  • 今では見られない貴重なコラボレーション。

  • I most cry. thank you...superb song!

  • Parabéns pela edição.

Obrigada amigo ( zovideos ) por compartilhar tão londo video.

  • Gracias por conpartir maravilloso!!!

  • oh, sorry, I found it.

  • hey, why was this cut off from the DVD?

  • She's hot

  • beautiful language, wonderful song

  • Merry Christmas from Boston MA USA

  • This takes my breath away, This is just so heavenly beutiful.

  • I keep meaning to learn Gaelic. If only they offered it at my college. :( Maybe when I go to the UK for grad school.

  • @Musicianofthenight....Well when you get to the UK don't ask to take a language class is Gaeilc then....Gaelic isn't a language...It's a language family made up of several languages and dialects. This language is Gaeilge which is the first official language of Ireland. It is used daily in our Government and court system. It's being taught again in our schools and is a required class. No one here would call it Gaelic or even Irish Gaelic. We just simply call it Irish....

  • @gaeilge101

Phoenetically, it has never been called anything other than Gaylick in Donegal and the rest of Ulster. In Scotland, it is phoenetically called Gaahlick. Gaeilge is the standard term used in Ireland and is prominent in Connacht.

  • @Falscaidh you are quite right many of the new age speakers call it gaeilge rather than gaelch

  • @vladcount galech is the silly american way of calling gaeilge galech gailec is the word we use that is a group of languages which includes french spanish and welsh and scotish and iriah are regarded as galech languages - ps its not just new age its always been called gaeilge

  • @vladcount In Munster and Ulster it's only called Gaeilge for state exams! Gaelaing and Gaeilic is the vernacular there. Gaeilge, from Connacht, is the accepted standard for the last 50 odd years.

  • @gaeilge101 Thank you! That's helpful.

  • So Orla can play the harp too! Celtic Woman features some extraordinarily talented women.

  • @parapluiesdechebourg Too bad Orla left CW.

  • Hearing this song always makes me wanna be Irish. :-(

  • I wonder how Lynn & Alex would sound singing this song. Celtic Woman should do a new Christmas concert.

  • I love it to hear Irish, as I know my family comes from Dublin and Duan Loaghaire, with is in Ireland. Love the songs of Celtic Women!!

  • Merry Xmas everyone!

  • I absolutely love this song. It took me a while to learn to sing it, but it was so worth the time.

  • I wish Orla hadn't left Celtic Woman. Her harp playing made her a unique singer for the group as she can sing & play the harp.

  • @Lizfan2 and she can play the violin and meav can also play the harp but less so within celtic woman orla is one of my faves she is so magical

  • I love Orla on the harp!

  • This song gives me chills :)

  • i wanna learn the language <3

  • Bravo.

  • What is the English translation for Don Oiche Ud Mbeithil? Beautiful song

  • Read all the comments on this video. Someone posted the translation about a year ago.

  • oh duh i missed that. thanks :)

  • Well I know that Oiche means either night or silent... :)

  • Oíche means night., The songs translates as 'to that night in Bethlehem'.

  • Gaelic is such a beautiful language. And orla on the harp is amazing. MUCH love to Celtic Woman!

  • This is absolutely stunning.

  • I just realized this....... in this song all the Irish speakers in the group are out on stage. Go Gaelige!!!

  • not Lisa

  • Gaelic is the most beautiful language ever!!!-I wish that I could speak it!

  • i dont know why but i prefer chloe when she's singing in celtic (gaelic? i always get confused lol) when shes singing in english she puts on an american accent but she sounds beautiful in this song.

  • This is so beautiful!!!! I lvoe Them all, but especially Chloe.

  • i totally agree with you!

  • I love it!

  • merry christmas everyone!

  • I wish Orla sang too as well as playing the harp in this.

  • That might not have been feasible though.

Orlagh speaks a different dialect of Irish.

Meav and Chloe speak the same dialect.

  • that's cool - but in an interview they said they speak it together often

  • Thank you for correcting my mistake. Go raibh maith agat.

  • Except for the fact that Orla is NOT from the same part of Ireland as the others. Chloe, Meav and Lisa were all born in Dublin. Orla was born in Knockananna which is in the southeast part of Ireland. It is true that they all can speak Gaeilge though. I say Gaeilge because that is Ireland's official language NOT Gaelic. Saying Gaeilge and Gaelic are the same is like saying Spanish and Latin are the same......similar yes but still different. And like you pointed out we call it Irish...

  • ah...the only one missing is lisa...I wonder how that would have sounded, if she was thrown into the mix. Not bad at all

  • They did the SAME thing when they did Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring.

But I remember that all the girls sang it when Deirdre was still in the group.

  • Oh I really love Orla! Her harp definitely added more texture to the whole rendition. It's giving me goosebumps! Perfect! :D

  • Meav actually sounds as if she speaks it - not so much with Chloe. Meav really does speak it fluently, though, which is why.

  • In Chloe's defense I believe she is learning Irish (Gaelic) in school.

  • really? That is so cool! I wish they'd do that here

  • god I wish I could sing to this ... Gaelic is really hard

  • its kinda easy, although not all poeple here speak it.

  • well I learned Dulaman - so I'm hopin' I can get this...this does the same thing as their O Holy Night...My chest hurts to breathe its so gorgeous...

  • Yeah Dulaman is fairly easy. Hahaha yeah i love this song, its my favourite!!!

  • oh I feel stupid. I read the words, and it doesn't go with their pronounciation, but whatever. I'm hoping to learn this by Christmas so I can sing it Christmas morning to my family

  • @cctc11891 its called irish or gailge not gaelic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @vladcount its not gailge its gaeilge

  • @werethatfresh i know im sorry - is brón orm !

  • Yes Yes Yes - FINALLY a Chloe/Meav duet! With Mairead! Is this heaven? They're all my favourites I always wanted them to be together! And Orla on the harp ... this is DEFINATELY my favourite of their DVD

  • a very nice song even though i did not understand a word.....thanks for uploading it celticwomanboy

  • never heard Chloe sing in Gaelic except for Sigma...bravo!

  • Can someone tell me what this song is about. thanks!

  • "Don Oiche Ud I mBithil" is Irish for "that night is bethlaham".

    Thats all i really know.

  • I see, Thanks!

  • I sing of a night in Bethlehem,

A night as bright as dawn.

I sing of that night in Bethlehem,

The night the word was born.

    The skies are glowing gaily,

The earth in white is dressed.

  • See Jesus in his cradle Drink deep in his Mother's breast. And there on a lonely hillside The shepherds bow down in fear When the heavens open brightly, And God's message rings out so clear: "Glory now to the Father In all the heavens high, And peace to his friends on earth below," Is all the angels cry. and I'm pretty sure this just posted in the wrong order... yeah....here's the translation.
  • You forgot to capitalize "the Word"... just a pet peeve I have about correctly naming a religious figure. ;)

  • Oh my freaking god....
