I can't get myself to hook on to the concerti. I just don't feel Chopin was in his element, despite the lovely ideas. I look forward to a day I hear them better, that has happened to me before with music I thought I didn't like, then grew into it. But for now, they feel contrived, no offense to those who enjoy them.
