  • i had 2 deep ones filled and didnt get any numbing at all lol

  • Sorry guys your not fooling me...

  • Much as I appreciate that this is for a younger audience, I think this video is slightly naiive to say the least. I have had several cavities down the years and none of them were as straightforward as shown here. It takes several minutes to get a cavity done and if you don't respond to the shot you'll be in trouble. I don't understand why but for me even the smaller fillings hurt a heck of a lot with or without a shot. Clean your teeth often and visit an oral hygenist to escape from this hell.

  • i got my cavitys filled today. definitely not that fast.

  • I wish my filling was that fast XD

  • sometimes for patients who are afraid of needles, like i am, most dentists will just use nitrous oxide gas for a minor procedure like this.

  • They forgot where they shove the big needle in your mouth.......

  • im 13 and im scared to go to the dentist, theres no black whole on my tooth but sometimes when i eat something sweet like icing it hurts my tooth, what is it? i have a dentist appointment today i hope to God that its not a cavity im scared of the numbing needle thing it hurts :(

  • @rockstarfame101 What was it?

  • @ebolaoutkast nothing no cavity just a sweet tooth haha

  • @rockstarfame101 I have the same thing happen when I eat fruit snacks x]

  • @rockstarfame101 You probably have just a minor cavity starting and it should be fixed in a jiffy. If it's not a cavity then it's more than likely - mouth and tooth cancer and the dentist will have to remove part of your jaw. But - look at the bright side - you can always get a job at the Ringling Bros.Barnum & Bailey Circus !!!!

  • @USPS4185 .... uhm no it wasnt it was a sweet tooth..?

  • gators getting really pissed off you can see it.

  • I Hate that whistle noise

  • why is the dentis not wearin gloves

  • Yea that gator fell great until until he goes back out into the receptionist office and pays the bill...then its OOOOOWIE all over again LOL!

  • cavitys aren t that fast i just had one and im 34

  • i hate the sound of the tooth whistle

  • i had a cavity filled today not too bad actually

  • is it really that easy?

  • I am having cavities filled this Monday, I'm freaking out, 24 years old but I have severe fear of Needles...also pills and anything involving the medical field, lol. I wish they would just put me out cold and do the procedure, knowing me I might flinch when that needle comes near me and it will get jammed somewhere bad. This video didn't do much for me except the Dentist was really cute, lol

  • I got like this numbing gel so i wouldnt feel the shot and i never did. Then they just filled my cavity and i didnt feel anything

  • he skipped the part where they shove a needle in your gums..

  • @hannahjamiehey Not all dentists do that. That is my dentist doesn't.

  • lol that gator got it easy

  • this would have been a great second experience for me if there wasnt a needle involved!

  • Mann I'm so freaked out, I'm having my first cavity filled next week XP This video did help a little bit, which is kind of funny considering I'm in my teens lol

  • @StaccatoTenuto - once again it could be a cavity and on the other hand it could be dental cancer.

  • omg the tooth whistle....

i HATE THAT NOISE SO MUCH! it's scared me ever since the first time i went to the dentist.

  • Does the shot hurt? I am getting one tomorrow. I AM SCARED!!!! I hope they don't do: Nitrus Oxide, Shot Injection.

  • @dylanmcferren How did it go? My dentists always use a topical anesthetic at the injection site before administering the local anesthetic. You feel it a little, but it's not bad.

  • @pfarnsworth84 I thought it was bad. But, it turned out great. No nitrous oxide. They numbed my gums and filled 2 cavities.

  • Agg, got my first cavity today. Getting it filled next week.

  • The needle they use does not really "hurt" or "sting". It feels simply like someone is pinching your gum really hard. That pinch last's LESS than a second, and then it's over-with. You might feel the Novocain entering into your gum, which might sting just a little bit. In about 3 minutes, it'll be so numb you won't realize anything is going on.

Overall, don't fret to much about the needed. It isn't THAT bad.

  • i had had a checkup today and i have my first "cavity" it was just a chip but i have to get it filled.wah

  • its not really painful. what bugs most people is the cold spray off the tool water on your poor tooth. like eating cold ice cream. that always bugs me. the little shot before is to help you feel even more comfortable and is incredibly small. the part i dont like about the dentist is the bleachy smell of the rooms. bleaughh. oh and that water on my teeth. still, you get used to it. its a bit like brushing your teeth in cold water. but nothing to worry about. its all part of having a nice smile.

  • u r soo motivating

thnks for help i really need that

  • wow its not that quick lol

  • they skipped the part about where he sticks a needle in your mouth lol

  • mine is today

  • is it really that quick? does it hurt when you get the shot?

  • @gut197 no it takes like 15 mins nd the shot didnt hurt for me.

  • The injection hurts more than the filling.

  • I had two fillings in my teeth at once. It didn't hurt at all. It might be different for every person. It really depends how the dentists decide to fill your cavity. Just tell your dentist that you are afraid of it hurting and ask if there is any way they can make it so it wont hurt as bad.

  • im scared im getting one on thursday does the shot hurt :(

  • guys dont worry about the shot. ok? i millions of other people can do it, so can you! im getting it tomorrow.

  • im getting one to day and the give u laughhing gas and u cant even feel it. when i saw the needle in my mouth i didnt even know it was already in mouth i thought they were about to put it in!

  • I wish it only took that long! HA!

  • its not bad. i had one. the didnt need a shot. it kind of tingles but its not bad. nothing to be afraid of

  • how long does fixing a small cavity is? please respond right away....:)

  • It really depends on the filling. It usually takes fifteen to thirty minutes.

  • took mine about 15 minutes for 2

  • u rock and ur gator

  • my sister needs to watch this!!

    EXCELLENT 5/5!

  • Im with yall i want it to take 5 seconds

  • excellent work

  • I wish it was that easy and less painful.I got to get a needle in my gums.Ouch that hurt very bad.lol

  • i wish it was that fast when you feel something thats a shot!

  • yeah i wish it took like 5 seconds lol

    God Bless

  • thanks

  • I've always wanted to be a Dental Hygienist but I'm terrified of the dentist! i don't know what it is about the chair that makes me squirm. When I was there the last time I had 4 cavities! My appointment to get them filled is tomorrow, can anyone show me there's nothing to be afraid of??

  • I am graduating from Dental Hygiene school in May...just a few weeks away! Going to dental hygiene school taught me a whole bunch about teeth and made me realize there is really nothing to be afraid of! :-)

  • there is something to be afraid of. The shot. I pray every night that I won't have a cavity

  • If only it was that simple.

  • dang, you got a big nice smile, i wish mine were like that, i need braces

  • looks like a painless, and fast procedure, hope if it ever happens to me that will happen :/

  • Great video. BTW, is the procedure really that fast lol? I have to get one done in the next few weeks.

  • Thank you.

I wish the procedure was that fast :)!

    Cullen

  • thank you for the video. my little brother is going to the dentist next week, but not for cavity. lol

  • I have other videos posted on going to the dentist for the first time, you should check them out so that he can see them too.

    Cullen :)

  • I had 9 done.

  • yikes does that hurt?

    I'm getting 3.

  • No it doesn't hurt, he shot tingles and they ask you to wait for five minutes, afterwards you come back and they insert the filling and you feel nothing. If you feel something I will pay you all of my money via paypal. The only thing you feel is the shot, which just tingles. Like a little pinch.
