  • Living in Dulwich, I still use the 12 alot. In fact, I am mst probably in one of these shots!!!!

Although I do miss he old routemasters, they were very cold!

Interesting to see in your random film, just how often 12s don't do their full route - Dulwich Library to (in those days ) Notting Hill (and now) Oxford circus. Nothing changes!

    Thanks for this,though. Happy memories

  • The Routemaster was user friendly and one felt secure and comfortable .Nice uphoslstery and the windows has curved, corners not ugly like the new models and even a clippie or conductor.

  • Thanks for the memories. I used to ride the 12 a lot back in the early eighties. I really miss the routemasters. The newer buses just don't seem to have any character to them. No distinct sound or feel.

  • those were the days when i liked tfl!

  • is there any way of getting these busses back?

  • i loved this bus route very much and was sad to see the route master go.

  • I missed the route masters so much but my love for the bendy buses grew stronger as time went by. Too bad the bendy buses don't take customers as far as other buses could. However it was quiet emotional back in 2004 when I found out these buses in the video were going. It felt like London was missing a majority of blood in it's veins.

  • Someone told me that the brakes on the routemasters are a real brute to operate.

  • Thanks for that. I think it's a really nice idea to document those little events that seem unnoticed and yet have some importance for a lot a people. Good job.
