First off I like DAC music. Always have!! But have you ever listened to his old music??? Those words in those songs were very raw. DAC may not be racist but the songs he sung were not kind to blacks. I'm not condeming or condoning his old music, afterall I still enjoy it today. But, I think it is safe to say that DAC is not fond of blacks all that much. That's his deal. To each his own. Afterall, there are a hell of a lot more blacks who are racist against whites than the reverse.

If you'll look at the monitor speakers in front of him, you'll see the lyric sheets. It's sad, but I guess it's just old age. I've been on stage with artists like George Jones and Merle Haggard, and they use monitor screens (like karoke) with the lyrics. But, you are right. You would think after singing the same songs night after night for years, they would remember 'em, but apparantly not.

I saw him in Mobile about 3 years ago and I was close to the stage.(Crap it was LOUD!)He didn't have lyric sheet, but he did have a song list. He even had, in big letters, MOBILE, ALABAMA written at the top of one sheet. I guess that was there to make sure he knew where he was. I don't think by the end of the show he even cared where he was, much less know. You may be right, however. I'm an old picker now and I have trouble remembering lyrics sometime but I always know where the pisser is!
