It's not rigged. Why would anyone go out of their way and rigg a backboard just for a youtube video? Way too expensive to try and rigg it. What happened is that the backboard was most likely in pretty bad condition. These boards in most schools aren't designed to take a beating. After years and years of people hanging on them eventually they will give and a little force is all it takes to shatter it. Happens a lot.
