Oh my God !!!! What the fuck. Practicing Kyudo Taihai form and imitating it´s shooting style with a western bow and one the top of that, encourage people to follow you with that bullshit. That´s only embarrassing
this guy is a shame for the kyudo schools, the material is not right, the technic, there are not!!!, the hakama is from a children!! is completly wrong all!!!
Thank you very much for your explanation. I now very little about the western bow. But the Japanese bow is a recurve bow also, and can be purchased as light as 6 kilograms. But if you're more familiar with this western bow, perhaps it's best you use that. We're it me, I'd probably change it to 'meditative archery' rather than zen archery, but that's just me. I'm sure you know best what it is you want to do.
I'm surprised that you use a western olympic recurve bow, rather than a Japanese bow, since Zen is a Japanese art form?
In my courses I teach youngsters with ADHS / ADS as well as grown ups.
I use the recurve bow instead of the Japanese bow due to the fact that the recurve is being build with low draw weights and is therefore also suitable for young people as well as people with back problems. As you know, a recurve bow stores more energy than an equivalent straight-limbed bow.
Clown, indeed! I don't know what is more, ridiculous or stupid...
