  • I love Marilyn Manson...have since i was in 6th grade im a sophmore now...and...uhm...Marilyn Manson is gettin' soft...How about Golden Age of Grotesque...THAT was Marilyn Manson...Not this...Not Eat Me Drink Me...Maybe he needs to snort more lines???

  • WOW...

    just amazingly WOW..

  • very excellent song.

  • "I wanna grow up... I wanna be... a big rock n' roll star..." ... that sums it up. Yea, Manson sells out... every fucking seat in the house, every fucking time.

  • @TheGutterpup, because he's the best. He's done what thousands to hundreds of thousands of other coulda-been/woulda-been artists and bands wished they could do, but he did it better and smarter. He is clearly smarter and more talented and more capable than most... and that's why he can sell records and put on sold-out concerts... he will go down in history for his accomplishments.

  • eat me drink me is an excellent album but it is really different about others MM's album. personnaly I think EMDM is the best album with the high end of low

  • Listen to Holy Wood, Mechanical Animals, and Antichrist Superstar in that order and you will not want to listen to this shit anymore....

  • @beingjoshmc, what? why wouldn't I? I am aware they are intended to be listened to in that order... and I have listened to them in that order more than a handful of times, I'm sure. Why would I "not want to listen to this shit anymore?" Did something scare you?

  • @Lovertits9 I'm saying that if you listen to the Triptych and his newer albums back-to-back, you will find that the albums in the Triptych are far superior to the new ones.

  • the best albums ....are ....Mechanical Animals .....Holywood .....and Eat me drink me .....this is MM

  • Some of the most powerful lyrics I have ever heard. MM<3

  • Justin Bieber is death metal, he almost kills me when he sings!

  • Incredible song

  • manson is sold

  • when i first heard this song, well actually till this day its one of the most sad, depressing songs i have ever heard. ever, just listin to the lyrycs.

  • This is probably my favorite song on this album (it ain't my favorite album but I still like it); the solo is amazing.

  • why does everyone hate on EM,DM? there were some damn good songs on that. I guess this album is better in some ways but I feel like ppl didn't give EM, DM a chance. Whatevah my fave is Golden Age of Grotesque.

  • @ihatecountry777 EMDM is grossly underrated. It's a fantastic album.

  • @ihatecountry777 Eat me, Drink me is one of my favorite albums, and the first manson CD I bought :3

  • @omgbehindya Yeah...EM,DM has a lot a good stuff and was the first album i bought too xD though i prefer golden age of grotesque :P

  • @ihatecountry777 People don't understand EM,DM it was an amazing and very talented album. it takes a lot of maturity and passion to understand what he was saying in that album. It all comes down to. It was totally different and not everyone understood. but that album i would say one of his best sense the spooky kids.

  • @TwiggyDwyer When I see EM, DM on the shelf with MM sitting there posing on the cover with his new emo haircut and his made for Hot Topic attitude I think, here is an artist whose recent albums had seen a drop off in sales compared to his earlier releases who decided to try and cater a little more to what the current trends were in order to gain back an edge and get his sales back up. It's very common, and although he stood for different principles when he was younger, money will corrupt anyone.

  • @beingjoshmc, you are so so silly. what you classified as Manson's "new emo haircut" is bassically the same hairstyle as the one he was sporting back in 2000 (circa Holy Wood)---just watch the Disposable Teens video for confirmation of that. Hot Topic attitude? What the fuck are you going on about; Hot Topic has been all about Marilyn Manson since long before EMDM was even dreamed up.

  • @Lovertits9 It's not about what Hot Topic is "all about", it's what he is about. Your telling me that you can't see a drastic change in his attitude and the way he markets himself? Shock Rock is out and he knows it, that's why he switched it up, not because of maturation, you can't honestly tell me that he is not just rehashing old ideas but presenting a different face because it is obvious. Listen to the new album and read the reviews, everybody sees it. BTW I am not dissing on MM, I'm a fan.

  • and how the fuck do you figure his shit has "dropped off in sales" --- manson is bigger than ever... golden age of grotesque (the last full length album before EMDM) went to NUMBER ONE on the Billboard Top 200, which means it sold even better than Antichrist Superstar (which is considered to have been his height of fame)... ACSS only reached number 3 on the billboard. So how are his record sales "dropping off." Maybe before you try to diss Manson you should do your research.

  • @Lovertits9 GAOG went Gold in the U.S. and Antichrist Superstar went platinum, which basically means that Antichrist sold about 2x what GAOG did, and Mechanical Animals sold almost 3x what GAOG did. His sales started dropping off with Holy Wood, which is actually my favorite album. :(

  • Manson still stands for the same principles he's always stood for, there is no evidence that his views or ideas have changed at all... it's never been about the money for Manson, only an idiot (or someone who really hasn't looked very deep into his body of work) would think that he's been corrupted by money.

  • @ihatecountry777 In all respects eat me drink me was millions times better then high end of low. Personally i found this album way to repetitive, and not the good kind. When you compare it to his old stuff it is a drastic change for the worse, the musical ideas are less impacting. EMDM had a sense of emotional presence when you listened to it, by that i mean you had to be in a certain mood to enjoy it (for me anyway). Im quite eager to hear his new stuff that him and twiggy are working on :D

  • @Frodamn hey do you or anyone else know the release date for his next album? because I thought it was supposed to be in 2010 and from what they said about it it should be good.

  • @ihatecountry777 wouldn't have a clue.

  • @ihatecountry777 It was too soft for peoples idea of what Marilyn Manson "should be" to them. But who cares. Believe it or not everyone hates it. People who can actually accept that Marilyn Manson can do more then just Antichrist Superstar ( And there are many believe it or not) enjoy EMDM. It is a great album and those who don't like it, oh well, we're doing just fine without you.

  • @ihatecountry777 I agree. At first I HATED EM,DM, I didn't give it a chance, but now I've gave it a chance it's one of my favourites...Kinda funny.

  • @ihatecountry777 i have a feeling the next album will be better than this one.

  • @KINDERF3LD999 one can only hope right?

  • @ihatecountry777 Disagree... Antichrist Superstar is his best and most his controversial album out there...

  • @LethalPhenomenon meh "best" is relative. I just personally enjoy the music on GOAG a lot more, it's different though. yeah Antichrist is more controversial but whatever.

  • @ihatecountry777 The problem people find with Eat Me, Drink Me is that, perhaps there is not as much of a band effort in that album and it shows. If you know, Tim Skold did everything aside from piano for that album. And it isn't ACS, which somehow people nag if it isn't ACS II: Industrial Boogaloo.

  • @ihatecountry777 If anyone is a fan of Marilyn Manson and the band, they should be happy for, or at least respect Eat Me, Drink Me. The album was not for us, but for Marilyn Manson alone. If it wasn't for that album, he wouldn't be here, and we wouldn't be hearing his intellect, art, and mind any longer. Eat Me, Drink Me is the best thing to happen to him and the fanbase, so for anyone to completely disregard it is not a fan of Marilyn Manson. The End.

  • amazing song =) amazing artist

  • Wait...What kidn of music is that?

Cuz M.M's music is Death Metal, right? But this looks like Alternative Rock...:O

  • @OnFire965Z Umm, I never really considered MM to be metal at all, he's more shock-rock, perhaps industrial rock (is there even such a genre?), anyway, he is definetly NOT Death Metal :)

  • @omgbehindya haha he's deff got his own little style going on!

  • @Lonewolf599 Indeed he has! ;)

  • @omgbehindya

    :D

  • @Lonewolf599

    lol :D

  • @omgbehindya its industrial metal i think. His first songs definitely were industrial metal...

  • @omgbehindya MA was sort of metal/hard rock, after that, he was sort of all over the place with genres

  • @OnFire965Z marilyn manson had a lot of calm music in the past, and MM music is what he choses to do :p

  • @OnFire965Z Not once has manson hit Death metal, he has definitely reached Industrial metal, but not death. its stayed close to industrial and alternative.

  • @Frodamn

Oh...He's better artist than i thought...

  • @OnFire965Z dude i think you dont rly know what death metal is...give an eye in cradle of filth and see ;) but some of their songs are black metal too :)

  • @SXIZOFREN1S

Well, I listen to Kataklysm and Megadeath...I'm sure that's death metal :D

I'm just saying this relation between M.M and Death Metal cuz somewhere says that his next album will be Death Metal...I think so...

    M.M FOR EVER! \m/

  • @OnFire965Z Yeah budy! M.M FOR EVER!!! \m/

  • @OnFire965Z no no no man his music is not death metal!!!! its rock!!!!

  • @OnFire965Z Marilyn Manson has never been death metal. Hell he isn't even metal.

    Just Rock n Roll.

  • @OnFire965Z Marilyn Manson's music is Death Metal? He's no where near Death Metal.

    I

    GOT

    IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @OnFire965Z im pretty sure death metal is that screaming shit but with a heavy sound im fairly sure he is considered norwegian black metal or just black metal but lets just say its kickass

  • @ioiiotu

No, he just wanted to be more personal. It's fine if you don't like EMDM, but this & GAOG were the shit! He's coming out with a heavier style album at around 2010-2011, so I guess you should be happy, hopefully.

  • @ioiiotu fuck you, He needs to change things up once and a while.

  • @ioiiotu I agree whole-heartedly...so true.

  • I love the emotional quality of this song. It definitely will bring many different emotions out of every listener. The vocals and the piano are very nice touches and overall this song is genius, another masterpiece made by a music legend.

  • his new album sounds more acoustic kinda feeling......not like his previous work but its kinda cool.... i mean, the elements are there in the lyrics, just slightly lacks in music but this track is my favorite of all in this album.....

love the piano and the voice................

  • This song move me to tears ! really ! <3

  • I remember myself last year, crying a lot while listening to this song. It was just so intense for me to listen to the lyrics, trying to forget about somebody who had hurt me so much. But I'm OK now, and everytime I listen to this, I just feel thankful for Manson because this song helped me get through.

  • as life goes one will move with it and grow and change and since music is an expression of the self, well then the music will change too and i am very impressed with this new sound.

  • A true artist is one who is able to drastically change their appearance of the visual message, in this case, the type of music. Marilyn Manson is readily able to change his artistic canvas. That is the sign of a true artist. But when you change your art, you always get critics who criticize the new material and stick to the old. Manson does not want to sound like he did 20 years ago, he wants to change. A true artist has to change. Marilyn Manson is a music god, only the best in his expertise.

  • @ShizzProductions Couldn't have said it better myself. He truly is an amazing artist.

  • Comment removed

  • @ShizzProductions Same as what "omgbehindya" says really. Nice to know that there are some proper intelligent fans out there rather than just the meat heads who just bang on about Antichrist Superstar. A phenomonal artist who still has an awful lot to give.

  • @ShizzProductions MHM!, his songs have many meanings, and to each person they can mean many and diverse things.

  • @ShizzProductions Totally agree with you!

  • @ShizzProductions just to be clear, i LOVE marilyn manson.. BUT, when you say "A true artist is one who is able to drastically change their appearance of the visual message, in this case, the type of music" .....not only does that not make any sense, but it also sounds ridiculous

  • @hockeywolf29 It makes perfect sense. Can you elaborate as to how you think otherwise?

  • @leninlikersclone for starters, it's bad english and you are not using those words in proper context.. it would make better sense if you wanted to say a true artist blah blah is able to change their conveyance of the visual message OR you could say a true artist blah blah is able to change THE appearance of the visual message.... BUT, either way it sounds like empty rhetoric and also stupid... BECAUSE, a "true" artist doesn't ever have to change shit, they can paint the same themes in the same

  • @hockeywolf29 It wasn't bad English. True it wasn't perfect, but he got across the message he wanted to.

"a "true" artist doesn't ever have to change shit, they can paint the same themes in the same"

A true artist is a person who looks at typical convention and flips it the bird. Manson doesn't give a flying fuck how other artists would have preferred to do things in accordance to their own ego.

  • @leninlikersclone medium or write the same songs in the same tone/style forever and still be considered a "true" artist because that is what art is..art doesn't give a fuck if the "true artist" progresses over time or not..ALSO, when u say he can change the "visual message .. the type of music" it sounds like nonsense, although music can at times be a visual art (i guess)it is generally thought of in AUDITORY terms and therefore the type of music is most consistently in NO CASE a visual message

  • @hockeywolf29 On his music changing, it is immaculately reflective of human nature. Manson is a human. He is constantly changing. His outlook on the world and its denizens is constantly changing. With varying perception, how can true art POSSIBLY remain static?

  • Marilyn Manson es el mejor, su voz y las letras son tan profundas, inmensooo!

  • manson fans deserve an album like this it is fukin amazing i am a huge fan of his old shit but also an even bigger fan of the high end of low

  • I was expecting another shitbrick like Eat Me, Drink Me when I looked up this album, I was pleasantly surprised. Good job, Manson, you aren't back quite yet, but you're getting there.

  • @mugofdoom What do you mean he's not back quite yet? He never went anywhere.

  • @fataltears666 Trust me, he did. His last two albums were terrible.

  • @mugofdoom Not quite. They were only terrible to people that don't appreciate art, and music. You have to understand, that Manson is 41 years old. He's not going to be able to sing like he could 20 years ago, so in order to continue to appreciate his music you need to get those thoughts out of your head. They were different from what we're used to from Manson but they were still amazing.

  • @fataltears666 My problem with them is more to do with the fact that his new music didn't seem to have much soul to it. His previous outings were more original, experimental and different, the last two were just rather generic, bland to me, like he was trying to emulate the rebellious teenage thought process to sell more albums. I completely respect your opinion on his albums, I'm just speaking solely from my tastes and what came to mind when I listen to Manson. No two musical tastes are alike.

  • awesome..!!

  • Manson forever.Period.

  • the other night one of my friends called me a fag cuz i drank his beer or something i dunno but i said can some one that listins to manson actualy be a homosexual? correct me if im wrong but i dont think it can and im not talking about lesbians lots of lesbians listin to manson:P i am a lil drunk right now...

  • @skynet1234567890 no the reason why you think nobody who listens to manson is gay is because you think you are not gay because you listen to manson which is wrong and you're probably just denying the truth. So there you go, you're gay.

  • @ighnaz ok 3 weeks later and im drunk and not in the mood of negtive comments so here's all im gonna say: fuck off

  • @skynet1234567890 it's not a negative comment. It's the truth. Get over it.

  • @ighnaz fuck off commie i said im not in the mood so go die in a fire or something...

  • so gail das lied

  • I love this song.....:)

  • <3

Words are beyond the calibre of the perfection of this (and all of his) songs (:

    Simply put.

  • This song would have to be one of my favourites off of this album, somewhat mellow, yet so emotional.

High end of Low, I would have to say, is probably his best album yet, other then some Manson classics.

  • I think this must be his best song of all time. And that says a lot.

  • There's just something about this song that moves me! I love it.

  • I know what you mean

smllmyfngrs but suicide isnt always the answer, though i have thought about it

theres always help for everyone, get help.. that's what some people are here for.

  • @marilynmansonfan99 You are correct. The way I look at it were all headed in that direction anyway.

  • I wish someone would push me over a cliff. I fucking hate my life. I just hope I can rationalize the next step soon.

  • @smllmyfngrs oh boy you have serious problems. life is more than that and you can do whatever you want with it. making it beautiful or making it trash is only your choice

  • @copilasatanista Point taken

  • @smllmyfngrs I think you need to 1. watch less tv, 2. get more angry. Life's shit, it's meant to be hated. That's how you find true beauty of it. Paradox, yet true.

  • @smllmyfngrs You are not believing in yourself. I think you're too over-impressed by "perfect people". Media makes money out of it but noone cares what effect it has on minds like yours. It is all a fucking joke and most of the idiots around you have no idea about. Trust me even if someone listens to manson doesn't mean they are right. Even if someone is just like you that does not make them right. Always put your individually over everyone else. Good and evil are just words nothing else. gl

  • shit this is emotinal, go manson go...

  • I've always felt Marilyn Manson were better at doing soft than heavy songs, and this one proves it!

  • @Laudanum000 there is an anguish in each note.

  • I just fucking love this song, people may not like it, but I'm enjoying the fact that all his albums are all different from one another.

  • i love ALL of his stuff.. like.. i would totally fuck him haha just cuz he's a prodogy

  • It's the film

Into the third act and the misery

That's not rain yo rapist werewolves

It's God pissing down on you.

    :3

  • i fuckin love this song but i can't find any sheets for this.

  • Simply amazing.

  • 1st or second best song on the whole album...Working on a piano cover now

  • does anyone know where i can get the piano sheet music for this? i cant find it anywhere and its a great song :(

  • @metatron2000 hoy dude when u get it i beg you send it to me to

  • yup always full of meaning and satisfaction to the listeners i luv this guy haha

  • david manson

  • mansons slower songs are always full of meaning if you look for it

  • Marilyn Manson is what Edgar Allen Poe would be like if he took up singing.

  • Right.

  • @xvxjulienxvx omg yes

  • His lyrics are like that of Edgar Allen Poe.

  • Great Song

I really need 2 get the album

  • ti amo da morire

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARILYN MANSON!!!!

  • I love this song it's so beautiful :3

  • This sounds like Bowie I love it.

  • manson = music + art + love + drugs + ...

    just luvin it

  • @6marilyn6mans0n6 Yeah, I agree! I love this song! ^^)

  • Is wonderful...I love Manson...

  • gr8 song!!! he's a very talented artist, but i must say i do prefer the alternate version more <3

  • me to ^^

  • This has to be one of his best songs it's amazing and that word is probably offending the song cause it's better than that. I really want to learn this on the piano

  • Great song. I would like to see him lose the shock rock look. He is a great guy without all the makeup. But I guess that's how he wanted Marilyn Manson to be.

  • This is the most amazing man ever, His music is so creative. I love him and all of his music

    long love manson <3

  • Fucking tomorrow getting to his gig on finland!!!<3

  • i love this man

  • best fucking song ever

  • He wrote some of the lyrics to this song in the Oracle in like 2003....

  • I would like to play this beautiful song on piano. Can you help me please to find th partitions on piano???

  • Im glad you said it was beautiful - it really is. One of his best, its like a f--- classical orchestrated masterpiece. Love you MM

  • Yeah omg ikr? All the lights came on and ppl were getting up. and i was like
