I know how you feel. I hav been trying for months, and finally my mom caved because the guy over the road from me has 10 kits [babies] for good homes. But she doesnt want anything to do with them. Keep persisting and you'll get one :)

everything I have read up on ferrets say don't wash them more then once a month.

you can wash a couple times year to be honest... you just have to keep their bedding and cage clean! :)

they only smell if u dont clean their cage on a regular basis and after u give them a bath and ugh man do thay stank haha i am only 12 years old and i have 2 ferrets both boys critter and cuddles haha and they are bros and 7 months old and critter is an albino and cuddles is brown and white haha

hehe, they do naturally have a strong odour though, it' jut a ferret thing - If you can't smell it, it's  cause you're used to the smell.

whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa....you are so wrong on that one, TeEnZiE!!! after a ferret comes out of water his skin oil glands go into overdrive to replace the oil that he lost in the water- so they smell worse after their baths! but it is important to have their skin clean...u shouldn't bathe then more than 1nce a month..read up on ferrets b4 u post these comments.

They are illegal in California. I would not recommend having one as there is no way to get its shots from a vet and proper care if it gets sick. With no vet care they can die very slow and painful and I wouldn't wish it on any animal.
