  • What's on the left side of the sun that thing is moving and it looks like it's coming to us? Sorry for my bad english.

  • Damn it was only a coincidence.

  • 0:10 is that venus or nibiru in the top left???/

  • WE'RE ALL GONNAAA DIEEE!!! Oh wait...this was 2 weeks ago, well atleast i know why it was warm that week...

  • That was actually a space rover ship from the dog planet Pluto. They do that all the time because they have no idea how the steering wheel works. If it was a comet it would actually be good because they are made of some stuff that can fuel fusion reactions and keep the sun burning longer. There is only about 95billion years of fuel left in the 24mev hydrogen/helium reaction cycle.

  • that explosion type thing on the opposite side was probably caused by the impact

  • THE WORLDS GUNNA END NOWWWWW

  • thats how unicorns are born :)

  • This video proves (If from NASA and not edited in anyway) that the sun is in fact either hollow, liquid, gasses and or some solid mass within the inside of the sun.

Since it exploded on opposite side it can mean a few things. It hit solid mass or the entry point pushed gases/liquid in the direction the comet entered.

We really can't say this or that about things in universe because we have no physical evidence.

We only relate things in universe by things we have on earth. That's science.

  • what was on the left in the first portion of the video?

  • @DarthKavu

    I think its a planet..

  • FUCK YEA.

  • IS THIS BAD?!!? D:

  • @ROBOBABY1000 doesn't change anything!

  • @LeTiProQuebecois oh thank god..thx ^^

  • ufo lol 0:30

  • SEARCH: MNA Headlines Remix

  • Chuck Norris felt he needed a quicker way to get a tan.

  • wtf did i watch

  • How come the sun shot out energy from the opposite side of getting hit??

AWESOME NASA!! Keep doing your thing ;)

  • @MsKTMvalley Thank you - that was a coronal mass ejection (also called CME). That was a coincidence only.

  • @camillasdo Yeah no. Frames missing from video, does not act like a comet by flaring up before it hits, you can look at many videos and compare and this is no comet. I have no idea what it could be but that's no comet, do 10minutes of research on the subject of objects hitting the sun and see for yourself.

  • @will3482 Why wouldn't a comment "flare" up as the rate of decay and thus the cloud reflecting energy increases?

  • @ghostid I can't tell you that, but you can youtube "objects hitting the sun" watch a handful of videos and you will understand what it does look like, and it don't look like this. I have no idea what it is but it's not a comet, I can't find any examples that look like this but I can find many comets hitting the sun and they all display the same features. Look for yourself.

  • @camillasdo - Don't think so. Other comet impacts show the same. Compare\measure the size of the tale disappearing in the sun. When the tale disappeared in the sun the comet should be almost at the other side of the sun and then there is the mass-ejection. No coincidence.

  • @camillasdo I like how when a comet is absorbed by the sun the CME is coincidence only...well OK.

love the trickel of info we trolls do get ..Thanks Nasa.

  • @camillasdo It's just like if you fall with your head forwards, your head can hurt in your back, or you can have a concussion in the back of your head. How a basketball goes back upwards if you throw it downwards. That's the shockwave from the Meteor/Comet, this is explained before on National Geographic if a meteor would've hit on for example place X (top of earth for example) there could also be a massive damage in place Y (bottom of earth) it's because of the shockwaves. Not coincidence...

  • why was the sun censored in the beginning? someone please explain thank you :)

  • @joshisastral The Sun is not censored but blocked out. This is how the LASCO instrument on NASA/ESA's SOHO satellite observes the Sun. The light from the Sun's disk needs to be blocked out so we can see the corona.

  • @camillasdo True, but it's much more fun if you try to make people believe that the sun is censored out to hide the alien base.

  • That wasn't a comet, it was Chuck Norris.

  • @RumbleM0NKEY dude that anit chuck norris because when chuck norris hits the sun it just cracks in half

  • shit

  • Alien:Fuck I can't believe I lost that job at Earth Observations.....*takes A swig Of space alcohol*, I just can' do this anymore *Throttle up*....... BOOM!

  • is green lantern at the end the movie when is kill the big boss in the sun

  • FAKE COMET WOULD HAVE MELTED

  • @ROKAKISS1 It did melt, don't worry.

  • i heard they shot bin ladens body at the sun... guess it just got there

  • drunk drivers..... aliens piloting UFOs under the influence is highly illegal and dangerous to those around you! dont drink and drive kids

  • @B5Jade584 i've played at the site you are lookign for go to >>> bit.ly\oStSy5 I made $600 last week playing free chip poker. You gotta be good though.

  • date online bit.ly\qfKLmR

  • the sun startded fading away, losing energy somehow, so an alien ufo said hell NAH I dont think so.. and shot a rock or and Ice missile so the sun can rejuvinate again. thanks space creature. if you look the sun was having a heart attack after it got hit it calmed down,... thanks again space alien

  • and there is Nibiru too :)

  • 9/11, Star Wars version

  • A comet discovered on Friday September 30, 2011 by an amateur astronomer disintegrated on Saturday October 1, 2011 when it plunged into the Sun. So awesome!!

  • sun killed ufo ufo left the game^^

  • Cool. Was that some kind of expulsion on the opposite side of the star after the comet hits?

  • @TheFrostedLlama Yes, it is called a Coronal Mass Ejection. And that was the main purpose for this video. It looks like the two events are connected, but they are not.

  • @camillasdo

it was that there was research triggered by this event looking into the possibility. Are you suggesting they already concluded 'no', or are you going on your gut feelings?

Do you know what the comet was composed of, or what normally triggers a CME? I would like to know the answers to these questions, thank you.

  • so...sun has gravity...umm life might be possible there i guess

  • @ogorain1 you're smart, all the other planets have gravity

  • @Th3Mavr1ck you're smart, sun is not planet

  • @ogorain1 i was referring to the earth since its the only thing with life on it in this galaxy smart guy!

  • Cool....Wonder how mant times a day the Sun eats comets?

  • Given the size, shouldn't this video be called "Planet Meets Sun"??? That thing looks bigger than Earth to me...

  • @mediumpimpn and how do u know that? :)

  • @mediumpimpn the first videos are misleading in deciding the actual size of the comet, the last 2 videos can show how small it really was compared to the sun. On the first video (the blue one) there is a bright spot on the top left corner, that is Mercury, on the other side of the Sun.

  • BOOM, HEADSHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It would be neat if they had an amusement park ride like that in Israel.

  • I dont get it????!!

  • WTF did i just watch :|

  • @Best7Account Would say the same thing when watch this! "Speed maths- multiplying without multiplying". Click on my username and check the vid. Cheers.

  • The SDO's imagery looks so awesome. I need to stop coming back here but I can't help it. Amazing video and some of the greatest comments LOL

  • it was just a giant fly that thought the sun was an opening to freedom,, but it zapped then gone bye bye

  • Here come the doomsday theories -_-

  • @Vankpker034 The obliteration of the Earth wouldn't be happening in our generation, and long after humans, unless we're somewhere else by then.

  • Will this effect my penis in any way?

  • @StapledFish It effected mine :(

  • @StapledFish This might. "Speed maths- multiplying without multiplying". Click on my username and check the vid. Cheers.

  • @StapledFish rap it in tinfoil cause it already has on mine.

  • @StapledFish LOLOLOL

  • @StapledFish

not unless your penis has a magnetic field

  • Lance Armstrong went on the sun and they aint no comit shiiiiii

  • Why is this trending? The youtube trending system must be completely broken or NASA is haxorin' youtube.

  • @BlueBerryWizard You don't find it fascinating how a comet dives into a star, a million time larger than Earth?

  • @camillasdo the sun is 100 times larger then earth

  • @kevinh205 Yes, I should have stated it differently. You can fit over 1,000,000 Earths inside the Sun. The Sun's diameter is over 100 Earths.

  • @kevinh205 actually you're an idiot... the Sun is 333,000 time bigger than the Earth. You could fit 100 Earths side to side across the DIAMETER, which means you could fit roughly a million Earths in the entire Sun. Planet Jupiter is 121 times bigger than the Earth... get ur facts right!

  • @camillasdo No, I like this, it's just I expect only garbage that the masses like to trend. How is this trending when most untermensch don't give a crap about these things? There should be some irrelevant sports event or something stupid like that trending right now. Did the masses of people suddenly develop a great interest in NASA & space?

  • @BlueBerryWizard I wish there was more interest not only in solar physics but all other space exploration missions. And that includes ESA or JAXA missions as well. There is so much to learn - even our own Star provides us with so many new clues thanks to missions like SOHO and now also SDO.

  • @BlueBerryWizard 2012... lol Everyones scared, every time someone says "comet" or speaks of a planet outside our solar system everyone freaks!

  • @camillasdo Eh looks like Youtube really is plotting to make everyone interested in space stuff and trending system is nothing but a lie. Look at the logo today.

  • @BlueBerryWizard Yea I saw that. Also because YouTube is behind SpaceLabs, which is a great STEM activity for kids. Their video is on my site.

  • Comet: Imma gonna end you!!! raaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!

Sun: Nom nom nom nom nom

  • and thats where babys come from

  • LOL!! that last image showing that tiny little dot floating across the screen WITH NO TAIL is just more proof of NASA lying.

Not only is that image faked, the size comparison doesn't even come close!! Oh also the fact the thing is going from side to side in the zoomed up image, and this thing whatever it was shot DIRECTLY at the sun in a head on collision.

    NASA fail.

  • @siqbrah LOL right back. There is no "lying" in this data. If you read the description you would have seen that the first part of the video (the blue and red) was from the SOHO spacecraft taking a few days ago, while the second parts were from the SDO spacecraft, taken during the July comet encounter.

  • My favourite planets the SUN

  • @cnoth686 suns not a planet its a star *facepalm*

  • are we suppose to be aware of somthing?

  • @fubangwha No - sun diving comets happen frequently.

  • Soooo, we gunna die or what, idc whats goin on. only if we're dead or not LOL

  • @ForsakenYoungOne Nope - we are all fine. It sometimes happens that a comet gets pulled into the Sun. It's such a great view.

  • @camillasdo Ohhhhh, cuz I read the thing below the video, it says that the comet could possibly cause a magnetic instability ?

  • @ForsakenYoungOne We do not believe so but we also don't straight out say no. Some scientists are reviewing this further but so far there has not been any connecting evidence.

  • @camillasdo So in essence it is possible ? But not likely ?

  • On my Birthday too... Wow...

  • @ZOMGaWEINER Happy belated Birthday!

  • @camillasdo It feels sorta strange when things are on my birthday (and other people who're born on October 1st.)

  • whats the round hting in the middle?

  • wont the comet just burn WTF?

  • what is this shit

  • @DrayneSC Thanks for watching and commenting. Took you longer than to read the description. Comet diving into the Sun. While it happens frequently, it is an amazing sight to watch.

  • now thats what i call a..

    *puts on shades*

    comet hitting the sun

    YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH

  • @rycegaming Epic way to die for an alien

  • This is kind of cool

  • elenin?

  • @TheEZPAXIIChannel No, Elenin is still out there loosing "steam".

  • so does that effect meon earth atol?

  • @airhead3333 Nothing really.

  • illuminati!

  • /watch?v=Fqtd54Zgcu4 <<< Its soo purty

  • this reminds me of that Knowing movie +_+

  • @imKellii By explode do you mean die out? Scientists predict another 3 billion years. But then again, what do we really know about the universe?

  • The sun is 15600000 K in size, for any scientific instrument to pick up such a comet it would have to be no smaller then the size of venus which is around 1000k smaller then earth. This comet however did not penetrate the sun, that idea is false. Although it visually looked so, all of which you seen was just a mirrored displacement of energy. Very interesting to see though ! :)

  • @darkpassenger071 What Does ALT Do?

  • could the world end cause of this? Just a question, sounds pretty doomsdayish to me.

  • @BubbleGumee1 No worries. These events sometimes happen.

  • @camillasdo actually the sun IS yellow hahahaa

  • @Girllz0 Nope, the Sun is not yellow, or red, or orange. The Sun is white. Want proof? Why does the a full moon look white? The Moon is not white? Or at noon the Sun is as white as it gets.

  • Chuck Norris was simply trying to teach his son how to skip stones. Let the man be.

  • @uceyeguy 33 and telling chuck norris jokes? Really?

  • @GrenadeCatcher Haha! Good one! You're right. What was I thinking, having a sense of humor at 33. I better go back to playing video games, and posting them on youtube so that my tens of viewers can watch.

  • @uceyeguy It would be an upgrade from doing chuck norris jokes but i fear you'd even fail at that.

  • @GrenadeCatcher Well, sad to say I'm not great at video games, so you're probably right. Never had the time I guess.

  • That's what happens when Kamehamehas are shot out of the Earth's atmosphere

  • RIP TUPAC

  • omfg i love technology

  • is this why these few days were so hot? (even with winter approaching?)

  • why does it skip from 0:05 - 0:06 - i wonder what the rest looks like.

  • @camillasdo That's not the point. The point is we pay these idiots big money to spot stuff that could be threatening to our planet and yet they couldn't even find a man made 6 ton satellite that orbits the earth. It's not small tiny rock, this is a massive bloody satellite. How the hell are we supposed to have faith in these people when they plan trajectories or in finding threatening NEO's?

  • @Nags You're an idiot. Go look up how many satellites orbit the earth. Besides that, who the fuck was looking for this to begin with? No one. It was forgotten, and for good reason as it didn't do shit to us.

  • @Haseeebo Actually, many people were. People wanted to know where this 6 ton satellite was gonna land on but NASA couldn't even predict that. I don't know about you, but I'd like to know if something that large was gonna land in my backyard, moron. But hey, lets keep paying them big bucks to sit around and do absolutely nothing because all these dangerously objects that pass us are getting found by nobodies compared to the ones were funding.

  • what is that thing in the top left corner?

  • @TheDesturbedOne Mercury

  • one less space debris that could have hit the earth, only a few hundred billion more to go. that was easy

  • so a comet this zise would harm the earth?

  • FAKE?

  • @w1zzleee Can you read? SOHO captured this. It's a space observatory.

  • @xDarkside101x and what is SOHO

  • @w1zzleee SOHO stands for Solar and Heliospheric Observatory and is a satellite that studies the Sun 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruptions.

  • @w1zzleee Nope both SOHO and SDO's images are real. Of course the Sun is not blue, red, yellow or brown. Those are computer generated colors.

  • @camillasdo The different colors are different spectrums of light blue is UV ect...

  • the comet was like "WEEEEEEE, OH SHIT SUN!!"

and the sun was like "nom"

  • Sun is like ouch that burns

  • I hate when people say "thumbs up if you agree!" Don't you? thumbs up if you agree.

    LOLOLOL Jk. No seriously, though.

  • COmments crack me UP!!!!hahahah

  • I really don't like how an amateur astronomer discovered something entering our system with this force one day before impact. Don't we pay people millions and millions of dollars to be watching for this shit?

I guess it's not like we could stop it. What would they do, make an official announcement for everyone on Earth to grab their ankles and hold on for dear life? ^_^

  • @truthIsStranger You mean the same people who couldn't figure out where a 6 ton satellite was going to fall?

  • Comment removed

  • @truthIsStranger Why are you bothered that a comet hit the sun? NASA isn't just for monitoring objects in our system, even if it was they don't have the personnel or funding to cover 100% of our system 100% of the time. They do way more research than most people seem to realize. If this comet had been a threat to earth and it wasn't reported sooner then I could understand you being bothered by it but I for one one am happy they share things like this. I would never get to see this otherwise.

  • @ghostid

I wasn't bothered about it. But you should think harder, they didn't see the comet AT ALL. It's not as if they knew it was no threat. The sun is pretty fucking close to our planet! : (

Now, whether or not it's worth the money, depends on the economic conditions. I love the photos and videos of space and its events very much, too. Remember Space channel news? That was great!

But as I said, we can find all the comets in the world, we're still fucked if it hits us. So... meh?

  • I find it remarkable that the sun ejected the particles with more force than the impact of hte comet itself. I guess that can't possibly be true, but it does look that way. Fascinating!
