You're right... but a cover is open to interpretation. Cover's aren't all suppose to EXACTLY like the song. Possibly thought this might sound better, he's also using a capo even though they don't in the original song. Just my two cents.
this is true. i was just clarifying so people know these arent the real chords. and if you are changing something in your interpretation. you also have to change vocally to match those changes no matter how small the change is.
there are no "real chords" to this song. ive seen it played about 8 different ways nd they all sound great. this may be a little fast but it is still a great cover

its actually not the right chords. they are close but its a C9 instead of the standard C you are doing for the last chord.
and your second chord is wrong. should be a D/F#. and yes it makes a difference because the bass note is off
that was just to settle the chord argument. you did a good job though. lol
