  • Clapton says in his autobiography that touring with Billy was a little like being Billy's special guest, rather than the other way around - and Clapton wasn't complaining!

  • Two ex-Beatles ....besides Paul, John, Ringo & George, that is.

  • He was great!!! We can guess what The Beatles saw in him. A Man with a great love for music

  • BP RIP. Organ master....makes me tremble every time i hear it. I love the solo from "Have You Ever Loved A Woman" from EC's "One More Car, One More Rider" album. no better in the world on the Hammond than BP. Hope to see you up the Billy...maybe you can teach me a thing or two.

  • Wow....... This brings back memories of seeing this in DC when this tour came there. What a blast. I'll never forget that night! This was one of the many of the shows highlights. RIP Billy.

  • EPIC. Billy saved the beatles!

  • GRIN

  • i bought this dvd not knowing about BP's incredible inclusion and is now the favorite concert of my collection, simply due to that! the dvd i commercially purchased includes "Circles". it's the first song of the encore! how fitting! i noticed those same "looks", etc from EC, and Nathan too, knowing they were all enjoying each other, but sort of waiting in anticipation for Billy's parts! to have "those" cats waiting to hear what "you" have to play... man...

  • The power to move you. He's feelling it, we all are feeling it. Chills all over the song

  • George Clooney at 1:24 LOL

  • Check out his performance of 'Isn't it a Pity' on the 'Concert for George' DVD. You cannot claim to have a complete life until you do.

I saw Billy on April 12, 1972, in Birmingham, AL.

  • @thebird55 Billy's consummate talents in "Isn't It a Pity" at Royal Albert Hall "Concert for George" are marvellous--indeed the entire ensemble reflects total excellence in this tribute to George--this particular song moved me when I was a teen, and brings me to tears today

  • Now he play in heaven. Miss you all Billy

  • NEM PRECISA COMENTAR. ESTE CARA É UM SHOW

  • I'm sure Billy has an afro now that is five times as big as the one he had in the 70's.

  • @TheFpuff :)

  • Billy you were one of the best. And now you are flying high like a bird up in the sky. Luv you forever!

  • Great video!

But I have to say that I miss Billy's afro--nicest afro I ever saw.

Maybe he's got it in heaven.

  • This is one of the best recordings of all time. Clapton and Billy? You fucking kidding me? You bet your ass!

  • I bought the single the day it came out and have loved it ever since.

One of the few people who could make playing keys look cool! RIP Billy...

  • You could tell that Billy Preston loved to perform. This song is amazing and I can't praise it enough. He's keeping heaven entertained with this kind of sound.

  • EC loved Billy...you could see that every time he looked at him after Billy played some extra hot lick. He visited him too shortly before his death. RIP Billy...I know you're "giggin" in heaven and playing B-3 for the One I know you loved above all.

Richard Page (organist for Evangelist AA Allen)

  • @RPMmusic1 Nice comment. You are a blessed man with such a wonderful talent too.

  • @RPMmusic1 been an ache in my heart for many, many years 'cause I miss Billy so much--he played our Hammond at Glad Tidings Temple, Vancouver in '62 ad the church's dedication--Doris Akers was at the piano directing our choir---she taught us how to really SING~! I pray his name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life--it HAS to be--got us some serious parTAY'in to do to glorify our Lord--music right there at His helm--thank you, Father for the giving us the music to praise and worship you~!

  • @warmlandlass1 Vancouver was the only place I ever personally met and spoke with Billy. We were both at the airport in about 1973. I've played for Doris a few times including the last Sky Pilot release Hal recorded in the 70's. Amen to all you said and many blessings, Richard Page

  • @RPMmusic1 This really gladdens my heart, Richard--you have no idea...thank you! blessings chase and overtake you, my new friend--I enjoy your music--keep the musical soul a-burnin' for the Lord.

  • This tour was my first Clapton concert (Phoenix). The assembly of talent onstage was simply awesome. Virtuosos in heir own right, all under one roof, with a great palette of songs. Still makes the hair stand up on my neck to this day. Billy closed the show with great energy.....

    RIP Billy

  • If you don't shake your feet or your head with this song, I bet you're dead.

  • I was actually at this very concert.

At the time I was only 10 or 11 and didn't know who Billy Preston was until my dad told me as we left the concert.

This was the first song of the encore. It really got the crowd moving--Even me, though I had never heard it before. We thoguht later that maybe they should have moved it to earlier in the show to get it started with a bang.
