I don't care if the film didn't become a success, but still I loved this film and still do since I saw it as a child. The tickling sequence to me was probably the craziest and funniest of all the sequences in the film. And a splendid way to kill a cartoon villain too, not to mention.
Oddly enough I think his plan WAS to explode. His idea of a "Last Laugh," it seems, would be where he'd laugh so hard he'd expand to as big as he could - until he would explode. They simply beat him to it by popping him.
Am I the only one or does that pillow thingy remind you of something off of "The nightmare before Christmas?" Oogie Boogie maybe? Perhaps this film was inspiration.
And was Velveteen rabbit before or after this movie?
What happened?! I thought they were miles a way from the house, but they end up in small pool. If they were able swim, it would only have taken them a few seconds to get the other side.
@jacksrumgone When the King exploded he either killed them and they reincarnated by the house, or, alternatively, his explosion opened up a worm hole that deposited them in the nearest body of water closest to their point of origin.
@TheSimV2010 No, what happened was that the ocean itself was the koi pond (or whatever that reservoir was) in her yard, and everything else they encountered was something in her yard (regardless of whether or not Marcella could see it). The explosion knocked them all out until Marcella came along and found them.
I am really starting to dislike Disney. It would be one thing if they stuck to airing their own films, but why do they have to keep airing the films of other companies?!
I still think the animation, after King Koo Koo explodes, of Raggedy Ann and Andy and the Camel falling down that tube was actually drawn for their arrival in Looney Land as it is consistent with the Black & White style used in that sequence. Also you hear Raggedy Ann talking to Babbette (who isn't present). Something tells me there was supposed to be something else happening that never got animated or used.
@benademusu495 The actor who played his voice , I finally seen what his face looks like cause I'm so curious what the actors faces look who did the voices . He was in a movie swashbuckler and he was the bad guys torture guy . He really does fit andy on how he looks in real life . He short with curly blond hair with an teenage indicent face . So interesting .
GAH! The teary eyed camel did me in!

I'm scared. This movie has fetishes. It's okay, I wasn't planning on sleeping tonight anyways.

That jester, wasn't he a logo for a cartoon company back in the 40's?
psistis80 6 months ago
@psistis80 It does look like the logo for Harvey Films/Cartoons, which did the Little Audrey cartoons and Casper cartoons.

I just realized, is that guy at 1:42 supposed to be a caricature of Richard Williams? Was that bit a joke about him quitting or something?

I never really like the part where they encouraged the parrot to "blow up" King Koo Koo. That sounds too much like murder to me. :/

I love that the parrot was the most competant of all the characters.
