I love Henry/Jane. She's always been my favourite out of the wives and I truly believe she was the one Henry loved most. I believe he loved all the Queens as well. The show is a little wrong though for drama reasons. Jane never did anything with Henry while he was with Anne. He tried and she, unlike Anne, point blank refused to be with him in anyway while he was married to Anne. Anne however, driven partly by her emotions and scheming father didnt really care as much for Catherine of Aragon
they let you see what you wanne see, other wise there would nog be enough watchers.. i am a huge fan of henry VIII and his wifes, especially of anne but i love jane to.. anne made some big mistake and that all would be fine if she could gave henry the son he wanted so badly and after her there was jane, she was sweet to him and he liked that about her and after she gave him a son everything would have been ok, she would have been queen forever but i do think that he love anne and jane very much
Why is it that on nearly every Jane Seymour vid, there are people talking about Anne Boleyn? This video isn't about Anne, it's about Jane. I believe Henry loved them both.
@iluvwinterweather I know. I wish those fans would keep their anti-Jane/pro-Anne attitudes off of the videos not meant for that purpose. Some of them are quite rude too.
I stand by my theory that Henry loved all his wives. They just fit in certain parts of his life.
Catherine: He loved her, but she was older and he wanted an heir. Simple as that. She didn't do anything wrong, he just wanted an heir.
Anne: She was young, passionate, opinionated, and strong. She had a very brilliant mind. Without her, we wouldn't have Elizabeth, so how can we hate her?
Jane: Sweet and unlike Anne in most ways. Made Henry feel needed. He considered her his true wife
I'm not a Seymour's fan. I prefere Anne Boleyn. But I like Jane too and when he says "Please god, Edouard needs his mother and I need my Queen", it makes me cry. But it seems that he doesn't thinked about Elisabeth when he killed Anne...
This is a beautiful video, I love it so much, made me cry...but yes they need their mother too, but he considered her his only true wife, since she gave him a son, he's buried with her
@xRAINBOWxDAYDREAMERx How do you know? It is known that her brother,in conversations, told that it was better that she died or she would have the same fate as the others.Henry himself threatened her, they even have a scene of that in The Tudors series.
@linegenrou Well, Henry VIII is buried next to her, that says alot. And if you look at the series, she brought everything good out of him. He got really depressed when she died..
@linegenrou that's because she never did what he said. XD And Queens can't have "lovers". That's allmost the same reason Catherine Howerd dies. Well, you're right, Henry did love Anne Boleyn for a while, but at the end he hated her.
@xRAINBOWxDAYDREAMERx he is burried next to her because she gave him a son, is she that hadnt happen she would have end up like anne, he needed a heir because before him there was a queen that ruiled the country and in her time engeland was torn in a civil war.. he tought that a women coudnt rule a country.. and your talking about a serie you know, there goes a story that the REAL henry didnt come to his wife when she was sick, that he let her die without saying goodbye,
Absoluetly lovely. =] Beautiful and emotional. I love Henry/Jane. She was always my favourite since I was little out of all of his wives. Well done on the editing, keep it up. :) xx
@EerieAlice I view Jane as someone who was simply decent and made life for Henry so uncomplicated. She was a good person. The difference with her is that she was someone that no one wanted dead. No one was happy at her death.
Jane is not a bitch, she is just very different from Anne, however the one thing that makes them simillar is that Jane copied Anne in her courtship of the King - Jane played hard to get - in fact, she basically told him the same as Anne - if you dont marry me you cant have me - Henry loved them both I beleive - in differing ways, but I beleive that Anne was always his real passion - no one could challenge him or match his intellect like she could - he missed that too I think
I love your video. I cried when she died in childbirth. I thought she was so sweet and kind to have tried to be a peacemaker with his daughters. I do love Natalie Dormer thought as Anne. But, the the show is great. You made a great video!
I really admire and respect Jane because she was so kind to Henry's daughters. They were not her own children, but she helped them and welcomed them as if they were her own.
I think the reason that some people dislike Jane is because she did not stand up to Henry quite as much as Katherine of Aragon, and she is not known for having a fiery personality, unlike that of Anne Boleyn.
She's so unpopular coming after Anne B., for reasons not entirely her fault. I think that the Tudors really managed to overcome that to endear her to fans, on her own grounds.
Yes, she's quite unpopular with Anne Boleyn fans. Although, I really don't know why. She didn't do anymore to Anne than Anne helped Henry do to Katherine. I just wish, "The Tudors, would have showed Jane a lot longer this season. I feel like we didn't see her enough.
She was incredibly strong. She was brave enough to marry a tyrant, took on 2 step-daughters as her own, and helped to bring The Tudor family back together. Jane didn't have to be anything like Anne Boleyn. She was her own person, and a good person at that.
I agree with you. She'd have to be at least a little strong, in order to convince Henry to include his daughters back in his life again. I'm sure that idea did not sit well with Henry at first.
I think she is so underrated because she was wife after Katherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn, so she is compared to those two a lot. Maybe she wasn't as fiery or strong as those two, but she had to have some strength to accomplish what she did and bring his daughters back into his life.
Indeed I agree, I think what some people tend to forget is that she was living in the 16th Century. Being strong and outspoken was not a known trait for women in those times. You cannot judge her on the basis of what you expect a woman to be today. You have to remember women didn't have rights back then.......
Obviously she had strength oherwise why on Earth would she confront Henry about Mary & the pilgramiges. That takes courage especially after knowing what your fate could be... IMO you always have to watch out for the "quiet" ones, they're the most dangerous; the loud ones just tell it as it is. The whole AB trip is getting really old..
I know, look at Catherine everyone thought when she married Henry "What a nice, obiedent wife" se will be, well a year into their marriage they'd already had a huge shouting match over his affair, not forgetting what a strong Queen Regent she was, and she was far from quiet about the divorce. She was a calm quiet person on the ouside but when she needed to be she could be very outspoken
Hmm, I see the point you are trying to convey and I do agree that arguing about it is senseless because only Henry would know who he did and didn't love. But yes, I do believe Annes strong, intelligent, independent and BEAUTIFUL personality was a turn off to Henry because he was used to doing whatever he wanted with a wife that looked the other way. Anne wasn't a wilting flower like most women of her day, and so she was punished for it. God rest her soul. <3
neither was Katherine and because she was too proud and willing to fight that is why henry fought her more, I do belief that jane was more passive yet her ending was tragic in some ways

Henery was with Queen Anne for a total of 8 years, he had plenty of time to see her 'true' personality. Jane resisted Henry the way Anne did and he picked the route that would be the easiest to get rid of Anne so he could have Jane. Henry was always wanting women and any that didn't submit he found a way to get her.
you are right LNOR I dont think he did love her, he loved only one person =him, but stil I agree it was tragic, her ending was and the part where he is like my son needs his mother nearly made me cry, it was so sad how all the children lost their mother

because she gave him his only legitimate son. According to my history professor, Jane was the only wife who got the "queens burial."
Anne of Cleves: He didn't really love her.
Catherine: Made him feel young, and was young.
Catherine Parr: Brought the family closer. So all these women were needed at different times in his life.
-~~ Beautiful video by the way lol
