@lovingbotdf it's not alec or Sebastian. It's Jonathan , but not jace Jonathan, it's the real Jonathan Christopher that clary's mother gave birth to. Jonathan and valentine did something to sabastian and jonathan took sabastian's place by dying his hair black so he could down the wards that were protecting the city. Jonathan ends up dying but you never find out what happens to the real sabastian so everyone assumes he's dead.

I only agree with Alex Pettefer for Jace. Alec is a shadowhunter, he should not be that skinny. The girl for Clary should be prettier. Like they took a really pretty girl (Kristen stewart) for Bella in Twilight and sorta made her uglier for the movie. They should do that for this so when they need to she can be really pretty. And I just do not see Criss angel as magnus. Just no way. And simon? No. He should be taller with a skinnier face and paler. And I do not see "sexy" in that girl for isabel

I think Saoirse Ronan would be the best Clary, she's at least close to Clary's age in the book, she does at least have the same look as her, and with makeup on(versus her without), she really fits that incredible transformation Isobel did when she dressed Clary up for Magnus Bane's party. On top of that you can dye her hair and the same shade of red as Clary's, and pop in some green contacts.
