  • It's more a case of emphasis on the bass strings rather than only playing the bass strings. If you strum all 6 strings all the time then the song loses some of it's style. If you look at the 3rd video you may notice I rest the heel of my hand gently on the bridge pins and pivot at the wrist so the fingers "rock" slightly between the bass strings and the treble strings. As I don't play with a plectrum sometimes the bass strings don't maybe get as much "attack" as they should.
