  • I have both the Kia Rondo and now a Mazda 5(2008 for Rondo, 2012 for 5). I can honestly say that both cars do their intended duty well. And, yes, the 5's handling is just a weeeee bit tighter than the Rondo's, but not too discernibly, IMHO.

  • put some rims on it..tint the windows,,,put some tv's and shit in there,,,and a loud ass rice burning muffler and just pimp it out..lol

  • can you get after market parts or are KIAs dealer dependent?

  • resale value is horrible!

  • I purchased a brand new Kia Rondo in Feb of 08. The vehicle blue-books at 9,500. I owe 7,890. One of the great things about Kia is that they are holding their value VERY well these days.

  • My grandmother has a 2005 Rondo and it is comfortable.

  • @Goldenrod636 The Rondo made it's debut to the USA in 2007. Nice little wagon.

  • nice car i have one

  • I've been driving one for over two years. Can't say enough good things about it. Perfect family car.

  • Where would the dog go though?

  • Well, I've got a miniature schnauzer! Lots of space for him!

But if you have a bigger dog then you wouldn't use the small back row of seats. When they're folded down you could get a small horse in the trunk!!

I think I've actually only had the small back row of seats up about twice in 2 years. Not much call for 7 seats.

  • I often have all kinds of stuff in the trunk, blankets to sit on, a box to put loose stuff in, a couple of lawn chairs, etc. I can't just toss the dog amongst a bunch of loose stuff in a un-compartmentalized trunk area.

I don't like putting the dog in a crate or cage either. That cage would take up a lot of space.

What might be possible though is a barrier of sorts. But that barrier would have to be easily removable to make the 3rd row seat available.

  • @a1mint just kill the dam dog.

  • my dad just drove one today as a rental and it actully has a semi-automatic transmission. the redline is 7000rpm

  • .This car is so practical and versatile!

  • I am very surprised by this vehicle, it's such a small car, and yet the third row isn't as small as you'd think. It kicks the third row seats of the pathetic ass BMW X5 by far.

  • Why can't the domestic car makes make this? They would balk at making a car that carries 7 people, because they want to force people that seek utility into suv's and minivans.

That's one of the main reasons the domestic car makers are suffering, and well, about to die altogether, bailout or not (bailout - wham bam thank you mam).

  • Give it a supercharger

  • drove a rental rondo 1500km one weekend with the girlfriend...very easy to drive, easy to get used to, SOOOO much more comfortable and stable than my car (a 99 mazda protege, so not a big achievement there). I think it looks great too :)

  • I love going fast but there is something charming about a simple little car like the Rondo. Good job Kia, Keep it up

  • I love the Rhondo!
