Sorry, my chinese is bad ;)

  • @MrTargumon

    not really,

  • @MrTargumon

    Yeah, your CHinese is bad.

My first impression is about "lesbian", because of 同的女的

  • @fuckwangdan Dumbass, lesbian is "同性人的女性".....

  • @MrTargumon In recent years,男同 女同 implies gay and lesbian in mandarin. I cannot understand what do you mean by 我是见同的女的全视频 either. Moreover,同性人的女性 is not a proper phrase, I think what u wanna say is 同性恋的女性.

  • Very beautiful!

  • in the first this music sounds very strange ,but after hearing it a lot of time i can find the beauty on it

  • Deep in the Night, lasting appeal, a gas, tubular one!* Translated from @peterhwn

  • @flickded Thanks

  • Brilliant! It may not hv anything to do " ye shen chen",but it is beautiful to watch. Thanks for the effort!

  • @bemyselffloater - It'd be helpful for non-CHN speaking people to know that "Ye Shen Chen" = "The Night is dark."

  • so beautiful!

  • do Chinese people in the very past like slanted eyes? Because in this Beijing Opera, they emphasize the eyes. I think it's a shame that people get influenced easily and now think that big eyes are prettier. just saying. :D

The soloist name is 张素英, type in her name alone with 夜深沉on youtube, there is a tape of her playing this piece

  • does anyone know how much is a ticket to the opera?

  • @0casteloencantado0 less than 5 dollars... for the most case

  • the decorated helmet is heavy. they must tie up the internal surface of it to their heads. every actor has strong neck muscle.

  • Beijing opera would be finished without CCP reviving it.

  • That seems to be the case in recent years. But at the start it purged the famous opera singers and other singers such as Chou shuan who was forced into suicide. Communists considered them as the leftovers of feudalism and capitalism. The present Beijing government is no longer a real communist government. They reserve some discipline while allowing revival of arts and traditional values. I praise them for that! This is a government that has saved China from Mao's radicalism and dictatorship.

  • This is a generalization. Beijing opera as an art form has never been purged. The Chinese government by introducing revolutinary themes actually helped to sustain and promote the traditional art forms. Great credit to them.

  • @sweeyue

I grew up in Taiwan and I might have heard too much anti-communist propaganda. Thank you for helping me understand! It is good to know!

  • @DesignerQoo

Tiananmen incident was a foreigners-engineered coup to overthrow the Chinese government with Chinese student leaders already giving their souls to foreigners! Heard Dr. Kissnger who said, and I quote, "No nation in the world would tolerate such disorder!"

Heard Kent State incident? National guards moved in campus to shoot students who protested war peacefully in campus at Kent, Ohio! Wake up!

I happen to know this very well!

  • @david1234lee Communism was the worst system humanity has ever invented. They murdered more people than Nazis.

  • @CrazyLeiFeng

A large part of western democracy is pillared on the idea of communism to average the national riches accumulated and redistribute them indirectly. China's thousands of years in feudalsm rsulted in 1% of the population owning 99% of the lands. Killing became a needed evil for the government to take back the lands from the minority who had inderited them. China had no other choice.

  • @david1234lee Not true. Communist Party murdered or starved millions of people and stole the land. Mainland peasants cannot own the land. They cannot use it for collateral to borrow monay from a bank. Mainland peasants are forced that way to become a cheap labor in factories. Meanwhile in Taiwan KMT introduce peaceful land reform. Nobody got killed. Taiwan peasants own their land and are prosperous.

  • @CrazyLeiFeng

Taiwan's situation is different. Lands belong to the nation. Ths is the heart of communism. Farmers leaving home towns to seek higher wages. Many farmers in Taiwan become millionares after selling their farms for industry use. If KMT did well on mainland, they should not have lost it. Too many corruptions!

  • @CrazyLeiFeng Oh really? you have any evidence to support your argument?? Or it's just based on your personal impressions and feelings and opinions rather than external facts?

Not that I am a supporter of communism, it's just you people need to be reasonable!

  • @cicikennel I agree with you, cicikennel.

CrazyLeiFeng is, well, CRAZY. Forgive this sick person.

If Chairman Mao didn't start the revolution, China will still be in the "dark ages" today. Look at Taiwan, what did they achieve? Chen-Sui-Beng (corrupted Taiwan president, with backing from USA) is sooooo democratic and loves his "country" - Why is he in jail? Why are most of his assets in the USA??

  • I still think Concubine Wu still gets the short end of the stick! in this opera!

Does anyone know how long these two performed together?

    I love Classical Chinese Opera!

    Thanks for posting!

    "she" is HE o_o ¡

  • I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

  • An extremely beautiful musical piece.

Are you sure this is stage music? In my humble opinion it is not. It belongs to chamber music.

  • It is peking opera music. One of the most famous piece, written in 1920s. Peking Opera and Kun Opera had been frequently performed in Emperors' court during Qing Dyansty. So you can call Peking Opera a court music as well.
