I have an issue with the iPad 2 and hooking up an external sound card. I have audio Kontrol 1 hooked up to a powered usb hub then into the iPad 2 camera connection kit (mac 30 pin to USB) I want to get audio to a external sound card and not use 1/8 inch jack.
hey there cool stuff i got a question..im got a labtop im trying to hear the next priview song to be played thro my house speakers whole at the same time i have another song plying on front house speakrs?? u know what i mean..like i can hear and look for my next songs before the next songs ends but doing this that only i can hear it on my headphne.. thank you
@DJDrunkenBeat my soundcard cost me $30 last year and it works as good as highend souncard. dont know where you get your info but you're half right. check my video and see my UCA202 card in a timecode setup.
@louiethepious You could use any soundcard as those are just midi controllers, they don't create audio. They simple control and trigger audio on your computer/hardware.
@beastmofo505 i figured it out no cause it has two out puts and one imput so it would never work even with two its made for midi controlers soo you can go with the maya 44 or audio 4 from native instruments :)
@xXSYCADELICXx its made for midi controlers but if your going for a timecode setup you should really get something stable like tractor duo or pro or serato scratch live
maya44....I can use this to record a podcast or a mix (bedroom amateur stuff only, not live mixes) with headphones AND a mic....or is there no way of gettin' a mic in there? what about the djio? enough ins/outputs to cover recording the mix, hphones & mic with a vci100 & traktor pro? or do i just have to punch way past the $200clicks to achieve all this..cheers
Ean, Which one of these sound cards do you prefer on using with the VCI 100?
I'm deciding in buying this midi controller but I am still confused whether these cards will work or not considering you will probably need two usb ports.
Does anybody know if the nio 2/4 has "stereo mix" / "record what you can hear"?
I recently bought a m-audio fast track pro card and was devasted when i couldnt find the stereo mix option and could not use shoutcast which is why i bought it
Hey Ean i watch all your stuff for great tips in traktor. i posted that video response on the other vid but i moved it over to here considering its for the more $BUDGET conscience. I would like to see some EFFECT shortcuts i could implement. like "one knob" to control the 3 or 4 knobs on one effect considering im still using 3.3. i know the "effect" should relatively change with the "amount" but if you have pre edited shortcuts for good "fx stepping" (1/8 1/2 1/1 3/2 4/1) that would be awesome
Hey Ean or anyone out there. I found about the M Audio Fast Track (not pro). It is cheaper. But is it compatible with the Vestax vci100? And is its sound ok?
Hey does anyone else have problems with the Numark DJ IO? After about a week of use, the sounds become choppy and eventually completely stop...Any suggestions on what do buy? I use it on Ableton and no, nothing is wrong with Ableton or my Mac or speakers...I've double checked everything.
ive hooked up my nio 2/4 to my laptop, installed the drivers and since i dont have studio monitors ive hooked up my output 1+2 to the AUX inputs on my stereo. Now im getting this annoying buzz, and the volume is next to nothing. when i turn up my speakers the buzz increases heaps. what do i need to do to get rid of the buzz and put some more volume into my speakers?
whoops sorry everyone i found the problem: shit RCA cords! so if you get a shitty buzzing noise comming from your speakers upon connecting your interface to ur speakers, test out another pair of RCA cords first. i was using an old set of RCAs i had lying around and i guess they just had it.
I was thinking about taking the MAYA 44 or the DJ IO for my vestax vci-100...but the thing that i don't know is HOW TO PLUG THE TURNTABLE TO THE SOUND CARD? is it like a usb-rca cable that i use or something else?
hi...i have a notebook and I'm planning to use Ableton to djing...should be audiobox usb a good choice...it will I be able to do pre hearing...sorry for terms...
For a laptop, get a PCMCIA (internal) sound card with 5.1 (or three stereo channel) output. I use a Creative PCMCIA sound card for my laptop with 5.1 out and single line digital in and out. It's easily the best sound card for a laptop, and it comes with loads of software (including a vinyl recording and clean up software which is useful for DJs).
just get audio 2 dj . i dont use traktor but it works on virtual dj and i use it on dah radio
