Just because it's not in the bible doesn't mean it can't be done. AIDS didn't exsist in the Bible, but people are still healed from it today. The true and genuine anointing of the Holy Ghost is not going to enact physical violence against people. "washing her with water through the Word". It doesn't sound like hitting, kicking, etc. I hope that this doesn't come off as condescending, but I don't think that using Eph 5 to justify Todd's violence quite works.

all the best to you too. my point is that one way to perform a miracle is to obey the voice of God or a vision from God and act on it immediately otherwise you miss it. I cannot comment on what God has told Bentley because I can't see inside his head, but however odd the actions might be I remind myself that Jesus put spit on a mans tongue, spat in dirt, made clay and put it on a mans eyes etc. I have seen the knee thing but he doesn't make contact. The power hits him and he recoils from that.

you are correct, the bible says don't hit or strike someone, well elders shouldn't but same thing. this isn't biblical but the principle is correct and we all miss it sometimes. i think if Bentley thought about that particular issue he would consider adjusting his stand a bit but don't judge his whole ministry on one or two things. none of us are perfect, i think we have all taken the bible too far in a wrong direction once or twice but are still born again and children of God. don't judge.

Just to clarify-
You were accusing me of judging someone and telling me not to do it. You implied that I was judging his whole ministry.
So what I meant was that you were making judgment calls about how I was judging Bentley. It's good advice not to judge. Thanks. I just thought it was kind of funny that I was being sort of "judged" in that I was accused of "judging his whole ministry" by you.
It's not a big deal. I thought it was kinda funny.

well if i was making judgmental assumptions about your opinions i wouldn't count it as the same thing i assumed you thought the same as people who put these videos up who use names like lying spirit, false prophet, false healer, antichrist and words like apostacy. peoples focus would be better spent posting videos they agree with not have a problem with, and its confusing and distracting for new and prospective christians. & if people are wrong there are consequences to insulting the Holy Spirit

sometimes you have to do what God says there and then for the power of God to come and the word to work man, its not impatience the holy spirit or an angel saying do it now, that's the way these things work sometimes dude. if i don't run for a bus when i see it i'll miss it and have to get the next one. i'm not impatient, i just want to get where i'm going.
Plus God does heal people. Jesus put his spit on a dumb man's tongue and as a result, he could speak. same thing.

he exposed people who claimed to be spiritualists, socerers and witches, people who said they could communicate with the dead perform telepathy etc. Bentley might not get everything right all the time, but he believes in Jesus, the gospel, obeying the bible, doing the will of God etc. witchcraft and sorcery are sins and of the devil. he is well aware of this and believes in the power of the Holy Spirit you will find if you listen to him enough/properly and don't take things out of context.

Exactly and that is exactly what Bentley is a witch and spiritualist who talks to dead people, and is demon possessed and that is by his own admission. Todd's god is not the God of the Bible. Todd's Jesus, is not the Jesus of the Bible. You can slap a Jesus label on a pile of dirt but that doesn't make it Jesus, and that is what Todd has done. He is evil! Period

I think he would disagree with you if you spoke to him about that. I have heard him talk quite passionately about Jesus, the gospel, the cross. Witches aren't interested in the Spirit, the Water, and the Blood, and people seriously into sorcery avoid it. His agenda is to see people set free by the power of God. That is what he has been ministering for 15 years. Forgiveness, deliverance, healing and freedom through Jesus and the gospel.

There's 2 reasons you don't hear anyone cry "Heresy". 1) Most who believe that these kinds of healings are false and misleading, usually haven't even heard of Todd Bentley. 2) If anyone who has heard of him cries ANYTHING false, well, that video isn't going to be circulated as widely as the "proof" is thrown out there. For those who fall in between the 2...you're right, they're are lukewarm and/or deluded. Personally, I'm tired of watching him "heal" when in reality, all he does is dissapoint.

If it isn't bad enough to utilize any form of violence against a woman,there is a hint of pleasure and pride every time he hits someone or tells a story of smacking someone around.I am not a doctor,but borderline sadism seems to be occurring in the Lakeland Revival.
Repent Todd,it isn't too late.The earthly shame will pale in comparison to the Judgement to come.

(the first way to plant the thought of 'he's cooler than me, he jets around').. Funny, my stories usually start with "I was talking to a man or woman at the bus stop or on the train the other day..
