  • This movie is a masterpiece.

  • My favorite movie. Of all time.

  • Comment removed

  • the movie was great. the book even better. then i found out it was kurt cobain's favorite book. now it's unbeatable.

  • Professor Snape, we meet again.

  • in terms of story, this is THE worst movie ever published in the early 21st century. why does everyone worship that perverted grease haired git at the end? he murders virgins to ""extract their scent"" without any feelings, the movie would have been better if the ending shows him being smashed into pieces instead of a public fuck fest. so evil triumphs huh?

it basically depresses who watches it.

  • @dividednation44

What? So it's only a good story if it has a happy ending?

  • @dividednation44 you need to read the book. and watch the movie all the way to the end. grenouille was eaten alive by humans. just read the book and finish watching the movie, alright?

  • This movie is awesome and it definitely makes you think!!

  • @DVDSNutz: sorry to hear that! Haha. It looks like a creepy movie! Lol.

Even though I watched the trailer, what is this movie about? Is it worth watching?

  • soso komme aus münchen

  • I want the perfume set made by Thierry Mugler that he put out for this movie..

  • it's actually a good-ish movie.. if you get past the murdering and the creepiness and how disturbed the whole thing is o.O

  • cool übrigens hab was geiles gefunden habs bei mir stehn

  • Eaten by a bunch of people, that's how the film ends :O

  • the novel is AWESOME. i havent watched the movie yet but i bet it'll be just great.

  • fucken great movie i tell you what

  • The last 30 minutes of this film are REALLY weird!

  • geil ich bin deine schwester

  • Snaaaaaape!

  • before i had the chance to watch this movie i loaned it to my girlfriend's parents

    now they hate me forever

  • @DVDSNutz lmao :D

  • Wie heisst das lied im hintergrund am anfang des trailers??? danke;-)

  • Another brilliant movie!

  • my heart literally jumped in my chest when that baby grabbed the guy by his finger

  • Loved the dark humor in this film, like whenever he would move on from where he was at, something catastrophic would happen to that place (and people) right after he left. I would never have discovered this gem had it not been for my suggested movies through Netflix. Awsome movie. LOVED Dustin Hoffman in this.

  • Book was amazing, movie only compliments it. This is a book I will own and a movie I will re-watch.

  • I WANT THAT PERFUME!!!!!!!!!

  • very strange movie indeed. i've watch this for two times already. . this movie has a lot of symbolism..am afraid this movie is somehow demonic

.. nevertheless i still like this movie very much,

  • this is a very great movie

  • Experiment Experiment ? WITH THA CAT XD

  • it's a great movie, can only recommend it

  • i saw it today but i didn't caught the hole meaning of that...strange movie....i think the actor is great though....

  • Am I the only person who thinks Jean-Baptiste is actually kinda hot?

  • @Nahyacita I don't know but if he existed he wouldn't think of you the same he's rather make another ingredient of his parfume of you ;D

  • @Nahyacita I meant he'd no he's, sorry

  • john hurt the narrator..

  • and a light touch of decaying red head.... GOT IT! perfect :D lolz

  • anyone scared by the begginning of the trailer when he grabbed that finger?;d

  • @EnergeticVampiree LOL that freaked me out too haha

  • @EnergeticVampiree lol i thought he was going to bite it or something hahah

  • who does the narration in the beginning of the trailer, it's an amazing voice. he does some for like discover channel

  • Im seriously dont understand the ending of the movie, nor it's deep meaning >.< Anyone helps?? ^^

  • @annggu all he wanted was to learn how to capture scent and create a perfect perfume, since he did that he had no true reason to live anymore, his life long goal was complete so there was nothing else for him to do.

  • @theMaze71994 Oh, Thank You so Very much. I got it now ^^

  • professor snape??

  • i haven't watched it yet but it's not looking all that good. I've read the book and it's be hard to try and recreate gronoulle (can't spell :D)

  • @Dandoification I read the book first and thought the same thing...that it would be hard to depict such details...but this movie did a great job at visualizing the book, trust me. It's a good movie!

  • it appears to be redheads are a main ingredient

  • at 1:56:11 in this movie I went through what us Americans call a "What The Fuck" moment and that has got to be the biggest orgy in any movie 10/10

  • it was an amazing movie !!! i loved it, it was very moving, i would give it 9.8 out of 10, only because it had a shit ending, that is the only thing that ruined the movie

  • @khathejaa the book is not that great!hope move is gonna be amazin as u said)

  • @khathejaa Yeah, it was quite delicate and intricately told throughout, and then at the end it was almost like they said "it's getting a bit long now, lets just try and end it quickly". I mean, I completely didn't get when the ate grenouille at the end.

  • @madpinoy5683- looks good @8Dunkaroos- V.doubtful! you've not checked out the Quadrophenia n Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush soundtracks.

  • It was a wonderful movie. It could've had a better ending though, but they were going off the book so I can't blame some of the critics for giving it mixed reviews.

  • Alors on danse

  • The movie has one of the best soundtracks ever. Every piece of music is classic.

  • OMG! SNAPE!!!

  • im readin the book right now, as soon as i finish it gonna watch it(

  • Increíble

  • I can't yet say if this movie is good or not but the trailer is really well done. Sheesh. Tingles.

  • the best movie (:

  • I felt sick after watching this movie. It was a really good one, but there were so much nasty things in there like maggots and vomit

  • @xRedheadgirl i agree.i mean a baby born in a disgusting filthy fish market..really gross.great movie though..

  • Gosh

I was wondering does avon's perfume is in everyone's list

since original faraway is damn the best perfume ever baught and in deed its the so called unisex perfume....

it has this not so overpowering scent of coconut and cinnamon plus jasmine and bit of vanilla..

and i do like chris adams active woman.. it was a WOW perfume ever with such longevity..

  • worm stones, wotah, frogs

  • the ending, a mass orgy?...great film, crap ending

  • The movie is interestting, but Alan Rickman is just :)

  • Comment removed

  • i ve sceen it and i really sort of have mixed views upon it.

  • that guys got fucking problems

  • cooles video könnte so geil sein wenn ich jemand lieben finden würde

  • all i can say is...this is one fucked up movie.

what the hell was the person thinking when he wrote this story ?

  • @Moonsamy2 What was Thomas Harris thinking when he wrote "Silence of the Lambs", a novel about one man who eats people and another who skins women for their breasts? It was likely along the lines of "Hey, I bet I can make serious money writing this!"

  • @Moonsamy2 oh he was taking crack when i he wrote it...really

  • Watching The Perfume makes me think that the world is full of wonder. Europians can be proud of this movie.

  • incredible movie

  • an unusual concept... is this any good?

  • @onlyfathskie Yeah , its pretty good.

  • that movie is so amezing!!!!

  • the ending sucks dick

  • R.I.P. Eichinger, this movie sucks though...

  • rest in the heaven you dreamt of

  • tribute to Bernd Eichinger (Constanin Films) who died unexpected today in L.A. at the age of 61 by heart attack... tks for all the great movies (The Never ending story, The name of the Rose etc. ...). May he rest in peace....

  • LIEBE LIEBE LIEBE ES

  • it scared the shit out of me, when the baby grab the finger to stick it in his nose.. LOL

  • i've just finished watching it on cable and its kinda disturbing but memorable~ love the girl

  • WOW I WANNA SEE IT :D

  • @SeverusFreakingSnape All because of your freaking Allan Rickman

  • @darkprincesskatia AHAHAHA. >:D Saw it. Loved it.

  • WHAT ITS THE SOUNDRACK OR BEAT AT 1:35 PLEAAAAASE???!!!!!????

  • whats the song on 1:35 ?

  • Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, born in the stench of eighteenth century Paris, develops a superior olfactory sense, which he uses to create the world's finest perfumes. His work, however, takes a dark turn as he tries to preserve scents in the search for the ultimate perfume.... woww damn love this movie

  • great movie

  • I think they shouldnt show the daughters face or maybe could make use of cgi. It obviously wasnt Rachel Hurd Wood.

  • WOW I SAW IT THREE TIMES!! its a bit scary but its perfect..i want to see it again!..

after watcing i taked a bath dont ask me why))

  • Wow! I want to watch this movie!

  • The single greatest movie of all time.

  • heres what i dont understand....wouldnt the women back then smelt like shit? i mean thats y perfume was created in france to hide the smell. How wud that make the perfect perfume?

  • @STINKYxCHEEZMAN It´s about the bodys smell itself. The one, everybody posesses and that regulates, wheter we like somebody or not, but you don´t really smell it. Grenouille has the "power" to smell this itself. He combines with his perfect nose these beautiful smells and together they create this incredible perfume, just to human, which noone can resist.

  • @winglessangel90 Chill out dude it was a joke. Referencing how nobody took care of themselves back then.

  • @STINKYxCHEEZMAN According to the book, Grenouille thought that most humans had nasty odors, on the whole. Chapter 8: Normally human odor was nothing special, or it was ghastly. Children smelled insipid, men urinous, all sour sweat and cheese, women smelled of rancid fat and rotting fish.

  • @QueenBoadicea can you,or anyone tell me how the book ended?

  • @punkdpoison Depressed by his inability to get people to see him for who he really was, Grenouille returns to the fish market where he was born in Paris. He douses himself with his perfume and a band of the homeless, the criminal and the poor descend on him like locusts and devour him until nothing is left but scraps of cloth and bone.

  • @QueenBoadicea -Such a nice happy ending for a great family movie :-)

  • @punkdpoison Same as in the movie

  • it shitted the crap outta me when the baby grabs the finger with the help of a surprising sound. whew!

  • when u see movies like this u want a smell while watching it that would made it rly epic

  • A psychoticaly beautiful movie. Stunning and beautiful.

  • i hate when a trailer ruins a movie

  • omg! rachel hurd wood have changed alot..... but her best role was on peter pan! GO JEREMY AND RACHEL! AHHHHH!

  • just finished the book and i seriously couldn't say liked the story but the movie actually looks interesting, can't wait to watch it, did anybody else read the book and not liked it?

  • @drunkballerina89 Not me, I loved it. I liked the movie but didn't love it.

  • @drunkballerina89 I read the original german version and absolutely loved it. Thought it was way better than the movie, which I liked as well. But I have no idea if the english version of it is any good...

  • Haha I love it when the baby grabs that boy's finger and smells it.

I love this movie, don't listen to what the critics say. It may seem disturbing but there are so many other elements that anybody can enjoy it.

  • BEST MOVIE EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • i saw this a few days ago and its officially my favorite movie

  • can somebody explain to me, what is so fascinating about such a violent and pervese film (sry if my english is bad)

  • @KorschenL is ging ja viel mehr um die Person als um seine morde. erst zum ende des Films geht es um seine morde der Film ist genialo schau ihn einfach vlt. gefält er dir dann

  • @KorschenL Because it's disgusting and perverse. It's a terribly dark story, but one of obsession and a world which likely we've given little thought, despite its ubiquity. It draws you into Jean-Baptiste's life. A little, I imagine, like the perfume he would make - mysterious and unknowable, but intoxicating all the same.

  • @Yuanchosaan

but still, isn't the content morally reprehensible???? I think the success of this novel just shows the mental constitution of many people...

  • @KorschenL Certainly, but the majority of us are able to separate fact from fiction. Many works contain murder, theft, rape, treachery etc, but it's unlikely the reader or viewer would condone these in real life! The fact that the work offends one's morals has little to do with how good it is.

  • @Yuanchosaan

So when the fact, how much the work offends one's morals, has little to do with how good it is, how do you than determine that it's good?? Because I think that the book is written bad and the story is just "beep" with little sence in it!...I haven't saw the film yet.

  • @KorschenL Personally, I enjoyed it. I thought it brilliantly explored the realm of smell, which I would otherwise have deemed impossible with language. It had an interesting storyline that drew me in, I liked the descriptions of perfume-making, the reconstruction of an old Paris with details that are often lacking in modern works set in that era, and I found the ending passable, if a but overdone. There's a kind of wry humour to the disasters that haunt him. You may have felt differently.

  • @Yuanchosaan

No no, you're right about the positive aspects of the book. But I still think that the success of this book is caused by the fact, that most people have read it because of the unmorally content in it. ..."The Story of a Murderer"...Do you think that, if the writer had omitted the unmorally things, it would be a bestseller? I've read it in the original language and my opinion is that it's boring and that the story is evident. Well, it's just my opinion.

  • anyone know about a movie that has same storyline like this ?

  • Damn.. When i watched this movie i felt so weird.. it kinda reminds me of the song Stairway to Heaven... GGRrrrrrrrr

  • at 2:05 is that snape from harry potter

  • i just saw the movie......I AM GOING CRAZY...its beyond the imagination

  • Just watched in the night and loved it!!! truly a fantastic movie but the end was quite disturbing to me... anybody would like to explain why he finished himself like that???

  • Comment removed

  • @laeccc thanx a lot

  • @nafeesbewafa Because he realized he himself has no scent and his main drive in life was lost.

  • @livingvampyre666 did you smelt my fart ?

  • @880User088 oh, i thought i smelled tuna

  • @livingvampyre666

    so you´re just admitting your a freak ? :D

  • this trailer is kinda off leading...it makes it look like a criminal movie (like a really gross and disturbing one) when this movie is romance at it`s darkest meanings... a true masterpiece....it turns upside down your moral values and makes you love him (trying not to be a spoiler)

the feelings, the emotion, the perfume......

  • This movie is "Beautiful", this trailers has tons of spoilers, if you havent seen this , you dont know the meaning of "Beauty".

  • Love the book, love this movie, the best modern Frankenstein, much better than Moon. The movie itself is like a Frankenstein too, which makes it even better - the parts that made some amateur critics dislike it are exactly the parts that made it interesting.

  • one of the greatest movies ever made...if you haven't seen it...you have to!!

  • cooles video hey ho bin so einsam jemand Bedarf zum chatten oder so

  • Beautifully crafted. A surreal masterpiece. What a work of art. I'm amazed . Great climax... nice characters and the story is the ultimate knock out!

  • its great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This trailer kicks asses!!!

  • i saw this movie yesterday with my boyfriend. i didn't want him to die..:(

  • I've read the book (awsome) and loved the movie, the only thing was that Grenouille was portrayed as really gross and ugly, was kinda surprised xp

  • This movie is such an interesting movie! the concept is amazing and plot is so imaginative. the ending was such an unexpectative twist that I was completly appaled at what was going on infront of me. a great movie to watch with friends. or alone.

  • my ALL TIME favorite movie. just LOVE it
