  • The reason that FCPX is begin hated on is because of two main things.

    1) The product will continue to grow as time passes. Remember, pure editing in the timeline, IS much easier in FCPX. This is a good sign. Apple have confirmed that they will continue to add these missing features ( XML, multi cam etc)

    2) Retraining remains the only problem really. And to those who don't like the interface because it resembles iMovie, get a grip on your ego!

  • Final Cut X fucking sucks. AVID AND PREMIERE baby!

  • I wish all you pro or alleged pro editors would STFU and wait until this thing is completed. It is being rebuilt from the ground up, and we will need to wait until the upgrades are finished

Let Apple run their company and you guys stick to "7" for the time being

    We may yet be surprised

  • I wish rent a crowd would STFU

  • If you are a professional editor or want to be this program is a piece of garbage and can not be used in the real world. It will not output any professional broadcast grade video. This program is now for your grandma's slide show or YouTube/Facebook/iPhone hacks to make videos of their drunk friends setting their pubes on fire. Its funny how he talks about people cutting full feature movies and television shows on FCP it will soon be they were cutting on FCP. All pro editors qill leave FCPX.

  • @IamYucky it's not finished yet. It still has upgrades to come. They said that. How can you judge what isn't completed?

  • @alanbstard4

They have stated it will never accept old version of FCP projects but you can import all of the iMovies you want. I dont know what your background is in terms of editing but I am assuming you are not a professional editor or derive your main income from editing if you did you would agree that this release is a slap in the face. Why release a half finished product with such fanfare? Why is every editor and FCP user group saying that this program can not be used in the pro world?

  • @IamYucky I own a production company, a small one that uses FCP & CS5. Also, I understand what the developer has to go through to advance things for the better

You know the old saying " to make an omelette you have to break eggs ". It's a little inconvenient I know, but we all must recognize this is a new rebuild from the ground up. Apple more than anyone does not want to lose business, but, they take the risks thinking people will return to a fine product they produce

  • I am not trying to be a jerk I am just saying those of us that depend on the level of quality and flexibility of FCP are now incredibly put out by a program that will not open old projects will not play professional level video, or accept por grade audio files. I love FCP but this release and what I have read about the future plans for it are very discouraging.

  • @IamYucky well, you see, Apple themselves have been put out by it. Apple understands to advance something for the good of all ( we hope ) then they have to change and upgrade, and that will put people out. I just wish people would wait until all upgrades are met. This is new from the ground up..totally

You know, I reckon that DLSR users are going to love this

You will need to stick with & until the upgrades are made

  • wow.. I guess Its time to switch back to Avid

  • WTF is this? is this a joke?

  • 1:28 DV!

  • @mattgellison Evidently some people still love it (curiously!)...
