Nowadays it's all about looking the part. You have to be skinny and handsome and willing to sing any ridiculous thing with stage directions that make no sense in a production that is insane- setting Manon Lescaut on the moon. Plus, conductors have no idea how to give a singer room to do their thing!
Lettura esemplare di una grande pagina, in realtà sono ammutolito dall'interpretazione, ma voglio esternare tutta la mia ammirazione per questo grande artista. Ecco un uomo che si può chiamare Maestro.
Since Puccini died in 1924, it is not impossible that this singer worked with composer or was - in some way - influenced by him (directly or indirectly). Young artists should never underestimate the importance of true 'lineage' (disciple-ship) in mastering their art.
My God, this man is ABSOLUTELY "UNICO" !!! I deeply regret living in this era instead of being in 1930. That was the time where all the tenors were clearly defines as GREAT when they were able to sing without modern gimmicks ( fixing notes thru the sound control boards ) or anything of that sort. Just a great voice with a lot of passion. Can anyone sing like this guy nowadays ?? Hello ? Are you there, fellows ?
But don't try to sing like him...sing as yourself, and grow from THAT. No matter what you think of your voice, it would be worse for us not to hear what you truly sound like! We want to hear YOU!
sublime, potrei ascoltarla e riascoltarla, sempre conlo stesso effetto. PELLE D'OCA
