  • Why the last guy got smacked in the face at the end... lol

  • Poor Some Dude...

  • 1:41 f-ing hilarious! You should check out my review of yesterday's enterprise watch?v=6P7S_hUlRpQ&list=UU955L8TGwzXhVvg0r3_1jmw&index=1&feature=plcp

  • Had not seen this before. You did a terrific job. Have been a TOS Trekkie since the start. Will look for you on the credits of the next movie!

  • Huckbone, you did a BETTER JOB than the creators of the original! I'm VERY serious! You should be doing this for a living, as your skills are definitely superior to anything Paramount® ever did! Excellent accomplishment!

  • @ScorpioMensan1 Thanks my friend. And yes, ironically, I do edit for a living, so maybe Paramount will take notice and beam me aboard for JJ's sequel. :)

  • Chechov is a gorgeous man! I've never noticed...

  • ...and "Some Dude" as "The disposable Red Shirt" - CLASSIC

  • Great job, man! Been a trekkie since the 70s and this is the most creative thing of this I ever saw! Love Scotty with the bottle lol kills me every time rofl. Thanks for including Yeoman Rand I always liked her haha. And yeah the Red Shirt dude thing was great too of course lol!

  • 19 Redshirts did not like the way this fan credit sequence ended.

  • some DUDE AS THE DISPOSABLE RED SHIRT! LOL HAHAHA ROFLMAO!!!

  • Really loved it. And the redshirt part made my day xD

  • The clip you used for Scotty...LOL!

  • @fawdown I'm glad you got that. A few people are like "why did you choose that weird shot of Scotty?" And I'm thinking..."Do you know Scotty?" Nothing sums our Scotsman up better than him hugging his bottle of "Green."

  • Nicely done, had kind of a Quinn Martin feel about it with the Stars pictures in the Star Fleet badge.

  • very good ..........great intro and exit

  • My friend, you did Star Trek a real justice! Too bad the creators didn't do it like this!! Well done!! "Live long and prosper"!!!

  • LOL@ Some Dude!!!

  • @omega311888 I laughed at that too.

  • Nice work. Very clever.

  • Neck snapping sound as the redshirt dies

  • LOL @ "Some Dude" on the end

  • Okay, that didn't come out right...

  • I like "some dude"... I wonder if he has a page on IMDB?

  • LOL loved the ending! The red shirts ALWAYS got killed-and they were starship security? lol

  • That was really cool. If only the DVD/BR could be redone with these.

  • GREAT JOB. LOVED THE ENDING

  • HOT DOG!!!

  • Hey huckbone,I like this one good job bro..u should show this to paramount....

  • LOL= At the end tag!!!! So true... the poor slob in the red shirt. He always got it, didn't he?

  • no pics for Gene Roddenberry?

  • I must say that I preffer this one to the origional. This one is classier. Good job!!

  • you done it again lol, nice one ha ha.

  • In my opinion, you've reimagined the Main Titles and End Credits BEAUTIFULLY! It's great to see the Original Series' other actors get the respect and recognition they so richly deserve! The end was a nice comedic touch that I didn't see coming. Thanks for the upload!

  • Gotta love the guys in the red shirts! Poor slobs!

  • I really like it. Most fan videos suck on you-tube, however this is very good.

  • "and Some Dude as The Disposable Red Shirt" = Epic WIN/ROFLMAO!!

  • Finally the Red Shirt Dude gets his due...

  • lol at 1:41

  • good effort but the videograms makes it look like a culombo style sit-com.

  • Though I admire your compositing and timely editing with the music, this is one of those cheesy intros that I am personally glad they never used.

I have wondered what it would have been like and after watching your version, I now know. Don't get me wrong, your video is a brilliant effort and I applaud you for it. (Especially with the red-shirt credit at the very end).

  • I think I like it better than the real intro...this one gives credit to the poor redshirts too!

  • Hey, wasn't Lt. Kyle a red shirt?

  • I was already teetering on the edge of my chair in LMAO, when winterweib finished me completely off & to the floor with, " OMG he's dead Jim!

  • This was custom made? It looks incredibly professional. My congratulations to you. It's an excellent montage, and the credit to "Some Dude" was appropriate and very amusing. :)

  • Good stuff.

  • Fab video - thanks for your reply - sorry - never heard of Star Wars ... ? What's that all about?

  • It's what George Lucas decided to do after he found success with American Graffiti starring Richard Dreyfuss and Harrison Ford (who later landed starring roles as the title character in the Indiana Jones trilogy and Han Solo in Star Wars-don't worry, I'll explain that later). The success of that film gave him leverage to pitch to studios the film he wanted to make: you guessed it, a sci-fi movie out of his love for Flash Gordon as a kid.

  • Here's the entire saga summarized: two men called Jedi, who can move shit with their minds and fight with blades of light, go to a planet to negotiate with amphibians to end a blockade. They rescue the royal house just as an invasion begins, land on a desert, find a boy, win his freedom in a race, teach him shit, he becomes evil, betrays them in the middle of a galactic civil war, joins the Chancellor, who was really evil, he declares himself Emporer, they build a battle station, his son...

  • ...blows it up, they build another one, his rebel friends blow it up, the end. Any questions?

  • love it but you should have included Eddie Paskey (Lt. Leslie).

  • redshirts: those poor, courageous, heroic, expendable souls willing to give it their all in order to bring success to those who outlast them (not that outlasting a redshirt in a star trek episode is anything to be proud of)

  • Good grief - I tell everybody: It is worth watching this TO THE END!!! That was the loudest laugh I head today.

  • Hi

I'm an old school Treker (or is it Trekie?) and I love this video.

    Thanks for posting!

Anyone with issues must be Romulans!!

  • Comment removed

  • I think either Treker or Trekie is correct, though Trekie is the more popular term. Not sure; not an expert by any means. Just an owner of some Star Trek VHS tapes (both the original series and the movies) Not gonna lie, prefer Star Wars, I was introduced to that first. Gotta appreciate Shatner and Nimoy though, oh and Deforest Kelly, James Doohan, Walter Koeing, and George Takei.

  • Final Cut Pro and Photoshop, I worked with those back in college.

  • I like when Scotty does that face

  • Love it! especially the Red Shirt guy... you have a lot of imagination!!

  • Fantastic!!!!!

  • thats great with the redshirt. There should be a different redshirt death person in each ep. Very good

  • Oh, oh my. The Red Shirt hate!

  • this is great....SOME DUDE WITH RED SHIRT!!!TOO COMICAL

  • I loved the ending "And some guy as disposable redshirt" ROFLMAO. But really this was great.

  • Good job

  • Better that the unbareablely cheesy theme song for Star Trek Enterprise.

  • "Very funny Scotty. Now beam my clothes down too."

  • Speaking as an original Star Trek fan (I'm 57) I think it's about time that someone gave official credit to tall the red shirts that bit the space dust over the years! Thanks for an original & very funny video!

  • Really cool what you did... WOW.

  • 15 wore the red uniform.

  • Too bad you couldnt put Mr. Leslie in.

  • LOOOOOOL @ 1:38 > > *snap* "hmuaa!"

  • Well done!!!

  • "And starring Some Dude as Disposable Red SHirt!" ROFLMAO! Very well done! Dug your video. Sweet!

  • @wlf12341 Wow. Someone has issues. If you hate these sort of things, there's a simple solution. Don't watch them. Jeez. Take a chill pill, potty mouth.

  • @wlf12341

    I think it's YOU who's the ass

  • @wlf12341 Go take your ritalyn

  • IDK, this is pretty good. I'd say this is just how the credits would have looked if Star Trek debuted today.

  • OMG, that was hilarious at the end! Great job.

  • That was great, I think i would have put Rielly in the end as well, but the Red Shirt gags was priceless!

  • The Scotty tag: Nailed it!! Even in TNG episode he was in he still had a thing for whiskey.

  • Nice, but the Scotty tag is a bit unflattering.

  • I liked this it tickled me with the style of opening and end credits.

  • Nichelle Nichols is the most Beautiful women ever. Her Breasts are large and Spectacular :)"

  • LMAO! I luved the last one

  • That ending made me laugh.

  • Most hilarious yet totally enjoyable. I liked how you picked the close-ups for each character. Scotty's credit made me laugh out loud. Totally.

  • some dude!!! lol lol lol lol

  • This is how the intro SHOULD have been!

  • @LordShadrach Actually, I would have loved to have Mr. Lesley also be in the intro!

He deserved more attentions than he generally got.

  • Don't you all love mr Shatners Way of Speaking? "SPACE!.. The Finale Front-Ear.

  • loved it! the some dude at the end was fab :)

  • love this!!!

  • I liked this, especially the ending :D

  • For all the special effects and computer graphics technology available for the second crew of Picard and Co., I feel they couldn't replicate the charisma of the original. Thanks for posting this one.

  • Which editing software d'you use? - Wyll.

  • Final Cut Pro and Photoshop for the MAC...the BEST!

  • @huckbone Cool, thanks. I use FCP and PS as well, just wanted to see if I needed to get any other editing software, or just learn more!

  • @lordvacious I am a Mac/FCP user too.

  • any chance I could convince Your Brilliance to do a similar intro for DS9 and Voyager??

  • I like the onld intro music better than today's newer version

  • @DakariKingMykan i know enterprise main theme both sucked and blowed

  • xd some dude

  • by far the best

  • "Some Dude". LOL! I like it!

  • that was incredable!!! well done. Shame you can't use the slingshot effect and go back in time and make that the original series opening. That would be awsome!

  • haha, And Some Dude, as the disposable red shirt. LOL

  • RIP Some Dude. :o)

    LMAO

  • Amazing what can be done with a 400 dollar computer that would have cost thousands and couldn't be done on tv due to budget/time restraints.

  • "Some Dude"!!!... ROTFLMAO!!!...

  • LMAO at Some Dude.....

  • Much better than the original.

  • EPIC... it was great enough that you had Chekov, he ALWAYS gets overlooked (and he's my favorite, no less, reminds me of me a lot) but no... you gave EVERYONE the credit they deserved!

    Chapel!

    RAND!

Lt. KYLE! (Wow... THAT is some serious love)

But most importantly... Some Dude FINALLY got the credit and recognition he deserves (unfortunately he couldn't enjoy it, the alien monster got him 10 minutes in, but still...)

  • @obiwanobiwan13 I don't get why people don't like Chekov. He's soo funny! (plus his hair is awesome.)

  • That's pretty good. I almost fell for it.

  • XD And some dude as the disposable red shirt.

  • Kinda like 'gunsmoke'

  • I bring a message to all hate what YouTube is becoming. I hate the new appearance of the viewing system, I hate the reorientation of the video selection, comments, and description system, and most importantly, I hate the new rating system. I will spread this message everywhere until the designers of YouTube will concede with my complaints and restore it all.

  • This is well done! I liked how the personality of each of the main characters was captured - i.e. Kirk looking in command, Spock looking analytical, McCoy holding a scanner. I especially enjoyed Some Dude; the show really would not have been the same without him.

  • not the original intro, but still good.

  • Why was the tea boy not credited?

  • I'm sure someone would have pointed out by now that Majel Barrett is the voice of "Computer" in later series (TNG?)

  • @TechNed

Woah... are you serious? I never even noticed!

  • @xNatALi3xz Haha!! Now you've got me 2nd-guessing myself! I'll admit that it's been years since I read Star Trek credits - I'm a little nerdy but I love Star trek so much, I'm proud that I read the credits! I'll just check ... Wow! On the Wiki it says she was the computer on the Original series, TNG, DS9, Voyager plus most of the movies! Nice one .. xNatALi3xz - I learnt something then! (She was also Ambassador Lwaxana Troi)

  • It's cool!!:)

  • duh i get it i am slow

  • don't remember this one what session

  • The best show to ever hit the tube.. Television that is.

  • Did they use an orange for the planet in this intro?

    Fruity planet :)

  • This is a wonmderful opening crddfit to amn who did this.

  • Damn it Carmichaelful I'm a doctor not a fruit salesman!

  • lol. there are only certain people who would think of something as random as that. myself being one.

  • The dude with the red shirt...OMG. He's dead, Jim! XD

  • XD "Some Dude"

  • Yeah that was fucking funny! i bout died laughing! Kudos to the dude that made this. i needed a damned good laugh!

  • i have the 1st season on blu ray and for some reason their isn't a Sopranos singing in the credits. does anyone know why?

  • @swampalex 2nd season has that voice.

  • @colezig37 thanks hey how come youtube doesn't give you the option to put videos in your favorites

  • Great ending to the final credits!!!

  • This is really weird -- I've watched ST all my life, and never thought this before, but go to 1:29 on this video and see if you don't think that Grace Lee Whitney looks like she could be a sister to Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe on "24"). They both have the same funny smile.

  • @Data1001 For one instant I absolutely see what you are saying.

  • some dude with the disposable red shirt??????hysterical

  • Think of that bit as a tribute to Ted Cassidy(RUK)....who snapped the red shirt 's neck like a twig...

  • Great idea putting the faces on. Well done. My only problem with it is that too much is going on the screen with the ship in the background. Use one or the other but not both. Other then that I love it.

  • disposable redshirt? lol! wkwkwk!!!

  • The red shirt at the end is the cherry on the top of this sundae (even though I don't like cherries). Well done!

  • lol to the red shirt dude at the end

  • Well done! Like that Mr. Kyle got credit.

  • we played this song in band this year

  • where is the bald-headed chick, Persis? i thought she was on this show.

  • @HaveFaithInU shes only in st the motion picture

  • Nope. She was only in Star Trek: The Motion Picture as the Detlan navigator Illia and the V'Ger Illia probe.

  • LOL Good one. didn't expect the hilarious ending

  • ROFL at the neck snap sound.

  • Some dude as the disposable red shirt!!! LMAO!!!! I LOVE It!!!

  • Lmao!! Some dude got his neck snapped like a twig...

  • Really well done, and I think it would have been accomplishable in the 1960s with the technology they had. Five stars for the typography alone!

  • That is well done and looks better than the official credits until one gets to the end when LOL!

  • Fantastic!

I also loved the disposable red shirt.

  • Love the 'disposable dude' part at the end. The sound effects is what won me over.

  • 完成度高いっすね ありがとう

  • yeah!! fantastic.. ! especially the end (disposible guy)

  • lolz poor disposable dude! great job!

  • LOL. Well done! I think your credits are better than the originals, even without the surprise at the end.

  • Here I am, at 2:20am, headphones on, watching this, thinking "Ok this is kinda cute"... and then the red shirt gets taken out, noise and all, and I nearly woke my family up laughing.

    Nicely executed.

  • Some Dude FTW

  • Nice! I love it! And thanks for giving credit to the disposable red shirt!

  • this intro is perfect :-)

  • Not Bad not bad at all, esp some dude in the red shirt lol.

  • OMG!! those poor red shirts!!

  • Loved the "red shirt" reference.

    Very imaginative.

    5 stars.

  • the best futuristic space series ever on telelvision!!!!

  • You know, Some Dude never got the credit he deserved. He really made that episode he was in...You know, the one where he died.
