@MustangGT147 Have you seen the second part of this? There is the original spanish version of this. In the second movie they explain something a little more into detail. In the remake version, this one, it didn't even anything at all in the end with the tape recorder. I'll just say this for the sake of spoilers, I only consider it zombies when they are infected with some kind of virus or disease.

can anyone help me remember the name of a movie ? it was about some people on a spaceship or something and an evil "infestation" killed the protagnists one by one.at the end a girl escapes (a girl with a book or something like that) she gets shot by "rescuers " or something like that and she turns evil but she doesn't die she is accepted as a host and she kills those guys who shot her and that is kind of what the movie ends ... if u know the name of the movie please reply

You can be diseased and still be a zombie. The T-Virus infection in Resident Evil is a disease that turns people into walking dead flesh-eaters, so a disease can turn people into a zombies. The zombies in Zombieland are diseased but they aren't actually walking dead people yet they are still called zombies. I consider this a zombie movie and I've seen it, they are diseased and zombieland zombie-like.

Sorry, yeah it is. A mutated stran of Rabies turns them into flesh-eaters. Now I know that the infected aren't the walking dead, but if the zombies in Zombieland can still be called zombies when they aren't really dead, than these can be called zombies.

@ZombieBiohazard Sorry, but they have a disease, they aren't zombies. Do yuo heard about the case of Menina de Medeiros. She had a canine virus and she transmicted to her mother. The [REC] movie is based on that. Don't you the room before the attic? It has a loft of notices about that case. I'm young but I've already seen [REC]. And the americans only stole the spanish criativity and originality. Quarantine is just like [REC]...

I'm pretty sure the Americans copied Rec as people are to ignorant to watch a spanish film with subtitles and want everything put on a plate for them. Rec is a hell of a lot better, and the whole 'spanish' makes it just a little bit scarier, as you have to watch it to see what people are saying.

Quarantine is a remake for dumb American audiences that need to be spoonfed everything seeing as how watching the original is too intellectual for them. I've seen what I could stand of Quarantine and strictly from an artistic point of view, it's as bleak as any other horror film Hollywood's put out recently. Excuse us for appreciating REC for being original and good.

28 days later is the most original "Zombie" movie in history. The idea that a rage virus has caused the mutation in people and that is causing them to kill. How ever, i think you are right, i think film makers and studios need to look in better directions and produce original films, instead of flimsy remakes and rehashed genres. I think independent film is the way forward, i have seen some films made independently and they are awesome, just look at REC.
