  • fire style fire ball jutsu

  • Dude, what do youDude, what are you using for the flame throw effect?

I know the proper cocktail you have to use Barcadi 151, but it's well expensive and I'm just trying to perfect the technique at the minute so am using Sambuca as a substitute, but I extinguish the flame every time! Does it ONLY work with really flammable stuff (such as the 151) or should it work with any flammable liquor and is it just a case of me getting the technique wrong?

  • @STUBWFC Any alcohol will catch fire if a flame is on it long enough. HOWEVER, you don't have time when doing that trick. I tried doing it with 100-proof vodka and it isn't strong enough to immediately catch fire when a flame hits it. Bicardi 151 is the right alcohol for the drink but I absolutely hate rum. I use Everclear for mine because I can deal with it sitting in my mouth, it is legal in Maryland and because the 190 proof makes it catch fire immediately. It's almost impossible to fail

  • @STUBWFC Also, Everclear is expensive too but I don't need to use much in each shot glass (for those 8 and the half shot I put in my mouth/ fingers I probably use like 2-2.5 shots total if that). Long story short, yes you need high proof alcohol for the trick to work.

  • when you start the fire are you just spitting a mouthful of everclear?

  • are you just lining the shot glasses up so that there is a domino effect when you hit the first one?

  • @aquaphiliaque Yes. When I had them set up the glasses were too wide so the shots wouldn't fall cleanly in and would get stuck at the top; obviously this is dangerous. So I put the spoons on so that the shot glasses fall right down into the beer, extinguishing the flame.

  • I'm glad to finally see a person not light themselves on fire trying to do this.

  • @firebird98dude yeah i spent a lot of time practicing the steps so that it wouldn't happen. i also took added steps like the hat thats on backwards and low enough to completely cover my eyebrows so i don't lose those

  • That is freaking AWESOME.
