PAF has an experience of flying Mirrage,so we cant take risk to ground them with new JF 17s...Mirrages are the best fighter to counter indian Mig 21.....

they didn't A-5's were replaced by JF-17's next up non upgraded mirages will go then F-7P's

WE NEED BETTER AIRCRAFT WE CAN NOT RELY ON THE 3 AIR CRAFTS JF-17s, F-16s and FC-20s we need better air craft like @farzansaeed07 said some chinooks some raptors or else we dont stand a chance against india!

this is the best fleet possible my friend,while u and i can just comment here that we should induct gripens or EF-2000's but this is the best fleet which we can achieve becuz it standardizes nearly every thing,we have people with expertise on USA F-16's for over 30 years we have also maintained chinese equipment for over 30 years..these jet easy to maintain will launch a bigger sortie rate then IAF's scattered fleet of twin engined aircrafts which need to be maintained like crazy

u are aware that we have certain budget constraints!!! It's expensive to just induct new systems, there are many costs involved....Chinooks are logistics/transport choppers. Those apply to Army, not PAF. And Army has no plans to induct Chinooks; hopefully China would come out with a more cost-effective equivalent. We do need to in the long term aim to start manufacturing our own helicopters (combat and civilian) if we can do JF Thunders and with training, time and R&D it can happen

Mirage ROSE project served its purpose during 90s and 2000s. Its time to phase it out with something better, probably J-10 should form the front line of attack planes following by JF-17 as F-7, A-5 replacement.

We WANT Chinook Heli's and at least 36 F-35 and 18 F-22 Raptors till 2015! India is buying 350 Stealth Fighters! But China had already made J-20 Hurrah!

hhahaha we dont want flop jets like Raptor....

At the most we will get J-20 which is still a decade away and dont think for 1 sec that IAF will operate stealth fighters before 2018
