  • Tornado was just plain cheap back in the day. Yes it had no weapon, but it couldnt be flipped, couldnt be pushed around, and had an annoying way of ignoring damage. Only way to beat it was to have an immense weapon like Razer, or to stick it in the pit.

  • @GoldenJokered In all fairness I'd rather watch Tornado than most of the flippers who only have an interest in making battles short and uninteresting by flipping them out of the arena.

  • Razer should fight Biohazard.

  • I'd like to see razer vs hypnodisk

  • Razer is a shitty boring crap ... always doing the same .... watch the fight Tornado won against Razer!! :-)

    fantastic!

    Go home razer.....

  • @DasKindwarimBrunnen they even said razer won

  • @Fireball2999 razers better to

  • @Fireball2999 I mean another fight.

    There Tornado won.

    So tornado is better ;-)

Razer is boring sh!t. Always doing the same

  • @DasKindwarimBrunnen razor may only do one thing, but its an extremly efficiant robot, and u cant go wrong with that, the thing won 3 championships out of the 5

  • @Fireball2999 with the same boring thing ... ;-P

  • @DasKindwarimBrunnen Ah

But did Razer 'cheat'? Putting a massive frame around them?

    No.

  • @dalekrevenge Tornade didtn cheat aswell ... ;-)

  • Razor was the coolest looking Bot!

  • Razer was an awesome robot. But I liked tornado more.

  • BRING THIS SHOW BACK

  • BRING THIS SHOW BACK

  • @Nosensefornonsense

@Hyperawsome This show is too expensive to return. :(

  • Razer Sucks

  • @BenPurseOfGTM Yeah, it does look like Razer is sucking blood from the bots when it attacks.

  • Robot Wars and Robotica were my childhood (robot wars was my favorite)

  • I remember watching this show when I was like 5 years old with my dad. Gosh, I miss those days. Razer was so raw and was my favorite.

  • Don't they have like a washing machine hoisted into the air to fall and crush them

  • I could defeat him with my bot

  • razer is like a car crusher but made for bots

  • Ref bot could eat anything/

  • PAHHT BEAK, PAHHT BUURRDD, PAAAAHT REPTILE!

  • Tornado proved whos the best in the grand final ha!

  • Behold, the original Real Steel robots

  • shut up you mindless cunts!!! please let it die, STOP TAKING THIS SO FUCKING SERIOUSLY you act like this was real, as a roboteer i go and compete in many events and nothing is ever malicious, tornado found a way to win and did. you are actin like the tornado team actally fucked all the razer teams mothers just to put them off. here is some crisps have quiet time now

  • Seeing Tornado get destroyed is always enjoyable.

  • @karl100589 lol :D

  • is this show still on

  • razor pwns

  • Watching this reminds me of the time I went to a small robot wars exhibition near a place called ironbridge in the UK. Tornado were there as well as Razer, chaos 2 and a few others. But the question that my ten year old self still asks is why the hell did you turn down the chance to drive Razer?????!!!!

  • Razer is like a fucking spider LOL slowly sinking its fang into it :D

  • Poor tornadow.

  • Tornado is a seriously high potential bot. Speed, power. If properly controlled. Could have probably won tornado.

  • this is how the series 6 final shouuld've gone who agree

  • robot wars is SERIOUSLY underrated. robot wars is amazing. i dont see why its so unpopular.

  • Razer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thisis what the series 6 final should've been like not that shitty web

  • Tornado's frame wasn't technically cheating against Razer, it was one of their interchangable weapons, but you have to admit that the whole point of it was to protect against crusher weapons.

It seems rather unsporting to change your robot so drastically to negate an opponent's advantage. Changing disc blades, flipper pressure etc. should be allowed, but not whole new weapons.

  • Tornado was a revolutionary robot. Cassius brought schriemechs and hypnodisc brought more destructive weaponary, Tornado made pushing power more important. The original design was very clever, rather than splitting the weight limit between weapons and drive why not use the same motors for both?

I think interchangable weaponary shouldn't have been allowed because the robots were much more characterful and the fights were more interesting to watch when the robots both had weaknesses.

  • Razer was my favorite robot. I am such a nerd!!

  • I would love see Razer get completely smashed up one day. That would be absolutely hilarious because i can't stand the team members of Razer.

  • @veronica9956 i can understand why you dont like them. sometimes they kind of look a bit manic while they are driving. but i just love that robot!

  • @veronica9956 To be fair, VB and SS once gave up one of their victories against tornado - fantastic sportsmanship. Only 1 other team ever did that, and others should have and didn't.

  • Part beak, part bird? I thought a beak was part of a bird...

  • I hate Tornado. They were the reason Robot Wars got cancelled. Unimaginative and boring robot.

  • @RonaldoFearsEboue And a cheat too.

  • I never liked the ref bots. I always thought it was ridiculous that they had no weight limits and weighed a ton each.

  • @blackovermind that's why it was that much more awesome when somebody destroyed one of them.

  • ref bot is my favourite

  • TITAN VS. TITAN

  • Razer was just the best robot ever. Simply unbeatable.

  • @Domzdream How come it got beat 6 times in RW then?

  • @HelloherExists

    Really? I had no idea.

    By whome?

  • @Domzdream Tornado twice, Pussycat twice, Aggrobot and The Inquisitor

  • @HelloherExists

Yea. I remember the tornado being a real badass. Such a simple robot yet so effective. By the way, I relished this show whenever it was aired. Relished it!

  • @HelloherExists Pfft, Razer just had an issue with the hydraulics in the Aggrobot match. Aggro lost its weapon and had a huge hole in the back.

  • @mrmootheirrev Razer still lost, that's what matters at the end of the day...

  • Tornado had that cage, now this is what I call REVENGE!!!

  • @KazDPK the taste of revenge is sweet

  • @ndingo If you need a stupid cage to get revenge on a better robot it's hardly sweet, more like a bitter, bland taste.

  • @KazDPK 'unfair' more like.

  • OMG, Raser was on display in town the other day!

  • go razor amazing robot, shes my fave!!! and so's sir k x]

  • Tornado abused !!!

  • Razer should be a houserobot

  • @gerardin30 im with u there

  • What's all this about americains and italians not being able to watch this?

Whoever said that is an ass!

I'm english and I love this programme and I want it back

Don't piss people off cuz you're adopted ok, buy a punchbag =)

  • razers one of the best ones there :D

  • Do they still have shows like this on tv? I wanna record em on directv.

  • y didn't razer put tornadeo in the fire wen he had him in his claws

  • @AntareslX then, all who don't like robot fights are iranian? I feel sorry for you, fagot. You must go back to the mental hospital, you fucking fascist...

  • razer rules

  • meanwhile in america....

  • Seriously, why arent bots like these on todays battlefield already !?

  • Razer was without doubt the best of all the robots ^_^

  • americans...

  • Just look how useless Tornado was without having that big metalframe around it.

  • @Nefus1988 don't hate

  • Andrew Marchant is a twat.

  • Leave it to brits to make me forget about battlebots. Ever since I saw this on BBC like ten years ago, BB was a thing of the past.

  • Razer owns!

  • I agree that was real cheap of the tornado crew to make that cage thing cause when razer got them in the pit it didn't fit -.- so so cheap

  • @NICKROCKSHARD15 Razor even got them over the pit aswell! Technically they should have lost IMO.

  • @NICKROCKSHARD15 tornado doing that proved how freaking desperate they were to win & proved they were the biggest bunch of cheats in robot wars

  • This is exactly why Tornado decided to build that stupid cage thingy in the series 6 final. They knew they couldn't defeat Razer the proper way so they decided to build that anti-razer rapetrain barrier to screw Razer out of the title. Razer proved here they could easily defeat Tornado. If they had won the 6th war then they may have been more likely to enter series 7. Shame really.

  • @Gavin17259 Theyb built it before Series 6, do your research.

Anyway, are you saying you wouldn't have done that in their shoes?

  • @HelloherExists I never said they didnt build it before series 6. I already knew that. If i was in their shoes i would not have done that because i would rather have lost fairly than win cheaply. It wouldn't have felt as good as winning it through skill alone.

  • Tornado was a strong contender and a powerful bot. But never had a chance against Razor.

  • bring it back

  • Razer pwns;D

  • Ziggo would make Razer his bot-bitch

  • RAZER!RAZER!RAZER!...

  • WANDERFOUL RAZER

  • @MsPARTENOPEO89 wee need new vids

  • why do they keep screaming pit ffs i hate the pit i wanna see razor destroy the other robots

  • @aydoooo o just go watch hypno-disc

  • @aydoooo In this one, they all yell 'Razor' until the end, when it's obviously where Tornado's going. But I agree. Other ones they yell pit and most people just wanna see Razor kill the other robots. :P

  • @aydoooo Yeah, way to steal my comment.

  • yer tornado its not so easy without your anti pit web thing is it!

  • Tornado is a bad design how did it even get to razor

  • allways love seeing tornado gettin beaten

  • @thedraken5 hell yeah dude me 2 ;D ^^

    RAZER FTW !!!!

  • If Tornado's big skirt cage made them too big to fit into the pit, why was it allowed?

  • @ChildOfTheWilderness Because the rule-makers were idiots.

  • @Jk6jack also, you'll find that razor are the biggest saw losers. pussycat beat razor and razor were such saw losers they called a vengeance match on pussycat. what happened...razor LOST... to PUSSYCAT... again!!!

  • @darkshredder95 It was Ian Lewis who took losses badly, Simon and Vinny were ok. I wouldn't judge the whole team based on the opinions of just one of its members. I don't think Pussycat was a better robot than Razer. I think they were, by chance, well suited to fight Razer. More robots have gotten the better of Pussycat than of Razer.

  • @Jk6jack you obviously haven't read the rule manual. there is nothing in there that says tornado (the greatest robot ever) cant put on a frame.

also, the primary function of the frame was to support the flywheel.

also, tornado WERE suspended in the pit but razor was too big a dumbass to let go. also, tornado have beaten chaos 2, hypno-disc, terrorhurtz even gravity. so dont even try saying tornado are bad. tornado took advantage of the fact that they could have an APD. that is not cheating

  • "Crumpling, and griiiinding!"

    Grinding????

  • razer should be a houser robt but then make it more bigger and stuff cause for that small size he killed the house robts that the claw can grab couldnt do that to Sir Killalot tryed to but he was too big

  • Razer is awesome, but so is Tornado. Tornado didn't break any rules by using the frame. Competitors have to present their robots to the judges before they are allowed to enter the arena, and the judges allowed Tornado to use the frame. So if anyone wants to complain, its the judges' faults. Tornado's creators are guilty of nothing but being cunning.

  • How did Tornado end up winning? Im Confused.

  • @YouAreHereification if you're talking about the series 6, they put a frame on the robot to stop razer from reaching the body (it also stopped tonado from going to the pit aswell). Most people say they cheated but really if they did i'm sure the producers or judges would havd disqualified them like the incident with pussycat in series 3

  • Fuck all the haters, Tornado is bad ass !!!

  • go razer

  • i think razer could have been a house robot he is mah favorite competetor bot

  • HOW do they make such powerful ROBOTS???

  • to all the fuckwits who are going, wah wah a box cheated by puting a steel cage around it beat razer, fuck tornado fuck fuck fuck, i say this if razer had done something like that to beat tornado you would be saying "hahah razer is so clever" who cares, in the pits and behind the sceenes it would be a good idea. as all people like the top 2 voted you just want to see razer beat up shit which would get realy repetetive.

fuck you fuck the lot of yous

  • @TheHazzabigun If Razer put on a frame like Tornado's, Razer's claw would be useless! It wouldn't reach anything, DUH!! And the people complaining about Tornado's frame have a sense of sporstmanship.

  • @ryhorn100 lol dint think that bit through. but it just realy pisses me off, its not like razer went home in a body bag and razer pretty much just fucked any other robot that got near it, it was good for em' =)

  • @TheHazzabigun I know that. And it is quite impressive that Razer was still mobile at the end of that fight when you look at all the mechanical breakdowns it's had in the past. But that doesn't change the fact that Tornado were being way too excessive with their "interchangeable weaponary".

  • @ryhorn100 don't be an idiot - it's not excessive - they just want to give themselves the best chance of victory

  • @HelloherExists They fucking modified their robot to guarantee victory! Modifying your robot to render your opponent's attack methods useless is being a pussy. The Tornado team knew they couldn't win fairly, so they fucked Razer over.

  • @ryhorn100 so whining and moaning about the fact that tornado were clever enough to build an anti-razor weapon is being a sportsman. just quit moaning, you are bad sportsmen and cant accept that a box with wheels beat your apparently 'indestructible machine'.

i soooo wish gravity would flip razor out the ring in 6 seconds like they did to those dantomkia boys.

wait a minute, yeah thats right. tornado beat gravity.

seriously, you razor fans are douchebags and sore loosers.

    razor fans a

  • @darkshredder95 Oh shut the fuck up darkshredder, you obviously don't know shit about sportsmanship! Would you think it was fair if I fought you in a judo match and I was wearing spikes all over me? No, you wouldn't. The people you see supporting Razer are not fanboys. They're people who understand that Tornado were so weak that they had to take a lazy and pathetic way to guarantee victory. And I never said Razer was indestructible. The team just deserved better than what happened in Series 6.

  • how about razer vs. a housebot? a fair match i think

  • @itube141 There was a match where Razer constantly went for Matilda, it ended up as the House Robots vs Razer and it was an equal fight xD

  • @Holmesy87 oh yeah i remember that round it was so fucking awesome...

    razer is the best

  • DX tornado is my fav

  • @fart935 - Just kept on pouring. Nice. Haha.

  • tornado was shit cos it wasnt a robot it was a car , and that big bird and nerd drivers was cheaters puttin that frame on, Tornado ruined robot wars, i never watched it again after them cheating nob ends of tornado ................shame on you big bird and nerd lol

  • I remember growing up and watching this and I always thought Razer was the best ever!!!

  • and people say the brits are boring

ps. 9 out of 11 americans wont get this joke

  • Comment removed

  • You are the idiot who doesn't think straight. Razer was nowhere near the best robot ever. How many class acts did it really defeat? Nowhere as many as you will point out. Gravity, Wheely Big Cheese, Storm 2, Hypno Disc, Pussycat are just some of the bots perfectly capable of beating your precious bot. Plenty of bots took on the house bots, much more succesfully than Razer. Don't start about Matilda, because it was rigged. Like almost all of Razer's battles.

    Also, explain how it cheated.

  • @HelloherExists someone is getting bitchy

  • I think that this just proves that razor would utterly thrash tornado in a fair fight. And for all those people who say that tornado wasn't cheating by using a frame - I'm pretty sure there's a rule saying you can't modify you're robot just for one battle to exploit the weaknesses in the robot you're about to fight.

  • @DomuDude Um they wernt cheating, Tornado was able to use the frame to support there blade. Remember Tornado has interchangable weaponry. They just picked another weapon that they had. Theres no rule against that, and if the judges didnt see it was cheating, then its not. No bot is undefeatable, It was a great match and Tornado just won.

  • @DomuDude Ever heard of interchangeable weapons? Or is that basic rule beyond you?

  • razer=Chuck Norris' toy

  • razer is a muthafucking legendary robot. to me its the best robot. i loved this series and i loved techtv.

  • this was the only time in robot wars that tornado was counted out by the refbot by the refbot

  • After watching this it's no wonder they fucking cheated in the Season 6 Finale!

  • They didn't cheat.

Nothing anyone has said do not make them cheaters.

The frame was perfectly legal. In the rules. It was not cowardly, it was clever. If you notice, Tornado's stats in S6 were with the frame on. Therefore, they didn't add anything.

Anyone who says tornado cheated, is a) A Razer fanboy who can't accept that Razer lost. b) Someone who fails to comprehend that Razer was NOWHERE as good as everyone makes it out to be and c) An idiot who can't understand common sense and logic

  • @HelloherExists Listen buddy, if you are fighting an enemy and then it makes some big fuck-off frame that makes it impossible for them to be damaged by your weapon, then that's cheating. That's why that sort of 'weapon' involving masses of defensive scaffolding was banned for the Seventh Wars.

  • @MrBlack1968 Firstly, it was completely legal, so it couldn't be cheating.

By your logic, all armour is completely illegal and robots should have gone in with totally exposed electronics.

  • @HelloherExists Sorry mate but you're talking complete rubbish. Armour isn't Illegal because armour is an original part of the robot, that poxy frame wasn't. Plus it was built for the express purpose of fighting just one robot. It was completely unfair to have a rule that allowed such a drastic modification to a robot. Further more, the rules state that "defensive additions" are illegal so why wasn't Tornado's frame regarded as that?

  • @wilkoman3

because it wasnt a defensive weapon it had a big spinning blade at the front

  • @hivetyrantdleklas No sorry mate. That whole frame wasn't needed to support a weapon on the front, it's obvious what it was really intended to do. I think they found a loophole in the rules, simply by putting a weapon on your illegal defensive addition and you will be allowed to use it. Very cheap.

If the they had a problem beaing Razer they should've built a better robot!

  • @wilkoman3 first of all jonathan pearce himself said that frame was necessary to support that blade. sure it was a loophole but the fact that their was one means that it was fair to use. also why build a better robot? robots are expensive to build and why build one to beat one robot when they have a perfectly good robot in which one cheaper addition would be enough to do the task

sure its cheap but its still fair

  • @hivetyrantdleklas Jonathan Pearce makes commentary errors all the time. True a new robot wouild've taken time and money but they would've in a majority of fans eyes kept their respect but I suppose winning at all costs came first. If the producers (who are the real rule makers) had not alowed the frame, I dare say the next year they may have felt compelled to build a new machine or at least a fair and less drastic modification.

  • @wilkoman3 Explain how it's unfair. Are interchangeable weapons illegal in your view?

  • @HelloherExists It's unfair because they shouldn't have been allowed to make such a drastic change to their robot, a like must be drawn to how far you can modify a robot. Also the I stick by me original statement that the frame should've been considered as a defensive addition and simply mounting a weapon at the front should'nt change that. Try and put yourself in the Razer teams place and tell me you wouldn't be annoyed.

  • @wilkoman3 First, you didn't answer my question. Secondly, the Razer team were fine by it, because everybody had KNOWN ABOUT THE FRAME FROM THE START and was classed as legal by everyone. Say Tornado had faced Tiberius or Ming 3. Do you think they would have used the frame then? I do. Would anybody have cared? No. It's only because your precious Razer was the one that was beaten that you care at all.

  • @HelloherExists Yes I did.

I don't think interchangable weapons (in principle) are unfair, (but) there should be a limit to how far you can modify a robot.

Just because a weapon is mounted on a "defensive addition" that doesn't mean it should no longer by classed as that.

NO THEY DIDN'T KNOW!, on the build up for the final match, Andrew Marchant clearly says "we may have a little surprise for them" Tiberius and Mings weapons weren't near as powerful as Razer's so no they wouldn't.

  • It doesn't matter about your opinion. It was the producer's opinion. They said it was a weapon and not a defensive addition.

And Razer did know about it. Ever heard of a joke? Tornado had to declare ALL interchangeable weapons before the start of the series (When the anti-spinner addon was not allowed). They couldn't keep the frame a secret from the Razer team.

Also, 'Anti-Crusher'. Not 'Anti-Razer'. Sure, Razer was why they built it, but they wouldn't have just used it against that bot.

  • @HelloherExists There should be a time when opinion stops and right and wrong starts don't you. Even if they did now about it, look at the poor counter they had. They clearly didn't have much warning either way. Yes, if another robot came along with a powerful crusher like Razer's they would probably cower behind the frame again. Can't you see why ethically this is wrong? When producers are chasing viewing figures, controversy is a great way of doing that and fairness comes second.

  • @HelloherExists Hell, on top of that, the Razer team were infamous for having a nose at the opposition bot before the fight, checking possible weak points + so on, which made people quite irate. Still loved the bot, awesome design. It's vicious, ridged beak with wings which were pure style and those funky holes that the lights shone through all cool and groovy and hahaha...

  • @fullofroubles Just wondering, has any competitor ever held there own against Razer, and won?

  • @HelloherExists So now you think I'm biased lol. I'd care if it was any robot. I was very annoyed when I found out the producers had screwed Storm 2 out of the title, of which I'm not a fan by the way. I'd feel the same if it happened to any robot but yes you do feel it more if it happens to a be robot you like. That's human.

  • @wilkoman3 I'm not a fan of what happened there eiither. I will never back the producers. But this is irrelevant.

  • @HelloherExists The producers allowing Tornado the use the frame opened a can of worms here. Imagine if more and more robots were designed to have interchangable weaponry and they were allowed, like Tornado, to make a big change to suit a particular opponent. The outcomes of matches would've been much more determined by what you can stick on your robot instead of your robot winning on it's own merits. I think the whole idea of interchangable weaponry is risky as where do you draw the line?

  • @wilkoman3 I don't draw the line anywhere. If the weapons are legal and there are not any restrictions, I see no reason why you should insist on extra restictions just because your precio
