@pfuntner thats what you call a Menzi Muck that is made in Switzerland and is used in situations where a normal backhoe could not operate...cost betw.400 to 600 K some similar machies are manufactured und the same licence in the states and are called kaiser etc.

We use one of this during de Prestige oil spill, in the Spanish coast (Galicia). It was very usefull.

We use it in the beaches wich were full of rocks (rocks like soccer balls), with one of this and four caterpillars more, we extract more than 1000 tons of oil in one day.

It was awesome, but its very important a good operator,jeje.

Its a Menzi Muk Made in Switzerland i think, they are pecially designed for working in mountanous areas. kaiser are another brand that make a similar machine.

as far as i know, this one is a Menci Muck... they are famous for their system...

they are sold all over the world.

But you need an excellent operator, I don't mean a good one, I mean an really excellent one. Otherwhise the thing is thrashed faster than you can say "Menci Muck" =)

I don't think it's a vineyard, I think it's bank stabilisation for the road above. As water runs down they silt up and need to be cleaned off.
