Sorry, but I disagree. TA COULD have been good, but as it was, he was little more than average, especially if you take into account that he couldn't hang on to the ball. If he had worked at it he could have been an All-American.

And GT didn't beat us in that game, we beat ourselves.

And PhillyGarver, if you mean we had a great defense THAT year, I'm afraid not. in '05 yes. In fact if our defense in '02 had been as good as '05 we would have won out and gotten a BCS bowl and a MNC shot.

Correction...the defense I was referring to was not '05, although they were good too, but rather the '04 version that finished as the #1 ranked defense in the country.

And about the GT loss, don't forget we were leading that game 17-9 in the 4th qtr but Tech scored 15 unanswered points. At 24-17 we had 3 scoring chances but were stopped each time. Then we dropped close games on the road to UMd and UVa.

But we did salvage the year by beating FSU at home and then destroying ND in Jacksonville

If it's this decade then I might agree. It's been sporadic at best. However, ND at least has 3 BCS bowl appearances, all losses of course, but all NCST has done is sniff the prestigious tangerine bowl.
