  • @FilK79 The Concorde had a higher landing speed than most aircraft and thus had a harsher landing.

  • Great plane, I miss it. LAX to JFK took 6 hours on regular flights, 747 etc., but from JFK to Heathrow...just 3 . Brilliant. Could have done it much faster if the countries involved would have allowed it.Noise abatement nonsense and such killed the business.

  • WHAT A ACCELERATION!

  • You could have flown half the price for en extra 4 hours and instead perhaps fed a starving family for three years in Afrika. Rich people stink!

  • @joepatroni77 What, and deprive all those who designed the plane, built them, maintain them, the crews etc. of a living? A lttle jeolusy perhaps?

  • at the end of the flight the attendant says "and we hope to see you again before the end of our service in October" sad :(

  • Thank you for recording this, now us less fortunate souls know what it feels like.

  • Wow listen to those RR Snecma Olympus 593's scream!! What an amazing aircraft.

  • look at that speed

  • Epic take-off! Did you feel any strong g-force?

  • good vid. kind of an ugly bird, always thought so, but graceful at the same time. cheers!

  • history come to me¡¡

  • Did you notice anything the moment you crossed the sound barrier?

  • i took the last flight in 2004 it was amazing but the the seats were to small :(

  • Wow, the landing was kind of rough, was it usual to be that way on Concorde´s?

  • @FilK79 Yes, it did seem rough I must admit. Since I only went on it once I can't answer your question.

  • @FilK79 That rought landing was actuallya crosswind landing being performed why 3/4 of the way on the ground. Being close to the Hudson River brings in a lot of winds.

  • Well THAT'S COOL :)

  • is it a different airline? British Airways and British Airways Concorde, because the callsign is also different

  • wankers

  • I wish I had this experience :(

  • @funkyassfingers

The only logical explananation for your comment is simple jealousy. There were very few things that this country could be truly proud of, and Concorde was one of them. You could almost as much pleasure watching Concorde as you could flying in it. I'm not a millionaire, by any stretch of the imagination, but I managed to fly in it just once and never regretted spending the money for one second.

  • concorde in 1989 was fabulous - my flight heathrow to JFK seated in 10A gave me a better view than being positioned in the rear cabin known as * siberia * due to the lack of view from the porthole windows !

  • Did anyone catch the name of the captain?

Did it sound like Cpt. White? Thanks :)

  • I guess you was lucky to get to fly this bird in 2003 - since it's the same year it got "Laid Off"!

  • In my opinion the most beautiful & majestic aircraft of all time! great footage - Thank you for sharing!

  • @DRIFTking95M That's because it is. :P

  • Concorde really sped down that runway!

  • @MrBJC1996 It was a great experience.

  • The oppurtunity to ride the Concorde is one few have had. Thank you for sharing your flight!

  • How much did the tickets cost in 2003?

  • zero. I did it on airmiles.

  • @neil9071 You lucky bastard.

  • @neil9071 You had airmiles? How many did you need 1 million?

  • @GoingToBeAPilot1 I worked my butt off for years and saved up the airmiles over time. I can't remember the exact amount, but it was the same as a first class flight. I recommend the BA american express card as you get companion tickets. This is how I got my wife a free ticket as well.

  • @neil9071 Do you remember the cost of tickets for people paying with cash?

  • @GoingToBeAPilot1 It was £3,500 one way.

  • @neil9071 Ouch

  • @neil9071 yup was it worth it? idk to me it was. but not on a daily basis . you can have breakfast in ny, and luch in london. or vice versa. i hope they bring some form of this back Eh?

  • @neil9071 haha I love it! thanks for the video.

  • @laurencefrazer you wouldn't get turbulence at mach 2!

  • Nothing else even comes close to Concord, what a plane!

  • Too much zoom in the beginning...other than that, great documentation of the flight from London to JFK.

  • @newbeefly Yeah, sorry about that. I wasn't going to record it, but thought I'd give it a try.

  • how long was the flight like 4 hours?

  • wow! da takeoff was extremely fast then any other plane!

  • Fantastic video, cheers!
