You could use a cheap soldering iron and cut a 3 inch slit where the wrapper is, then bend the bottle to open the slit and stick the phone in, then solder that slit closed again or just use a glue and get a new wrapper on there. Not sure if thats how it was done, but thats how I'd do it if I needed to.
