I'm half chinese and half british. My sister has big golden brown eyes & I have brown uneven eyes. one is a double and one is a semi-double. Depending on the amount of sleep i get it changes. Can't get too much sleep or too little or one will be much smaller than the other. life sucks.
you think that they could fix my eyelids because i have one eyelid that its crease is low and the other eye i have one that has both high and medium crease and it makes one eye look bigger than the other like O.o <--- that
Beautiful tight asian eyes are just magic, perfect, that's the sexiest sh** i've ever seen on planet, when I was lil' kid I met asian girl, korean, really tight eyes, caramel skin, beautiful long hair, it blew my mind forever... amazing marvellous incredible slanted eyes are just supa dupa bomb like paradise!!!
My dad actually has an outside high crease and it is natural. Unfortunately I didn't inherit that trait....I am going to get this surgery before I go to college because one eye has a small crease and the other is single so one eye looks smaller than the other. I want a high inner crease.
at the comments below. i guess there are people arguing for both sides and also when i mentioned the thought to my friends about getting it down.. they were all against it. but then again both my aunt and my mum got theirs done when they were 18 and it looks really natural, pretty and good.
yes, there is a risk and pain involved but theres a risk in everything like mentioned below.
@m2mfan4eva I agree, and I also believe that it is a personal choice. If you like your single eyelids the way they are, great. But I also think that if it affects your self-esteem or if you wish to change them for other reasons, there also shouldn't be a negative stigma towards it. Every surgery has it's risks, but at the same time you can't ignore the fact that if you've properly done your research, finding a good quality surgeon drastically reduce the chances of further complications.
I think its silly to change your appearance for shallow reasons, if the lids caused trouble as in extremely thick or unbalanced (which I have seen) I could understand but most of the people who do this are doing it for purely cosmetic reasons. I love my singles and I'm sticking with them.
@Cangeltibon Silly to change your appearance for shallow reasons? Ignorance sure is bliss where you come from, eh? Have you ever heard of clothing, jewellry, make-up? Braces?
I want to get double eyelid surgery, yes, for shallow reasons, because it's very hard to wear eye make-up and because I think it will look better. Congratulations that you like your singles, but not everyone is as 'deep and special' as you and want it to look better, purely.
@m2mfan4eva I have heard of make-up, braces, jewelery, clothing, what I've never heard of is those things killing someone. Surgery for people who need it is dangerous enough, so why are hundreds of thousands of people having surgery for a reason that equates to putting on lip gloss. You're probably thinking 'oh it's just a little nip,its been done a million times' but what you don't hear is about the infections and blood clots that leave people without their sight and sometimes their lives.
@Cangeltibon Wake up honey, everything in life has a risk. Eating, breathing, sleeping, everything. Why drive? Cross roads? Oh and braces and make-up can possibly 'kill' or at least harm someone from infection or accidental swallowing. It's very rare for an eyelid procedure to go wrong, and it's mostly due to the doctor's inability. Just like you go to a regular doctor and he misdiagnoses you, you can die. Just be responsible and take care of it to prevent infection instead of being a dumbass
Actually, the high open crease does occur naturally in some Asians. How do I know? I sit next to a girl like that in school. And there's also another girl like that in my Psychology class, too. But I do admit that it is veeeery rare.
@ToastOfDOOMM Ah so very lucky, I am the opposite. I have VERY puffy monolids, hoping to get them done to get a crease, or at least minimize the puffiness. I look very sleepy, and when i say sleepy.. I mean SLEEPY.
@ToastOfDOOMM everyone including most asians are born with a natural double lid. HOWEVER, some asianss are born with monolids or very stubborn double lids. for example, my best friend had the double lid surgery done because sometimes her eyelids would be uneven/or nonexistent (depending on the amount of sleep she got, etc). also the height of the lid and the type honestly depend on genetics.
My eye shape is a really flat almond...my eyes are so small, people ask me how I see which is extremely embarassing.

So wait a second Asian women actively and commonly get this? Why? I don't understand.

But my eyelid creases don't go away when my eyes are closed, is this a problem or is it just a rare natural thing? ...
ToastOfDOOMM 10 months ago
@ToastOfDOOMM Nah it's natural, but pretty rare. Usually only happens with "hooded eyes" or people with really large folds.

@fudgestixles Yup. I have "really large folds" alright. :|

>:C I have a natural high crease inside fold eyelid. I'm so cool.
But aren't everyone but Asians (majority it seems) born with double eyelids?
I've noticed a lot of Chinese are born with double eyelids from the ones I've met in the past, and some mixed Asians (ex: Korean/Chinese).
