I HAVE XP AND WHEN I CLICK RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON AND THAN BRIDGE CONNECTION IT SHOWS NE NEXT "To create a netvork bridge, you must select at last two LAN or High-Speed Internet connections that are not being used by Internet Connection Sharing". What does it mean and can i fix it i mean can someone help me please.

Hey, if anyone can help me.. my problem right now is that when I click "OK" after checking "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" it gives me an error message saying " A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing." Do I need to change my IP or is it someone else on the network that needs a different IP?

Help would be appreciated. I've been looking for a solution for quite a while, now.

@SuniRedPanda bridge the one that is providing internet. if you don't know you can click on the network in network connections and it should say a sent and received box. the one in which these numbers change should be your internet connection.

@pikachu1484 it would stop working for me also sometimes. restarting my computer and xbox usually fixed it. also repairing or troubleshooting the bridge/connections might help.

The steps worked really well and it connected. But when it says an update is needed to play, it just randomly paused on the first bit of the update and didn't update at all so now I can't play xbox live. Any reason for this?

@Modaragamage7 No two things can have the same IP address, all you have to do is change the last 3 digits of the IP address to something else(for example if it is 101, change it to 111 or 112).

Well I got my laptop hooked up tested the connection with the xbox though it only goes as far as saying its connected to the PC can't access the internet the settings are sharing is enabled is the only thing I've done atm
