It's sweet that you intuitively associate me with the only other super-cool LHP cult (other than yours, of course) that traffics under such a name, but your attacks are as ad hominem as they are nauseum;-) You clearly didn't grasp the "stepping on noses" metaphor. Try to let the entire comment absorb before you shoot of such a transparently vaccuous and insecure response. Laugh all you like, because the world is laughing in your general direction...
The superlative, the creme of any population, naturally rises to the top. If you find your nose being stepped on by the patently inferior, the blind, the spiritually ignorant, then perhaps you don't occupy the same wrung of this ladder as you think.
P.S. you have the fastest growing LHP social networking site because it is heavily populated by the sock accounts of S.I.N. members, but you probably already knew that. H.P. Lovecraft is laughing at you in Valhalla.
alissonleejones; yes that's right-the ONLY one I could get my hands on in my local area. AsI mentioned before, access to occult literature is somewhat limmited in these here parts.....I shall have to look further.
well, I certainly believe in the existence of outside/supurnatural/spiritual forces, i definately believe in the power of Magick (even if as a form of spiritual guidance and strength, or for causing changes to occur) and I have a keen interest in the occult/esoteric. If I HAD to label myself it would probably be a dark Pagan and seeker of hidden knowledge. This one could run and run....
Thelcior; I am currently re-reading "the Satanic Bible......but Iam still not convinced that it's not atheistic....Peter Gilmour even refers to its atheistic principles in his intro! But as I said, I DO strongly agree with certain aspects (as I've already pointed out) but space permits me from elaborating further. I also identify with the 3 aspects of Satanism that you yourself defined, but i personally find the term Satanist too limited to describe my own theories/doctrines....to be continued!
Please don't take anything Peter Gilmore says about Satanism seriously. He is the archetypal example of what I mean by not a real Satanist and not treading the Left Hand Path. If you took The Satanic Bible figuratively AND literally for a moment, then you would see the third side... the Satanic side!
Someone who understands that the Satanic Bible does not represent the entire Satanic Community.
Satanist who take full individual responsibility i.e. just cos they are satanist doesn't give them the excuse and free range to attack people like school yard bullies, cursing people and getting their occult friends to curse people cos of some little thing someone said or done.
Either belief in or an open mind towards the possibility of: 1. Higher Forces 2. Magic 3. Occultism/Esotericism
That, according to me, qualifies an individual to call himself a real Satanist. In other words, a true Satanist is NOT a wholly atheistic pseudo-elite asshole. Thanks for your question.
Don't you think unification and the LHP are opposites on a fundamental level? I agree with some of the points in your article (and video) but I think a Jihad against other LHP groups is a bit much. Why not seek to form something of a LHP Confederation rather than an entire unification? Aside from that, I'd suggest that you edit the article on the site to give some brief definitions of "messiah" and "jihad" (both kinds) to clarify things a bit for people out there.
@alisonleejones Sure. The LHP basically centers around self-deification (not being unified with a god), antinomianism (not being unified with society), and individual will (etc etc). You can see these principles at work on a subtle level when a lot of LHP magicians get together, like an international gathering or something, when getting even a small group of them to agree on something can be like herding cats. Now imagine trying to get whole LHP groups to agree on setting up a unified front!
Thank you. I would agree, it is like herding cats sometimes, but I've also seen (personally) some great things accomplished as one cohesive unit, when LPR's get together for a common goal. I guess, its a matter of the individual's personal goals, to drive them to align with others. Thanks again for the elaboration.
@alisonleejones I agree with you. It is a fantastic thing to see LHP magicians getting together and doing great Works, in the ritual chamber and not, but usually this is in-group Work that doesn't extend to other organizations. I think that while a LHP Confederacy would be great, it would have to be on individual-level and not an organizational one, as each LHP tends to stand alone and apart from each other.
@01blackpete1 Generally speaking, the "self" in "self-deification" tends to be the magician's own psyche\daemon. This daemonic-self could be multifaceted, like a self-complex, but this is still an individual self and not the self of another entity. And yes, I would certainly claim that the RHP is chiefly about unification with some god-head (or self-destruction).
@01blackpete1 Having a divine aspect to your overall being is not the same as being connected to something that is also divine. As you can see, divinity can be both a quality and an entity, depending on how you use the word in English. I'm saying "unification with some god-head" to mean unification with something that is not your own divine-self. Do you see how that works? The term "fact" is dubious in this instance, as you cannot objectively prove this and thus by its very nature is not fact.
@Entheobotany In the Jewel Net of Indra everything is already inter-connected and inter-penetrating. Indras Jewel Net is the divine. The Godhead is the plenum-void.
I do not believe in deities as existing beings outside of human consciousness. Not Zeus, Jehovah or Cthulhu.
All gods reside within the human breast and are aspects of the matrix.
Expecting help from external entities is a waste of time.
My divine Self is essentially transpersonal, thus not really "mine" in an egoistic sense.
@01blackpete1 Ok. I can see the logic there. I would almost claim that such a transpersonal perspective is not compatible with a RHP\LHP paradigm, which is fine (since that paradigm is artificial) by me really.
@01blackpete1 Can you restate "By unification do you imply uniformity?" in the form of a complete sentence so I know what you are precisely referring to? Thanks.
Eostar to the Celtic Pagans, the Christians just hijjacked the festival/Sabbat for their own ends.....what a surprise! I agree with you on the Left Hand Path.....recently read LaVey's.....interesting.....little book (Acess to Occult literature is somewhat limmited in my area) and it's basically a cynical Atheist manifesto. Some good truths regarding morality, religous hypocrasy....but things I ALREADY KNEW!!! Such is life....
LaVeyan Satanism is not atheistic! It is a perfect balance between healthy skepticism and recognizing Dark Forces from Outside. Perhaps you should re-read The Satanic Bible...
No one version of Satanism or the LHP is the right one and if LHP practitioners begin squabbling like this then they are ultimately proving themselves as feeble as all those "Christians" that praise God who loves all of His children but turn around and allow homosexuals, indivduals of dark skin, non-Christians to be abused, tortured, and murdered in the name of their so called "God of Love." Is that what the LHP is going to become? or is it going to be open minded and embrace the goal of ....
Yes, self-improvement. You misunderstand if you think i'm trying to limit, divide, or hijack the LHP. I'm trying to save what's remains of it. Read my other essays and blogs if you still aren't getting my message.
I admit I only went about one minute and 40 seconds into the video before making this comment. Whereas I honor your belief that people, including one's self, shouldn't fool themselves or others I have to say that, like Christianity and many other religions etc., there are numerous versions which all center around a specific ideal/goal which includes LHP/Satanism etc. Satan is as much a concept as a real entity therefore Satan has a varied representation as many Gods and Goddesses.
