@Zarnirox - There's something very unnerving about children in horror settings. I don't even know what it is...probably because they're usually the ones who somehow know everything, can communicate with ghosts, or have some other type of special power. So I guess you could say it's not normal kids that scare me - it's the creepy precocious kids that are in most horror franchises (e.g. Aiden from the Ring).

...Also, I don't really want to think about zombie kids. *shudder*

They didn't use enough scare tactics in the apartment scenes, in my opinion. The possessions were creepy, sure, but... I mean, I wanted to see some serious 1408 shit go down in there.

I think the apartment, even when haunted, was still meant to be the safe haven of the game. Doing too much would have ruined that.

Yes, that makes sense as a design decision and whatnot. This game also seemed a bit less hardcore than the previous games, so to speak, especially with the ability to heal up without using nutrition drinks. I'm just used to never being safe in horror games. I mean, just look at the Siren games. *Shakes head*
