  • Great video Craig...Wow it was really foggy outside on landing.

  • @19bootsy68 Thank you very much Mark. It was certainly very, very foggy at Luton on arrival. I was actually concerned by the amount of fog and thought we may have to divert... Obviously the pilot had been informed that the fog was within landing limits so all it was fine.

  • @craiglsimons I was diverted from LHR to MAN from LAX years ago because of frozen fog...then we sat on the plane for another 3 hours before they let us off...i was able to fly from MAN to NCL on Gill Air which Virgin Atlantic paid for..it would of been a waste of time and money heading back to LHR knowing i would miss my B.A. flight back to NCL the frozen was never going to lift...so i would have had to spend a night at a LHR hotel..i was beside Mikkey Dee out of Motorhead and Lemmy was behind.

  • @19bootsy68 Cool! You sat next to two music stars! Lucky you! Yes, that would have been a very silly idea to come back to Heathrow when Manchester is nearer Newcastle than London! That was very nice of VA to pay for the short domestic hop you needed to get back to NCL. Luckily, I have never been diverted and fingers crossed, I never will be. I've never been in a situation where a divert has been necessary.

  • @craiglsimons I got Mikkey Dee on video 8 tape it was funny they were not sitting in Upper Class...it was in Mid Class now known as Premium Economy.....but in my time flying to LAX in the 90's i seen a few stars in Upper Class....but one of the best stars i ever seen on a flight was Frank Bruno on a flight from LHR to NCL..he was playing football in a charity football match at Gateshead stadium...only months earlier i'd seen him fall off his bike in the Great North bike ride that past my house.

  • @19bootsy68 Cool! Surprised a music star was sitting in Economy Class! You certainly have seen a few famous faces. Bet it was nice seeing Frank Bruno going to Newcastle!

  • @craiglsimons Mid Class or Premium Economy as Virgin calls it was a whole new thing then...only Eva Air had this kind of seating...B.A. would like to think they were the first airline to start P.E. but i know for sure it was Eva then Virgin...Frank Bruno way great...i asked him if he would be fighting George Foreman as that was all the talk at the time...he said "No"...they never did fight...anyway he laught when i told him about seeing him falling of his bike and swearing with his cut knee.

  • Seems like Easyjet is your airline of preference and so is J20 apple & mango onboard!

  • @filthiestfish Yes, Easyjet is my airline of preference as far as flying within the UK and Europe! They provide a very good service and you get what you pay for. As for my onboard snack, I either have an J20 Apple & Mango with Oreos or Kit Kat or a cup of tea and a Kit Kat.

  • @craiglsimons I dont have a problem with Easyjet per se, but I do have a problem with their boarding system. I also wish airlines would sell full hot meals at a decent price.

  • @filthiestfish Yes... I'm not over enthusiastic about the boarding system either. Everyone piles to the front of the Gate and crushes each other on the way to the aircraft!!! I'm not so bothered about the hot meal. I find that you usually get a horrible meal on the major non-budget airlines, so it's better you bring your own food, knowing the food you bring onboard is to your satisfaction.

  • Fantastic

  • @flightsimulatorXpert Thank you very much!
