In terms of TRUTH, only Allah Knows what her real age was; But something is fishy, because I've been Muslim for several decades, Thank You Allah, and I have NEVER heard or read anything about 6 years old until 2009. You can't say for sure either! In The Quran the word 'woman' is used in terms of marriage. Allah Knows Best!

Kimdonesia is a young beautiful, sweet girl.. let her live her life as she wants to.. I think she is very brave.. I am sad that she didn't felt that Islam was "good enough" for her.. First of all, Mosaic law was for the ancient Middle eastern Jews, not for us. But there wasn't a death penalty for apostasy in the Mosaic law either. If you wanted to convert to a pagan religion, you could. The only requirement was that you had to leave Israel and join one of the neighbor countries. You couldn't pollute the Holy Land.

To translate Quran, use Quran, dictionary, and rational thought only. Hadith is not needed. Hadith was not Allah's teaching through Muhammad, it's Bukhari, Ahmed, and his friends teaching. What come from Allah through Muhammad is only Quran.
Hadith authenticity value is as low as the Bible and Torah.

Honor killing only happens among Arab Muslims on a regular basis. No Arab Christians, Jews, etc. practice honor killing. Only Arab Muslims practice honor killing with regularity. In fact, the Quran 4:15 and Quran-24:2 incite honor killing be carried out against women who are accused of lewdness and adultery. Moreover, even though the Bible contains stoning for adultery, nevertheless, Jews and Christians do not partake in honor killings.

First, the marriage was not consummated until she reached puberty:
Al Bukhari narrated (hadeeth 3683): He married Aishah (radi Allahu 'anha) when she was six years old, and consummated the marriage when she was nine.
Also narrated in Al Mustadrak, 6715/2313 and multitude of other hadeeth compilations.
(Note: This is the age of puberty of many girls in that climate.)

After the death of Prophet Muhammad there must be someone who is very close to the prophet to stay for the next generation, teaching the next generation. This woman alone has recorded almost 25% of his words and teaching. She was more as a student than a wife, imagine someone lives with the prophet, understand him while she is being kid, that woman will grow with alot of knowledge of Islam.

@GuiltyofBeingMuslim, I'm relating what I was told about Aisha(R); I'm also going by several Videos I've seen that at least present historical details to try to determine Aisha's(R) age; I've also seen references where those 4 Schools of thought, have reached conclusions other than what Allah Has Revealed in The Quran. No one or group impresses me, I don't care who they are, if they don't judge by what Allah Has Revealed, and in the end, reach the SAME conclusions Allah Has Reached.

No, I didn't check, but, all pieces of the specific information on Aisha(R), outside of The Quran, are from sources not protected by Allah. In terms of TRUTH, only Allah Knows what her real age was; But something is fishy, because I've been Muslim for several decades, Thank You Allah, and I have NEVER heard or read anything about 6 years old until 2009. You can't say for sure either! In The Quran the word 'woman' is used in terms of marriage. Allah Knows Best!

if you havent heard of it, that doesnt mean it didnt exist before 2009. the hadith has been there since from the beginning of islam - documented not long after. so its just tat you havent heard.
it baffles me that you would accept the information from a youtube video without question or any efort to check the credibilty of the information or author of such information, but you will quickly jump to criticise hadith and renown scholars whom countless people have testified to their reliability.

Not just A YouTube Video, SEVERAL. As of yet, I've seen no counter proof, from any Muslim with facts, that prove wrong, the details given in the Videos. The details in the Videos, are more in line with 'womanhood'; A 6 year old child cannot give her consent about marriage - she's too young. A 6 year old, according to Ahadith, doesn't even have to make Salat yet! I'M amazed that you accept, without question, a collection of Books(Ahadith) that are NOT protected by Allah!

granted i got my info of an ex mulims website, but the refutations were clearly logical and based on evidence and the refutation was dont by a muslim, the ex muslims just used it to their advantage.
