  • @gaggybabbler Nope, there is just one z spring in the ipod touch and a two pin prong, have a look to see if the make contact with the midframe

  • Thank you. Excellent tutorial. Unfortunately it did not work for me. The new pin I had was from an old 3G (exactly like the one you had) and I put it on a 3GS which was a little different (longer and higher). I assume that my iron is not as hot as yours as it took longer than you to work.

  • thanks for this offmains, I didn't have a replacement connector so just built up a tiny blob of solder to the hight of the unbroken one.

    It seems to work ok at the moment.
