What is the purpose? Circumcision is for hygiene... cropped ears is for no reason. Not only does it make the dogs look more intimidating, it is a needless surgery.

There is absolutely no risk of an ear infection in these dogs and I don't know where you pulled that from. Floppy ears protect things from getting IN the ears. If there is a problem with ear infections, you can do what vets and groomers do and clean inside with an alcohol soaked cotton ball- This dries up any water that may get in the ears during bathing (which is what causes ear infections).

There have also been studies done that suggest cropping may reduce hearing capabilities. Wild dogs also have pointed ears that stand up BUT they are much longer than artificially cropped ears. My dogs ears are floppy like they're supposed to be, NEVER any ear problems whatsoever. No evidence to back their claims, they're simply wrong.

I'd cut the tail off a pit. My friend didn't cut his and that thing is like a whip. Every time I'm there, I get hit in the nuts a few times. Sometimes she'll knock over cups and stuff with her tail.

"Pit Bull" isn't a breed, its a term used to describe a certain group of dog breeds. The breed is American Pit Bull Terrier. And by you saying they call them that for short or anything like that, that would be like me calling one of my Bullmastiffs a Mastiff, or one of my Dobermann Pinschers a Pinscher. Its a breed group not a breed. "Red-Nosed" and such are yes, colors. Again, when people ask for a breed, they don't say "I have a Black & Tan Dobie. " The simply say the breed name.

well, when you are describing diff breeds of dogs, you do say the color. Like My dog is 130 pounds of luv. She is a LANDSEER (black and white.) Newfoundland. Now if i said newfoundland most ppl woulth think black. But she's not. f i were to go up to a breeder and ask if she had any stud dogs. I wouls asked for a BLACK one because, there are more than one color. ANd i would prefer black over the 4 colors they come in. Landseer,cole,black, and bronze. Yes, you would say "Black Labrador Retriever." Thats not the point. The point is color doesn't change their temperament, just their color. "Blue-Nosed" and such are colors, not breeds. They are also only bred by "Back-Yard" breeders. The breed is American Pit Bull Terrier.

you can call a doberman pinscher a doberman and people still know what you are talking about, id say its more common to say i have a doberman than to say a doberman pinscher. thats what i say anyways. and when people ask me what kind of dog my new puppy apbt is i just say hes a pitbull and it gets the point across. when people say pitbull, most of the time they will mean apbt. no, red or blue nose is not a breed, you are right about that. who really cares about technecalities?

American Pit Bull Terriers are small to medium sized dogs that get 15 - 21 inches at the shoulder and 22 - 65 pounds. Anything more then 70 pounds is obese and/or a mutt. Look up the American Bully and you'll see thats what your dog is. A mutt bred by "Back-Yard" breeders. NOT An American Bulldog or an American Pit Bull Terrier. Also, "Blue-Nosed" is a color, not a dog breed.

I'd cut the tail off a pit. My friend didn't cut his and that thing is like a whip. Every time I'm there, I get hit in the nuts a few times. Sometimes she'll knock over cups and stuff with her tail.

I got a blue pit named shy, 7 months old and 40lbs, I also got a lab pit mix and a akita husky mix...these dogs are the most loyal kinds u'll eva meet. Anybody who thinks pits and akitas are vicious shud be shot in they mouth, 4real. Dog racism and shit..the meanest dog u cud possibly get statistically is a dachsund, read about it, them and cocker spaniels bite more people yearly then pits, rotties and akitas put together
