In WoW fx You've got people with massive 2 handed swords, maces axes etc. smashing people a billion times before they die.

At first I was like man how come lightsabers be goin' through people? But then I was like wait, I watch swords go through people all the time in video games, and a solid metal blade passing through your torso is gonna bisect you just as surely as any laser sword. I've already suspended this disbelief, why stop now? I am on board 100%!

@Davidwilson1212 You buy the game. Install it. Use your 30 days free subscription. Then play.

It's not difficult. 90% the same as playing a normal game, however you have to add a subscription. But like I said, you get 30 days free.

@Davidwilson1212 Simple, use the WSAD keys to move. That's: W for forward, S for Backwards, A for turn left (or strafe left, not sure, depends how game is configured), D for turn right (or strafe right).

You click on your enemies with the mouse, and use the number keys 1 to 0 for your attacks. It's all quite simple, and will be explained better in game through a tutorial. And just FYI, most PC games in which you actually move will use the WSAD keys.

I'm 99.9% certain, but I wasn't in the beta.

I think it would be cool if after a couple of times of getting hit by a lightsaber in a certain limb you could lose your limb. Then you could go out after the battle and buy a mechanical limb.

@Exili2010 Thank you :D. Rift is actually trying to directly attack WoW. TOR is gonna try to co-exist with it by having a different theme besides the typical fantasy; kinda like Eve Online. TOR is such a bigger game though. It's gonna change the MMO franchise forever.

Blasters do one hit kills in Star Wars, too. There's the balance.

@ORCA4312 Actually, if you have shields and armour, blasters DON'T do one hit kills ( and neither if, say, you're shot in ya leg/arm, unless you're a stormtrooper :P ) and there's also armour made of certain alloys and melee shields that can block lightsabers. So, actually, it's fairly "realistic" in certain terms. Please do also consider that games have work within certain limitations. Anyways, I'm looking forward to this game. I trust Bioware to do what they do best. :)

@ORCA4312 The Originals were great but the Expanded Universe has a lot more to offer. Take for example Knights of the Old Republic, both the game(s) and the comic books. They were just as great as the Originals. As for these technologies not being in the movies; this all takes place almost 3, 500 years before the films. Things are bound to have changed over the course of millennia. :)

@ORCA4312 No, but blasters and lightsabers may get BETTER. They actually discuss it in KOTOR. Someone invented a new type of energy shield that's pretty good at blocking blasters and lasers, so vibroswords had to be put back into use amongst soldiers until someone found a way to make stronger and better blaster so that their shots could penetrate the new shields.

The game seemed decent at PAX, but Guild Wars 2 was better. Guile Wars 2 also doesn't make you pay $15 a month. I think I'll hold off on this game until more reasonable pricing arrangements can be made.

@Jonathan1850 seriously.. do you have any idea what the monthly fee contributes to a game, without for example wow without a monthly fee it would not be as good, the game company need the money to expand and develop that is what a MMO is about, and that is why Guild Wars 2 will not be as developed in the future, if you can't afford it maybe the game genre isn't for you

@applegeek18 have you watched the 2011 gamescon presentation of guild wars 2? It looks fucking amazing. And about good games needing monthly fees... all games on playstation network are free to play online and they do well, all games on xbox live, with out the live price do well, and its still a third of wows monthly fee. You dont need to be slappe din the face with a monthly fee to enjoy a good game

@1337mania yes i have and was not impressed, PSN is far inferior to xbox live, no you don't need a montly fee to enjoy a good game but if you want the game to evolve and develop the company needs some income other than the actual units themselves, in this case a low cost fee to play each month how hard can it be to understand ?
