  • So it's okay for the government to spend $16 on breakfast? Get real people. That is an expensive breakfast. BTW michellemichon, where is your response?

  • ‎$16 per muffin is what we tax payers are paying for the DOJ. Time to get real, spit the muffin out, never order it again and start taking our money seriously. NO MORE MONEY! This and 1/2 Billion wasted on Solyndra! Does the waste ever end??

  • @Bboop4444plus DON'T BUY INTO LIES. THE MUFFIN STORY IS A HOAX. A TOTAL LIE. POE DIDN'T CHECK THE FACTS (AS USUAL) BEFORE HE MADE THIS SPEECH.

  • @michellemichon It wasn't a hoax. It really did happen. The DOJ used tricky accounting procedures but with coffee and all the history is the same. They are going to expensive hotels when they need to be cutting back like the rest of America has had to do.

  • The morning raido talk shows are laughing at Poe. The whole "issue" was a lie. Poe made a fool of himself. Read your American history. In fact, read about the construction of Hoover Dam. Are you an idiot or what?

  • @michellemichon prove that it was a lie. Post a link with facts and not the 'radio shows' website either. Because you can't.

  • @PntsOnTheGround Look up the Mother Jones article titled, "The Great $16 Muffin Myth". If you are too lazy to look it up, I wouldn't be surprise. It's people like you who blindly follow your party who is a big part of the problem in our politics.

  • @michellemichon it spent an average of $14.74 per attendee per day on food and beverages—just above the $14.72 JMD limit for refreshments.

There you go dear. I looked it up, next time read the bold print. It might not be $16 for a muffin, but $15 for other bakery items and refreshments per person? Clearly unnecessary when they got a lot of stuff for free. Not to mention that website is heavily biased. Just saying.

  • I'm surprised Poe didn't catch the Defense Department Inspector General's Excess Inventory and Contract Pricing at the Corpus Christi Army Depot'. The contract problems with Boeing are with the Roller Assembly Gear: Retail : $12.51 and Sold for $1,678.67 that's a 21,000% mark up. Metal Pin: Retail :$0.04 and Sold for $71.01 at a 177,000% mark up. Source: Project on Government Oversight Why isn't Poe screaming about this?

  • Did Poe forget about JOBS?

  • @michellemichon What about jobs? There's not a single elected official that can create jobs.

  • @MourninGlory Just wanted to let you know this muffin story is a hoax. It's not even true. Look it up. Government CAN create jobs. If you don't realize that, read your American history.

  • A hoax? Is it all one giant conspiracy theory (gasp)! Government cannot create jobs. It can only hinder job creation. Has Obama's last job's bill worked? Give me a name of someone who got job from that bill. Even Obama joked: "Shovel-Ready Was Not as Shovel-Ready as Expected" (I'm glad someone can make light of the situation). Give me an example when government has created jobs since I'm so ignorant. Please, I'd love to learn.

  • @michellemichon Not a single politician can go down to Wal-Mart, and demand them to hire people. That is a way for them to win your heart over. So before you poking fun at other peoples history knowledge, look at your own first. The only jobs the government can make are federal jobs, but it cuts into our budget that we dont have. So keep telling and believing that they can create jobs, cause you're mistaken.

  • @PntsOnTheGround Are you daft? Did you read what you posted? Do yourself a favor and look up the San Antonio River Improvements Projects (SARIP). You'll see how stupid your post was.

  • @michellemichon Am i daft? No i am not. You specifically said 'government can make jobs'. Yes they can, but only FEDERAL JOBS. Whats federal jobs? Jobs that are held by people and whose income is sufficed by the government's budget. So let me ask you this, you will allow MORE PEOPLE getting more money from the government rather than encouraging them to go job hunting? Typical Democrat view. SARIP is just a way for taxpayers to pay for trees and 'revitalization' of the river.

  • @PntsOnTheGround You didn't read the Mother Jones article which gave the break down. You are a blind sheep. Good luck with your "Know-Nothing, Do Nothing" party.

  • @michellemichon You're a joke. Your are just a jobless Democrat who has nothing better to do with your life besides bitch and complain about the Republicans. But in the end, you know nothing. Quite funny how you said I didn't read the article when i CLEARLY copied from it on my comment. Oh well, we see who the blind one here. Also, one last thing. If you don't like Poe, who would you of voted for in our district? Quite sure he didn't have a Democratic opponent. So deal with it or GTFO.

  • I can not believe you gave THAT speech on the House floor Mr. Poe. I'm shaking my head in shame knowing you are my congressman. JOBS JOBS JOBS JOBS OR DID YOU FORGET ABOUT THAT?

  • @michellemichon I'm shaking my head that you live in my district and have the right to disrespect YOUR Congressman like that. Shows how much of an American you are.

  • @PntsOnTheGround ....What? Are you proud of the presentation of this speech? Shows the stupidity on your part.

  • @michellemichon I'm proud that he understands that there is wasteful spending. Also, am I proud that he is our Representative? Yes, yes I am. He clearly understands politics, unlike you who troll on a video because you 'feel ashamed', honestly don't watch the videos. I don't know where you get your news from but its not correct, most likely CNN. Oh well.

  • @PntsOnTheGround Well Poe sure did ask ICE a bunch of questions I thought he should have known when he was down in Brownsville this past week. Being he's on the Subcommittee for Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security and all. Call me what you wish. It doesn't change the facts. Just like it doesn't change the fact that Poe was quoting the EPA while at the same time, wanting to defund the EPA. Yeah...Real "smart".
