Amazing job, you're probably not gonna reply to me, but what editing program did you use for this? I'm looking for a good program to do this kinda stuff, using windows live maker is not fun at all Lol
@SoapFights I'm not the editor, but I'd recommend those I normally use: Final Cut (for Mac) Adobe Premiere (for PC) or Avid MediaComposer (for both). They can be expensive, but I guess you could always find a way to download them.
this is a brilliant work of art! i would see this in the theater with my friends since we all love horror movies and we all saw the original in 81 and Terror Train that was good too and is it just me or does the plot of My Bloody Valentine and The Prowler kind of are a mix? but this movie was cool and so was the remake
Back sometime early this year(2009).I was at Wal-Mart in the dvd movie section. These 2 teenage girls(about 16 or 17 years of age)were on the other side. One of them says,"Look ,My Bloody Valetine,is already out on dvd."The other girl says,"Strange didn't this movie open in theatres just 2 weeks ago?"They were looking at the original 1981 version.
(I first time saw this movie when I was only 15 years old on vhs video back during the '80s)
@KillaCamRon360,remember this. Generation "Y"(17-27 years of age now). They prefer to watch their own generation of movies without going back to the last generation's movies(or watching their parents era of movies). That's why in the last 10 years, there's been many remake of horror movies.90% of them refuse to watch movies from the past(and you know those movies made back then didn't have CG effects as many movies now do).
This young gneration is the "XBOX 360" & "Playstation 2-3"
@TheXtro101 yep i know it man, everybody wants to watch the newer ones instead of watchin the ones that the remakes are based off of.lol yeah i dont think they will make a movie nowadays without at least SOME CGI effects in it,back then it was normal to not have any cause i know that they didnt have the technology to do it with.what has the world come to though man?
This *IS* the 1981 movie! And I agree about the gore and terror - I personally think it's one of the best slasher movies from the era! Actually, forget that, EVER! Ha! :-D
yeah i agree. friday sucked. didnt see the last house remake. but i dont have high expectations. the original was okay. nothing special. i doubt the remake is
The remake was better than the original

What about the one from 1981? there was much gore and terror when it came to "My Bloody Valentine".

Thanks! Can't beat the original My Bloody Valentine - I can't think of another film to tumble dry someone to death with such panache!

The remake was ok. Still alot better than the friday the 13th remake and last house on the left remake. Still can't beat the original tho.

Great job using the '09 audio with the original MBV trailer. Really enjoyed it.
The original movie blows away the remake.
BergenCountyNJ 3 years ago
Thanks BergenCountyNJ.
I agree. I did enjoy the re-make in a throwaway way, but it was nowhere near the original, which is one of my all-time favorite films.
MardaleMassifMovies 3 years ago
I'm not a fan of remakes but one thing I do like about them is that they make you really appreciate the originals (a la MBV and Hills Have Eyes).
BergenCountyNJ 3 years ago
Very true - I don't think the uncut version of My Bloody Valentine would have ever been released if it wasn't for LionsGate and their remake. :-D
MardaleMassifMovies 3 years ago
Oh absolutely, no doubt.
The gore in the newly released uncut version, I thought, was done very tastefully.
BergenCountyNJ 3 years ago
As tasteful as tumble-drying someone to death can be! ;-D
