  • "You're about as useless as tits on a boar hog!"

    "I'm fixing to..."

    "Ya'll..."

  • I think I've heard the last comment before.... lol

  • if that don't get your fire started your woods wet!

  • @kristentn Nice one!

  • @jake92sc Thanks! :)

  • I've heard almost all of these :)

  • roll tide!:)

  • haha love this. of course you would be from alabam, roll tide!

  • @countrygirlx3 I'm actually from Arkansas. A friend in Texas gave me the Alabama hat. I'm not a sports fan, but I've learned to say roll tide when I where it. :)

  • @00neal *wear

    ~Sincerely, someone with OCD

  • @ApolloBrony Thanks! Kills me that I can't go back and fix the spelling error.

  • could have included semi-racist/carpetbagger stuff dude!

  • @xtrmsprts don't know any.

  • @00neal hell, then ask me... I was born in mississippi. My old man could curse like a sailor when it came to riling against the federal government, colored folk, homosexuals. Guess you from the north, makin fun of us down here.

  • I'm ready for baseball season (during basketball season)

I'm ready for football season (during baseball season)

    "Go Cocks!"

"Were you raised in a barn? Close the door!"

    "I'm goin' mud-riding. You comin'?"

"Grandma's got supper waitin' at her house!"

    "Pecan pie."

"Are you coming out to the flea market with me and papa this Saturday?"

-I'm from Columbia, SC and I have family all over the south. If you are iffy on anything, please ask.

  • @clutzywithclass there first time I saw, "Go Cocks!" was on Facebook and it was posted by a fairly conservative woman. Now I know it's about sports.

  • Some sayings for the next one...

"You're as handy as a pocket on a shirt!"

"Does Dolly Parton sleep on her back?" (sarcastically)

    "You'ns."

    "Pretty as a picture."

"Dumber than a bag of rocks."

"Yeah, I got one in my truck."

"As useless as tits on a hog"

    "Well I'll be."

  • @Redthoughtful Thanks!

  • Hahah ive heard and said about 95% of them! :)

  • And what about "I'll swannee?" One of my faves, although I have yet to find out what it means to swannee.

  • @junipermama1 I could be wrong about this, but there's a verse in the Bible that says not to swear an oath. Some people in the south a long time ago wouldn't say, "Well, I'll swear!" because of that verse. I think they said, "I'll swannee" as a safe alternative to, "I'll swear." Suwannee is a river in Georgia made famous by a folk song and it's pronounced swannee.

  • @00neal Oh, that's really good to know. That explains a lot about my grandmother's constant swaneeing.

  • @junipermama1 00neal is correct! as a georgian we say "i suwanne" as an alternative to "i swear" kind of like we say "she's a real bitty" instead of "she's a real b*tch"

  • i live in the south & throughout this whole video, i have only heard 5 of the sayings mentioned

  • @crimsonrose013 some are regional. "If that don't put pepper in the gumbo," for example, is something you're only likely to hear in cajun country. My favorite, "Is a frogs ass waterproof" is one I read somewhere and remembered it because it made me laugh, but I've never actually heard anyone say it.

  • @00neal Cajun Country... You from Louisiana? Lol cus we definitely have our sayings.

  • @iBEkewll I grew up in South Arkansas, 30 miles from Louisiana. I love Cajun Country because I love food! :)

  • "Bye y'all." is definitely the best

  • "That makes as much sense as tits on a lightbulb" LOL

  • How's your mom an' 'em?

  • @junipermama1 Oh yeah! That's a good one and it reminds me of how some girls call their mom's mother and their dads daddy in the same sentence, "mother and daddy." That's going in the next one! Thanks!

  • @00neal OMG, I thought I was the that! Almost everyone in NE AL says "mother and daddy," and I've always thought it sounded strange.

  • ONE THING YOU FORGOT TO SAY ROLLTIDE!!!!

    YEAH BABY..

  • @gater200 That's the very first thing I thought when I was editing!

  • If you have some favorite southern sayings, leave a comment. I'd like to make more of these! It was fun to use this accent outside an auto repair shop. :)
