@Sierra4Delta There's always lasik. I had to have the procedure done after 6 years of flying and the Navy still lets me fly. I'm not terribly sure about rules concerning corrective surgery when it comes to candidates but if they were ok with me getting lasik you might have a shot.

That's not true. The fact is that all The R&D is add in to that 350 mil price tag. It onlt cost about 142 mil to build a raptor. With the typhoon that cost is not add to the posted price.

@ThunderbirdsFan26-Good luck my man I hope your an (A+) student also when you go into college major in some sort of science or engineering degree you might have a half chance at making it. I tried ended up flying helicopters which is ok, but when you kill someone and that's what you do in the military a helo pilot gets to see the facial expression of someone just before they die have fun getting that picture out of your head.

@TheCorrompus I would say the best thing in the world piloting a fighter aircraft, but you know a fighter pilot flies only 1hour or 2 hours a day and other than flying he helps in cleaning and all the stuff. lol

@Sierra4Delta There's always lasik. I had to have the procedure done after 6 years of flying and the Navy still lets me fly. I'm not terribly sure about rules concerning corrective surgery when it comes to candidates but if they were ok with me getting lasik you might have a shot.

@9stevo2 hard work, putting your life on the line, having the weight of the people you are supporting and your wingmen, and then the risks on the path to becoming one, how flight school works is you will have to serve, and fly something.. but it might not be a jet you could end up in an ac-130, depends on how well you do in flight school and the needs of the service, difficult to have a family, airforce deployments can last from 3 months (which isnt so bad) to a year or so

The winner in the air wins the battle i accept that but the war is won and at the same time lost by the nuclear war head. It's not a flawed logic at all, infact it's reality, ANY war between nuclear nations will inevitably lead to a nuclear war once one nations backs against the wall.
The only wars that have taken place since the end of the second world war have been Asymmetric in that one side is vastly militarily more capable. thus nuclear weaponary not needed.

Multirole juse means it can do more then one thing, Not that its meant to every time. They designed the huey for transport, Then they put guns on it, Hence multi-role.

I think the F22 is magiinally better at BVR combat...within visual range is questionable....

Yeah...missiles are getting so good now. The EF is due to get good ram jet BVR missiles I believe although god knows when?
It's still good to have WVR capability though....just in case the first missile gets evaded.

That's not true. The fact is that all The R&D is add in to that 350 mil price tag. It onlt cost about 142 mil to build a raptor. With the typhoon that cost is not add to the posted price.
