I agree that the Knicks don't need a point guard until 2010. No one, but no one will take Marbury at 20 million for 2009. But he's still a viable point guard if D'A can get him to play, and the two point guards who could have been real futures for the Knicks were gone by the time they got to #6. So why waste a draft pick on a second tier guard when better ones will be available next year if they finish low and draft high?

The Knicks need to be rebuilt from scratch and Gallinari has a future.

The Knicks should start drafting foreign players because they always seem to play very well in NBA. If Knicks draft Gallinari,he can be a surprising player. Already he is threat with combination of height, shooting and passing.If he become stronger and maybe grow a little more, we would watch a true backcourt version of Dirk, I guess. Busts? European players are the wave of the future and the untapped resources that will lead teams to championships. Look at the San Antonio Spurs with their European backcourt, look at Dirk etc. I'm still a believer in Andrea, and I'd take a skilled oversized European over some hype job like OJ Mayo or DeAndre Jordan. Games are won with passing and shooting, not foolish highlight films.
