How much you want to be that Sony will be announcing their new system not long after E3 this year? Once they get a better idea of what the Wii U can do, they will be coming up with a ripoff of it like they always do.
@Joseppi04 You know... I'm rather upset because I got the Vita and I'm really not impressed. The feeling that I got from the PSP was as if a big jump in handheld gaming had occurred. Then with the 3DS that same feeling. Now with the PSV it seems as though it was not a leap at all... hardly even a step. It looks nice but nothing that the 3DS can't already do. And the user interface is horrid.
@rudy76107 I think you missed the point. It's the system that failed to topple Nintendo. Ridge Racer for the PSP was a great game but even though the graphics and sound on the PSP was worlds better Sony still couldn't outsell the Nintendo handheld.
@rudy76107 That is such an old cop-out. People have been trying to make that argument since the NES days, but the fact is the games are more fun. People often confuse anything that does not have violence with an immediate, oh that's kiddy. I've got more games on my NES than I do my SMS or Genesis. I've got more SNES games than I do my Genesis or TG16, I've got more N64 games than I do Saturn, I've got more Dreamcast games than I do Gamecube (this is the exception to the rule). And so on...
@DarakuTenshi simply put. Nintendo knows how to make fun playable games for people of all ages. You don't have to have violence, blood, and gore for the game to be fun. PSP was a great system but it's library of games got boring fast. Nintendo DS had a library of games that you want to go back again and again to play. Now I do admit there were a lot of shovelware games on the DS but no one said you have to buy those. And I despise Nintendo for allowing such garbage.
@MrMangapwns Hey don't get me wrong, I love Dark Arms and actually still play the game quite frequent. The comparison was the closest that I could find from the two systems. The video is to compare the systems not the game. I think the NGPC was much more advanced than the GBC and that is really the point of the video. Even though Nintendo had been behind in the power department they always end on top when it comes to handheld gaming.
@MrMangapwns Though the Wonderswan was a great system it didn't have a chance against Nintendo since it was localized rather than being available world wide. I bought my Wonderswan specifically so I could play portable version of Final Fantasy... later being released on the GBA I sold my Wonderswan.
While I think calling the PSP a failure is abit harsh seeing as it held on alot longer than any other competitor I see were your going with this. I don't own a PSP or even plan to get the NGP.
Nintendo just seems to know the hand held market better IMO. I do plan on getting a 3DS mostly for the big N's exclusives and portable SF4 sounds right up my alley for slow work days.
@vacts25 Hey don't get me wrong I'm stoked for the NGP I love hand held gaming! I'll end up getting both, but as soon as Sony announced the NGP I've seen some videos out there that just try feeding off of the technology that has been crammed into Nintendo's competitors systems yet they fail to topple the giant.
@SegaVsNin OK got ya. I try to stay away from hardware flame wars. From just the few topics I've read on various sites Nintendo's fanboys (I have watched your vids and realise you are not 1) try to say PSP was a complete failure. In the context of this video it seems (at first) you were saying the same thing.
@Kefka44 Good for you, I frequently play Ridge Racer on my PSP actually it's probably my favorite game on the system. Of course got to love SOTN as well :D
@vacts25 No it was not a complete failure PSP Go was a complete failure. The PSP was and still is a good system I have it laying right next to me on my nightstand. Sony failed at toppling Nintendo's domination, but the PSP was no where near a failure.

@SegaVsNin I completely agree with the PSP GO. I have no idea what Sony was thinking.
