I've had so much trouble with my CanAm800. At 6 months the engine blew and had to be rebuilt. The front springs collapsed. The winch had to be replaced. The transmission housing leaked water causing the belt to slip. Then the transmission stopped shifting later and now my ATV is in the shop getting a new clutch because it locked up a few weeks ago. Although the warranty is 3 yrs I still have to pay a $50 deductable for each incident. They're fun and fast but unreliable.
@westleysadler Thanks for telling your bad experiences with your Can Am.
At least you haven't had the poorly engineered frame fail on you yet.
Can Ams have some good features and lots of power. But I'd rather give up some power to have a more reliable/durable machine than to have the fastest machine.
Besides, power is usually only good for winning races, bragging rights, and testosterone-induced stunts that can get you killed.
it happened 2 my brothers can am ds 70 and all we had to do is an adjustment but the clutch keeps slipping though i want the renegade 800x or the outlander 800 wut ever ones better
Blown 3 belts in 5000km so I'm on my forth one now. All 3 let me down going wide open around 130km/h. I'm scared to go over 120km/h now. Belts are expensive at 210$ a pop! Great video!!!

Very few people actually NEED that much power.

The belts seem to go quite easily, and theyre not covered by the warranty, kinda sucks.

thats very odd, havent heard anyone with that problem. Unless your usin junk aftermarket belts, or something is wrong with your clutch or sheaves.
