  • Sorted for Es & Wizz is such a great song but if you like this you should check out:

THE VINYLS-GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD

It only takes 3min and this band are amazing!

  • I live only for E

  • @cleander180

Can you still get them ? Decent ones though.

  • @KEVWARD63 Unfortunately a lot have Ketamineso I wait. But when the good ones arrive it is well worth it.

  • @KEVWARD63 haha. rare as rocking horse shit

  • ...PULP REVIVAL NOW!

  • Takes me back to those summers in the mid nineties, oh i miss suede, pulp and elastica. i wish i could be 15 again!

  • they rocked

  • My favourite song of the whole of Reading Festival, because it was literally word for word exactly what my weekend was about! Beautiful, and Pulp were amazing live. I miss it so much, suffering the comedown.

  • CANT WAIT TO SEE THESE AT LEEDSSSSSSSS

  • uhhhh like this so much! remind me of J****, love to play this song with my lovely pink guitar :D Jarvis, U r darn Gooood!

  • what if you never come down?

  • Nice one geezer!

  • I bought 2 copies of this. I managed to get the one that was banned shortly after it was released because the cover looked like a wrap, and the 2nd design released in it's place! '... and you want to call your mother, and say mother, I can never come home again, because I seem to have left an important part of my brain somewhere, somewhere in a field in Hampshire'

  • I bought 2 copies of this. I managed to get the one that was banned shortly after it was released because the cover looked like a wrap, and the 2nd design released in it's place!

  • album of the 1990s by a country mile and its all about the 1990s. the pirate radio told us what was going down, got the tickets from some fezzed up bloke? in camden town. doesnt say that on the album. its Fucked upd bloke. I hate the radio edit of common people.

  • love it!! even years later!!

  • Jarvis Cocker genius

  • Electric Picnic 2011. Get in there.

  • @antoconno can`t wait

  • say what you want about any band in the world, but for me Pulp topped everything... my favourite band now and forever.

  • I am so sick of sixties wankers going on about how their everything was best...my advice is kill them. They'll start about The Beatles, then more underground bands, just kill them. They are stifling our youth. My opinion, but I think it's credible.

  • @Spankabuttux completely agree. 60s was always so over-rated. 90s is THE decade for music. P!sses all over most of the 80's and the 00's didn't happen at all.

  • @mericet39

    From the 00's onwards , mass produced plastic pop & RnB style shite !! Now 40 , have to agree 90's the best...especially early 90's , bangin'choons !!

  • sorted mate ,lol

  • Nice one, geezer!

  • spike island, legend, can't remember it,don't even know if i was there lol

  • @garybradbury1 Yes you do

  • Whitekuduone, what a wanker....ravers are untrustworthy smackheads though. I heard AIDS was started by a raver who blew his whistle when he thought a chimp's arse was a TV camera.

  • @Spankabuttux PMSL

  • AMAZING song ! x

  • Im back at school again feeling naughty for saying the word 'whizz' !!! :-0D

  • this song is amazing!!!

  • ooo wen u come down

  • @whitekuduone - "ooh my party was better than your party" - who cares?! as long as everyone was having a good time

  • Brings back some memories. My brain is still in that field in hampshire too lol. Which is fine, because it was a better place in better days.

  • -

This song sounds like July!! I looove it!

  • Only the proles attended these raves, the real parties were happening in small exclusive flats in Chelsea and Kensington where the drugs were of higher quality. Fucking wankers.

  • @whitekuduone The drugs may have been of higher quality, but like the girl in Common People - you just don't get it do you!!! Us Proles wouldn't have swapped our fields and cheap drugs for any number of your exclusive parties. I think you'll find you were the wankiers!!

  • @1Stoya

In the end, you're still chavs.

  • @whitekuduone haha you just don't get it. Chinless wonders

  • @1Stoya

I'd hardly call twenty quid for an E cheap! Especially if you were on the dole! Well worth it though! ;-)

  • @jasonleigh1974 Mate back in the day! They're so shit now

  • @jasonleigh1974

They had you totally FUBAR for the whole of the night ,I remember MiG 29's ( capsule size ! ) that I got from the Netherlands , you flew just like it's namesake fighter jet for about 8 hours !!

  • @whitekuduone Seriously? Are you for real?!!

  • @whitekuduone

That's bollocks. raves were attended by rich, poor, black, white, young and old...that was the whole point it brought people together. As for high quality drugs...the E's, trips and hash that was knocking about then was top quality imo...unless you're talking about snorting coke and drinking champers. Coke turns people into wankers. Cunt.

  • @whitekuduone What a cunt.

  • This song and performance are spot on. Cheers Jarvis.

  • Jarvis is a gifted storyteller.

  • 15 people missed that like button

  • ahhh the 90's. wonderful memories

  • OMG been so long from i heard this wow stil love it and know the words haha

  • the album of the 90's bar none, an im a massive oasis fan

  • to smart for U.S. radio and its listeners...im sorry i missed it when it first came out..

  • The best Pulp track

  • Jarvis mmmmm

  • this should be SNORTED Out for Es & Wizz, AMIRITE?

  • @killrkillreyes snorting E?

  • @killrkillreyes Jeeesus! I'd never snort wizz or E's

  • Kinda sounds like bowie a bit.

  • I love it!!!

  • LOVE that tune, thanks for reminding me!!!

  • Comment removed

  • lol , when my local radio station plays this (and its rare) they dont say the name of it they just say , eerm yeah that was pulp with another 90s anthem.

  • fat tune

  • Can somebody tell me when the spaceship lands? Because Planet Pulp's the place i want to be right now.

  • Oh is this the way the future's meant to feel ?

Or just 20,000 people standing in a field ?

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of the rave scene is it ? Pulp are in a fine tradition of irony laden intelligent British songwriting.

    S.x.

  • definately fucked up!

  • "messed up" or "fucked up" ???

  • Fucked up...

  • both

  • fuck off

  • go deas. those wer the days

  • Was there...........was sorted........ace!

  • NDE s mostly not at all drugs-related. In my case there was lost of blood. (Can t You ask me directly. I took U for a brave man!?!)

  • I bought this single on tape in Woolsworths and the assistant had to get it from under the counter because of the controversery it caused lol!!! They could not have it on display!

  • god this song reminds me of the time when ES and WIZZ were illegal lol

  • they aren't now?

  • still illegal lol

  • eh?

  • which makes it fucking awesome lol

  • @Elvinauk haha i bought on tape to, from Ourprice. Pulp were far and away the best band of this era! Different Class was just that - Different Class!!!

  • @Elvinauk Agh tape, those were not the days.

  • @warriorprince1010 I still have all my Pulp tapes lol, I hasten to add I don't play them as all their albums are on my laptop of course :O)

  • it was my wake up all night times ..... *Sad version - never walk alone ~~

  • love this song always makes me smile.

  • I always feel a bit of a cringe when I hear the word Britpop - not because of the music that is synonymous with it, but because it was such a blunt marketing tool

  • Lost my friends and danced alone

Ah yeah, happened at nearly ever rave.

Not that you ever gave a fcuk until 12 hours later when it was time to get home lol

  • where's big tam

  • this is song is so true!! how many times have you said "nice on geezer" after scoring some disco biscuits!!!

  • Don't do it Kidz........Just say NO.

    LMAO....

  • jarvis rules, but who's on the fiddle?

  • Don't know, but don't tell the social.........

  • PMSL

  • my ex used tohave massive bags of whiz, i used to take a spoonful in a glass of orange- what a nob i was

  • Happy days reminds me of Sunday mornings years ago coming down after a weekender

  • One of the best from 90s!!

  • And you want to phone you mooother!

  • muther lol

  • Cheerz, that offended someone else for some reason!

  • Oh that really pisses me off, people who take offense at stuff posted on here - let em try and get a life- i thought u were funny mate

  • Great song. But sorted for e's and wizz is that some kind of english expression? Means Extasy and?...

  • speed is whiz in England

  • Thanks.

  • o and ecstasy don't have an X! Unless your american lol

  • whizz is slang for speed- amphetamines

  • reminds me of when i was 6 :D great tiems

  • Love this song - and Pulp reminds me of my teenage years!

  • Too right! Love this tune!

  • Top fucking Tune!! I love the Cocker!!

  • its all coke now and fuckin chavs

not like in our day eh boys

    the 90's

  • Saw jarvis talking about this song last night, its about how he used to go to raves an people that would normaly kick your head in were all loved up but once they come down, he'd lost his mates an no-one wanted to give him a lift home. (hence the line about calling his mum) the sorted for e's an wizz line came from a stone roses gig with manc lads constantly asking "everyone sorted for e's an wizz?"

  • one of the best song ever!

  • The tune of my life in the 90's ;)

    Cracking song brilliant band.

  • what if you never come down?

  • So true this song is. Amazing band. How good was the Britpop era?

  • I know what the E's are, but what does he mean by Wizz?

Im just curious because in America we dont have any drugs by that name.

  • speed

  • Ahhh ok.

    Thanks

  • whizz in england = cocaine or speed! different areas different names my yankee friend.

  • Thanks!

  • the 90's were awesome, but no better nor worse than any other decade- its what you make of it- i was pissed paralytic, slept with 4 women a week throughout the 90's before i settled down. i half regret it, but treasure the memories.

  • whizz has always been speed in the south east.or billy.

  • Whizz is the slang name for amphetamines (speed).

  • yes and i had 7 grams of it last night, im in a right state!! talk to frank

  • haha

  • Comment removed

  • i once tried talking to Frank- he's a useless c**t

  • Wonder if that's the same Frank I know.

  • No - Frank what'shisname from the co-op. You know, with the moustache, creepy like.

  • hello danny o brien ;)

  • Great song

  • You sort of forget how good and how important a band they were, genius!!.

  • nice one gezzer

  • this my favourite song in the whole entire world :) so good

  • just keep on movin...........

  • Jarvis sings at the end "What if you never come down", that would save you a few quid wouldn't it.

  • imfixintodie, YOU should calm down. Suspectdevice7 is just stating the fact that people should think BEFORE taking this shit, and he's not saying that it's funny. When some of them never come down, it's sad, it's very sad, but it's their own fault and they should have thinked about it before, they should have listened to this song very carefully, for instance. People who take drugs do it on their own responsability, and don't try to put the fault on someone else.

  • get a grip and stop swearing, its not big and its not clever......you sound like a right divvey

  • Up all week, playing hide and seek, don't want no sleep, coz I'm a speed freak!!

  • I want to go to that field in Hampshire now! Or any field for that matter! Fantatic choon

  • i used to listen to this on my walkman during my paper round in manchester every morning.i was only 11 years old i thought e's and wizz were like some aliens that had come out of the spaceship or smt cuz i had no idea about what e's and wizz were and tried to understand it in the only way that i could, tryna tie up loose ends in the tune that i understood.Listening to it now is just as good, having done the whole e's and wizz thing myself,I realize pulp is subliminal to blame for my drugphase lol

  • In the middle of the night it feels all right but then tommorrow morning uhhuhhhuh

  • reminds me of bowie

pulp are amazing way underrated :(

  • You're very right, this song is such a song that Bowie could have written, which in my opinion is a major compliment to Pulp.

I could swear that the entire time I was watching this that Jarvis Cocker was David Tennant XD They're really similar!

  • I had a great reunion to this song last week, fucked off my face on pills & speed. There was no other song that was more appropriate really!

  • lmfao

  • This could only happen in Britain loads of people stood in a field off their tits great days away from the law at the beginning of the scene

  • such a brilliant song! extreamly underestimated !

  • This takes me back to reading festival out of my head listening to this song. Ah the good old days.

  • I gave a little Japanese fella a big hug in a club once when I had an e.

He was so shocked. He must've thought I was going to bum him or something. :D

  • a very underrated song very clever lyrics brilliant

  • speed

  • okay, i'm a yank. what exactly is e's and wizz? ecstasy and something else? not sure. but i love the song. great stuff.

  • ecstasy and speed.

  • thanks!

  • ecstasy and amphetamine.

  • had to eventually replace e's and wizz with boring guinness and buckfast, but hey either that or men in white coats

  • you a legend mate!

  • I'm sad they have him say Messed up bloke instead of the classic fucked up bloke =p

  • I'm sorted on strongbow and loving Jarvis, never mind E,s and wizz, get on the strongbow. still only a fiver for eight 500ml cans, get down to your local paki shop now.

  • mmmmm mmmmm good old taxable toxins.

  • Well said. All drugs the same. :o)

  • , and another fact crime levls amongst gangs (continuation)would drop so lmuch! WHoeevr you are you dont have a clue what your taling about. This is not Barkinmadson this is peter william corkhill and im proud to say what i believe in!

  • whoever was saying that drugs rt cool and that jarvis isnt a legend should just do one! drugs have been a oart of our society for hundreds if years and if they made them legal they would be safer and better controlled, your obviously a underinformed ignorant cunt who doesnt look at both sides f the argument, the NHS would be so sorted theyd include dentist surgery which through conservitive rule for so long eventually died out

  • you fuckin tell them mate!!!!

  • shit hot

  • OMG! What a tune! sum up my times ravein & rite off my tits!

  • when british people call each other cunt and wanker!!!!!!! you fucking cunt

  • Its funny when British people call each other "cunt" & "blud-y wainkah"

Jarvis must be like 6' 3"

This song has the best keyboards

    -s

  • wicked pulp at there best gr8 tune!

  • nice song

  • Anyway... great song!

  • What the hell are you lot talking about?

  • They captured a moment in time,God bless them.

  • The piont is not that Pulp got big, its that since 'This is hardcore' they 've lost something that made Pulp so special once. What follows was just crap.End of fuckin story.
