i dont know who told you to go with a 125 or 250 cuz if ur gonna start racing and ur 13 you WILL get kille din the first ride so id go with a 85 or crf150r. easy to handle, light, and quick little bikes. then when you get experience and get older a 125 or 250 would be about right but a 125 is a WHOLE lot less work than a 250 four stroke

you have to use the clutch to put the bike into gear (from neutral to first) and then you use the clutch to shift it up (2nd to 3rd) or down (3rd to 2nd). you also need to use the clutch to go from first back into neutral.
